So we get off the elevator and instantly I am alone with Sam (a two-year-old in a tux) and Maxine. This is what I see:
I was so excited at how pretty the cake looked. I couldn't peek around the corner to see where everyone was because I didn't want Billy to see me, so I didn't really know where I was going to be walking. Maxine adjusted my train, said "They're playing your song. Whenever you're ready, go ahead and walk down the aisle." The violin was playing "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes". This was my song, but I couldn't believe everything was happening so fast. Maxine left! I looked at Sam, he looked at me. I asked him if he was ready, and he said "Sure". This is his word for everything. So, I took a deep breath, and started walking. This is where everything starts to get a little fuzzy. I know that Sam stepped on my dress the entire way down the aisle but once I saw Billy my brain shut off. He was trying not to cry. I remember thinking "These flowers are way too heavy and I am shaking someone take them quick!" but I didn't say it. Some Pictures:
My mom, Grandma and Sam
The ceremony was surprisingly quick and Rev. Jack did a wonderful job. He was perfect. I don't remember much, but I do remember how strong and clear Billy's voice was when he said his vows; he didn't sound nervous at all. Suddenly, we were married!
