Day 2- Sunday June 6th, 2010- EP morn emh/MK night emh!

Even though we had a lonnnng day, and a late night the night before, we were up bright and early to get ready for morning EMH at EPCOT. We were at the lounge area at 6:55 am, to find it still locked up. At 7:00 am sharp, they opened the doors and we went in to grab our food. We had toasted mini bagels, fruit, and yogurt. I also took a covered cup of mineral water with me.

DisneyAnniversaryTrip081-1.jpg

By 7:15 we were at the bus stop, and on a bus by 7:20. By the time we got off the bus and walked over to the turnstile area, it was after 7:30, and there was a small crowd of about 60 people waiting. There was also the Princess Breakfast line, for those with early ADRs. We made friends with a nice older couple who were there without their children/grandchildren, and were having a great time! They stuck with us for a bit actually! They kept up pretty well! After we were allowed through the turnstiles, we were held up by the fountain area for rope drop. We were going straight for Soarin', as were a lot of people. After rope drop, the cm's led us through to the Land making sure everyone was walking. We went straight for the Standby line, and were on and off the ride in no time at all. We even got to ride 1st row, which is by far our favorite. After this ride, for some reason I was a little dizzy. I always hold on and get a little disoriented on this ride sometimes, as silly as it seems, and first ride of the day this made me a little dizzy for sure. We got our FP's for later, with a return time of 9:15 am.

We then went and took a ride on MS Orange and loved it as usual! We rode with a birthday girl and her friend, who had never ridden before. They ended up loving the ride too! It always makes me a little nervous to ride with people who are ride virgins on this one, because I'm sooo scared they'll puke!! I know it's an irrational fear, but still! I always make DH sit in the middle and I sit on the far end no matter what! But these girls were good, and loved it! I would have gone again, but DH didn't want to, so we walked over to Test Track. We decided to go Single Rider, because the Standby was already at 30 minutes. We walked right on to the same car! I got to sit up front with two little girls, and their parents sat in the back with DH. They were SO cute! They were a little scared, and I helped them and talked them through the ride. They were so brave! I was scared of EVERYTHING as a kid, and this would have probably freaked me a bit. They loved silly bandz, and we talked about those for awhile.

After TT, we made our way over to do Sum of All Thrills! We couldn't wait for this one!! There was no line when we got there, and went in right away. We were also the first ones finished with our design out of our group, so we were able to ride right away. I thought it was fun, but I would do a different design next time. We never ended up going back, so that's something I'm definitely looking forward to for next trip! It was already time for our Soarin' FP, so we made our way back over to the Land. It was probably about a 10 minute wait for Soarin, maybe a little more. We rode in the 3rd row, and sat next to a really cute little girl. I gave her some princess stickers after the ride for being so brave, and she was so happy!

After Soarin', we needed a snack, so we headed to Sunshine Seasons. I was craving something savory, and the little cup of tuna salad was spot on! DH and I shared it, and a bottle of SmartWater for our first 2 snack credits. It really hit the spot, and held us over til lunch. We decided to go over to the Seas and check out the aquarium. We spent almost 40 minutes in here just exploring and looking at all the amazing sea creatures. We saw the manatees up close, and were able to speak with the trainer/cm for a bit about them and their diets and lifestyle. Then we watched a dolphin training session with Kiver the dolphin. It was amazing how they train him to associate different shapes, and pick them out like reading. While we were exploring the aquarium, DH noticed that some rocks at the floor of the tank were shaped into a Mickey head. I said, yeah, they're everywhere! He said what do you mean, everywhere? I'm like, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! Hidden Mickeys! All over property! In fabrics, wallpapers, clocks, furniture, attractions, EVERYWHERE! There's a book! And so DH's fascination with Hidden Mickeys was born.

DisneyAnniversaryTrip084-1.jpg

We then made our way back over to Innoventions, because we had some time to kill! It was at Innoventions that we learned about Kim Possible, and got our assignment, Italy, after 12 pm!! This is something we had never done before, so we were excited! We then stopped by Ice Station Cool to have some delicious refreshments. My favorite here is the ginger ale, by far. DH loves the watermelon soda. Neither of us likes Beverly.

After our refreshments, we started walking to World Showcase. We started in Canada, and made our way through England to France. We stopped at the Twinings store and bought me a new Alice teacup, and a box of Mickey Shorts bread cookies. Then who do we see in France, but BELLE!!! DH's LOVE!! So of course we waited on line for just a few minutes to meet her, and he was all flustered. I told her she was his FAVORITE! And he blushed of course. :lovestruc:lovestruc After our encounter with Belle, we checked in for our meal at Les Chefs de France. I love French people! I love their accents, their language, their food, their country!! I was excited to practice my French and eat all this yummy food. The lunch was delicious, and we even got to watch a balancing act show right out front!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip097-1.jpg

They also had an ENORMOUS bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau that I just HAD to take a picture of for my mom. She loves that stuff!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip098-1.jpg

After our yummy lunch we stopped right outside to get me a delicious Grey Goose Lemonade slushie!!! SOOOO GOOOD!!! It's the perfect portion size, and just totally hits the spot in the heat. You can taste the vodka too, it's got a little bite! We walked around taking in the sights, as we made our way over to Italy to pick up our Kim Possible mission! Our mission ended up being for Germany, and it was really fun! Next trip we'll definitely do a couple more missions for sure. On our way out of WS, we stopped in Mexico to get some well needed margaritas from La Cava del Tequila!!! YUMMMM!!! I got the clasico margarita with Patron Silver, and DH got the blood orange Margarita. Both were soooo good. I have to say the blood orange one was too sweet for my taste, but it was still yummy. DH liked it, but also thought it was really sweet. They both had a good bit of tequila in them, and we were both having a great time by the time we made it over to Mouse Gears. DH needed a better pair of sunglasses, which we were luckily able to find. We then hopped on Spaceship Earth before heading out of the park. I love SE, and it was definitely fun with a little buzz  :rotfl:

There was no wait for the bus, and we made it back to WL in no time. We kicked back in the room while a bit of a rainstorm came down. We decided that we would sample some of the lounge offerings, and did cheese and veggies and dip. My fave! We started getting ready for dinner at Narcoossee's. We were excited for this, because we were meeting our dis-friends for the first time after dinner! Very exciting!! I had never met anyone from the Dis before!! We were running a little late, so we hopped a cab over to GF and got there in 5 minutes. We found our way to Narcoossee's, and when we walked in I found my Dis-friend iheartpluto waiting right there!! We got to say our hellos first, and exchange the gifts we had brought for each other. We were seated in no time, at a BEAUTIFUL window table overlooking the Magic Kingdom. This dinner was just magical! Our server was top notch, and made the meal superior. He gave us Mickey straws to take home, which was super sweet. DH and I enjoyed Agave Nectar margaritas, and feasted on filet mignon and whole Maine lobster for me. YUM!!!! This meal was just stellar!!

After dinner we met up with our buddies Joanne and Eric (who happened to be celebrating their one year anniversary that night!) and went over to the shops in the GF so Jo could buy her super soft Pluto she had been eyeing. Then we took some photopass pics at the GF photo spot. After that it was a hop on the monorail over to MK for the Main Street Electrical Parade!!!! AND Summer Nightastic Fireworks Spectacular!!! After getting an Anniversary button for DH at his insistence lol, we walked through the shops on Main Street and then staked out a spot for the parade. Man my butt hurt after 40+ minutes of sitting on it, but it was well worth it!! We were on the bridge over the Swan boat area, and it was the perfect spot. The parade was really fun and bright, and man that music gets stuck in your head!! I can see how some people find it irritating, but I loved it! DH found it irritating, so after awhile he was like OMGGG ENOUGH!!!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip126-1.jpg

After the parade we waited the 25 minutes for the fireworks. The show is GREAT. That night was very still and muggy, and the part where they "blow up" the castle looked AMAZING because none of the smoke blew away. It lingered around the castle and really looked cool. After the fireworks we made our way over to Laugh Factory and had a blast! We love that attraction! It was then that we tried to ride Space Mountain, and Mike and Eric had a little "moment" :rotfl: Joanne and I went to use the bathroom, and Mike and Eric went to check on the line for Space Mountain. As they were approaching it, a CM said "the ride is shut down for now, but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!" Mike said THANK YOU! Not realizing that the CM thought THEY were the couple! Both guys were wearing anniversary pins, and it WAS Gay Days! Omg Joanne and I were DYING!!!! DYING I TELL YOU!!! :rotfl2:

After a good laugh we made our way over to BTMRR, which I had on my list of must-do's. I wanted to ride in the back row, at night, which we did. It was SOOOO FUN!!! What a rush!! After the ride we hopped on POTC hoping not get stuck on it like Joanne and Eric had, and we were lucky, we only stopped for a second. After the ride we decided to get a dole whip YUMMO!! Joanne has her own special version, vanilla ice cream with pineapple juice sooo good!! At this point it was approaching 1:30 am!! Mike and I were supposed to be at Crystal Palace at 9 am, and let me tell you, I knew then it wasn't going to happen!! We all made our way slowly out of the park, and Mike picked up his Hidden Mickeys book on Main Street. We were even lucky enough to see a CM who painted characters in the street with a mop and a bucket of water!! It was incredible!! Jo had been telling me about the guy they saw earlier that day, and then we were lucky enough to see it with our own two eyes and it is very impressive!

We were soooo tired, MK night emh til 2 am really kills you!! Especially when you started the day with MORNING emh!!! We were in bed by 3:00 am or a little after. You'll have to wait and see if we made it to Crystal Palace for breakfast or not!!!

Day 3- Monday June 7th, 2010- Part 1

So after getting to bed past 3:00 am, there really was no way we were going to burn ourselves out and get up for MK opening show and our CP ressie. So we decided to sleep late and see where the day took us. We got up around 10:00 and took our time getting ready. We decided we would go to DTD and do our shopping. We really wanted to do Characters in Flight (the hot air balloon) but because of bad weather it wasn't up and running most of the time we were there. We knew we would be just doing our shopping, and having lunch. On our way out we stopped by the lounge and grabbed a couple of sugar cookies, and some water to tide us over. We stopped by the CM podium to see if they could get us a ressie at Raglan Road for lunch, and they could, 1:45 pm. It was just after noon, so we said great!

After no wait for a bus, we started off on our trip to DTD, first stopping at the GF. When we got there, we went straight to the Scrapbooking store and I bought two packs of stickers to give out to little princes and princesses. I love doing this! Kids and parents seem to love it too. We bought one Pixar sticker book, and one Princess sticker book. They're the ones that are long like bookmarks, and have a few pages of each character. It ended up working out great, because I was able to ask them who their favorite princess was, and then they could have a whole strip of stickers!

We also walked through the art store there, which I just love doing. If I ever won the lotto I would buy some of that beautiful art, during my 3-week WDW stay :rotfl:  We stopped by the Christmas store, and scoped out what we liked and decided we would come back after lunch. We also stopped by Team Mickey to try to buy DH an Argentina jersey but they were all sold out.

Then it was time for some hidden Mickeys!! DH went CRAZY at DTD at all the stores looking for as many hidden Mickeys as possible! You have no idea how cool some of these Mickey's are. Let me show you!!

This is on the Lego dalmatian outside the Lego store.

DisneyAnniversaryTrip154-1.jpg

This is on one of the tentacles of the GIANT octopus inside T-Rex Cafe!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip155-1.jpg

This was part of the sign of the toy store, Once upon a Toy? I don't remember the name.

DisneyAnniversaryTrip180-1.jpg

Very cool! DH was in love, running around with his nose in the book, tracking down Hidden Mickeys. It was pretty cute I have to say, and I was hungry but patient at first, but by now I WAS HUNGRYYYY!!! So we headed over to Raglan Road to check in for our ADR. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and we had a really nice peaceful lunch. I had a delicious melonball type drink, called One for the Road. It had pineapple juice in it, and was very refreshing.

This was me with my AMAZING Scallop Forest appetizer. It was a meal in itself, and was perfectly fried and sooo yummy!! Just had to put this pic of the cool presentation in.

DisneyAnniversaryTrip167-1.jpg

After lunch we went back to the stores to pick up the goodies we had scoped out. Well, I went to do that, DH went on his own looking for more Mickeys! I bought a Rex plush for our little cousin, a ton of princess and Toy Story 3 silly bandz, I made a charm bracelet for our other little cousin, some goodies for people at work...Then I realized it had been awhile! Where was my DH?? STILL MICKEY HUNTING!!! When I finally found him we decided to head over to Goofy's Candy Co. to get some yummy snacks for later! Here DH was able to find GOOFY'S SHADOW!! COOL!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip199-1.jpg

By this time we were POOPED! We headed back over to the bus stops to catch a bus back to WL. Or so we thought. In our tired state, we managed to get on a Fort Wilderness bus!!! NOOOOO!!! Once we got there, and asked the bus driver how the heck to get back to the WL, we realized it might be awhile. He told us to take the Settlement Bus Orange, and that would take us back to WL. Well we watched every dang color bus come and go a few times, before Finally the Orange bus came about 25 minutes later. By now I'm cranky and tired! We made it back to WL and trudged up to our room, only to be met with this little fellow!!!

DisneyAnniversaryTrip220-1.jpg

MY VERY FIRST TOWEL ANIMAL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! In half a dozen or more Disney trips I've neverrrrr gotten a towel animal!!! THIS WAS HUGE!!!! DH happened to be on the phone with his mom when we walked in the door, and I literally Screamed! AAAAAAHH!! The woman must have thought I had lost it! :rotfl: But I was just so elated! At that point we plopped our stuff down and decided what to do in the hours we had before our Artist Point dinner....

Thanks for the great trip report AND food report! I'm loving following along with both!

In fact, I loved your mini-wedding cakes so much that I'll be surprising hubby with one tonight after check-in!

BUT - I'm hoping we don't have ponchos in the bed! LOL! That was too funny! :rotfl:

Omg those scallops were perfect! Sooo good! I just wish we had space for the bread and butter pudding. I still dream about it.
