There's been quite a bit of discussion about the negative aspects of BCV. I thought I'd post our recent experiences there to kind of balance things out...
We checked in on Sunday and had a great CM named Amber from Ft. Worth. We had a very nice chat while she checked us in and she found us a room that was ready (11:00 AM).

This is Amber!

We unpacked and left for MGM to see Fantasmic. When we returned, we found a surprise from Mickey and Minnie!

Today, we decided to thank Amber by delivering a post card to the front desk addressed to Mickey and Minnie c/o Amber from Ft. Worth thanking them for the wonderful welcome home and telling them to take good care of Amber. When we returned from the Luau tonight, we found another surprise; this time from Sam Pensula and the entire cast of the Yacht and Beach Club.

The moral to the story is: Bring your own magic and spread it around. You'll get tenfold back in return!

We also love the BCV . thanks for a good report. many times we hear negative reports.. dave:rolleyes:

there are a few diehard DVC'ers from other home resorts that do not consider anything other them OKW as DVC property, all of us that have bought in at BCV'S , BW , and WLV know that our resorts are just as nice and wonderdul. Thanks for the report and I'm glad your trip was memorable.

Disney4Ever, I think the recent over the top complaints about BCV did not come from OKW owners. I think the anti-BCV sentiment tends to come more from their nearby neighbors at BWV. ;)

HorizonsFan, thanks for sharing your very positive experiences. Your good fortune of getting some "special" attention can balance out those who have reported unusual "terrible" experiences. Funny, how people at the same place can have such different views. The truth is always somewhere in the middle. Thanks for getting us back there!

Exactly! There's always three sides to every story!

Glad you had an awsome trip! I hope to make it to my home, BCV, sometime soon! The last two times I've tried to book it, it's been full!

:sunny: :earseek: WOW!!! What Treatment! Was that because you are from Texas and so was Amber? Either way, thanks for the great report on BCV. We are heading there for our First trip home in 2 WEEKS!!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

So glad to read about your magical experiences, HorizonsFan! I agree with your sentiment about bringing your own magic.

It's kinda like love, now isn't it? The more you give, the more you get!

Great pics, too. Thanks for sharing!

I believe the correct mathimatical formula is:

Sides to story = (Number of participants)*2 + 1

everyone has different taste - BCV and BWV are alike in some ways and very unalike in others

just wait for the reaction to SS from OKW owners when it opens.

Every time a new DVC resort opens - someone is complaining - they always act like their resort should have been the last one built by DVC....

I really wish one day that DVC would built in one of Disney's other theme parks too....

Well, guys, I own 2 contracts at OKW, and I love the BCVs!!!!!!!! We stayed there in October 2002 and Janaury 2003, and had a wonderful time both times.

The staff couldn't have been better and nicer, the rooms were great, I love the location.

No complaints about BCV from this OKW owner.

that all OKW owners were like that PamOKW. There are a few that will do nothing but state all the other resorts are nothing like OKW. I have never been to OKW so I can not comment on them...nor would I.
As far as I'm concerned each resort is quite unique, and that is what makes DVC such a great place to be a part of. So if I offended you, I am sorry.

I am also an OKW owner, but I added on at the BCV.
I love all the DVC's.
Anyway, thanks for posting on your magical experience.

Very nice story.....and wow...some kind of royal treatment there!!!

Glad to hear you had a great trip. :)

Maybe we can borrow Amber over at VWL for my check-in coming up soon! ;)

So happy to here about your magical trip. We'll be at BCV in just 3 weeks. We can't wait.

Michele

Good karma is always rewarded. DW and I have stayed at all of the resorts but HH and have yet to find a bad DVC resort (as if that could be possible). We just love them all for their differences. OKW is so laid back and relaxing, BWV are always hopping with lots to do. BCV are just next door to Epcot and SAB is great. VWL really let you get away from it all while being close to so much. VB is wonderful. Until you have been there you just don't know what you are missing is true of all of the DVC resorts.:smooth:

That way this great trip report could stay on page one for at least a couple days.

Maybe a little soap scum in the shower ? Lint at the bottom of the safe ? Not even one ant ?

A little follow-up...
We spent the weekend at the Poly. WOW! Those rooms are HUGE!
Now we're home at BWV. DW checked in while I was out playing golf (isn't she great?). We got upgraded to a preferred view, presumably because of the standard view renovations. The new siding looks great and we're very glad to be home. I just watched the fireworks and listened to Fantasmic from my balcony. This vacation has been the best so far...
Our decision to buy DVC is re-affirmed every time we come home.
