First of all, thanks to everybody for their sweet words! Just ask Billy, all through our trip I was saying "this will be great in our trip report!".
So... when we got to the hotel after the wedding, we discovered that our digital camera was in a bag with a bottle of sparkling apple cider that had exploded. How these things happen is beyond me! The camera was ruined but we were able to save the memory card. So the rest of the trip we had to use my manual camera and my mom's digital. We cleaned up after the explosion and were on our way to AK.
By the time the whole crew (and I do mean everybody) got there it was already 4:00. Billy and I were the only ones that had been there before so we let the others do what they wanted and we just went along and made goo goo eyes at each other. We caught the tail end of the parade as soon as we got there.
Sam, as usual, got the best seat in the house!
Everyone except for us and Sam went to see It's Tough to be a Bug.
We love the 3-d glasses shots!
Billy and I took Sam to Dinoland to wait for mom to be done with ITTBAB. My mom is obsessed with dinosaurs and was looking forward to riding Dinosaur. When she arrived, we gave Sam to Grandma and hit the ride. I was terrified yet again, but my mom loved it and this is when Billy and I saw the dramatic change in her that I would like to call..."My Disney-hating mother getting caught up in the
Magic" . Needless to say my mom wasn't excited to be coming to Disney World for our wedding but she was being a good sport. However, once she got off of Dinosaur she became a totally different creature. She was dancing around, jumping on rides,
and generally acting extremely happy. I have two witnesses that heard my mom say that she would come back to WDW! Success! I have converted one of the hardest people on Earth to our Disney way of life!
"Granny said she would come back!"
After we rode this ride three hundred times, it was time for Billy and I to catch a bus to the Contemporary for our dinner at the California Grill. We said goodbye at Dinoland, with one last shot...
Everyone else stayed at AK. We headed to the Contemporary and had a wonderful meal. I promise I didn't get too many looks for having full bridal headgear while wearing jeans. Promise!
