I agree, I think, due to all our RC'ing that caused more work for CM's we should all be punished with being grounded in the Cinderella Castle.

DH took the DD's out for some Halloween costume shopping today, DD9 is going to be a cat, DD7 some sort of Monster High girl, and DD4 is going to a pirate. Hers is a recycled costume, but she doesn't mind. Here is a pic of them today.

Jen: Oh, how flippin' CUTE are those girls! GREAT choices on the costumes. I love their posing, too. (When I get back from shopping, I'll post one of Miss M in her outfit.)

Jeanette: That video ROCKS; the absolute perfect mix of geek and good-looking folks! Who won that Magic game, anyway?

Sue: Why does it not surprise me that lighting changes were made? We had one heck of a time picking out lighting for our last project.

Melissa: Thanks for messaging me. Hope the rest helps make those germs go away; when they're not bouncing off the walls, you know it's the real deal.

... off to the store. Then back to put a deposit down. Although with the furloughs continuing on, not sure if we'll be able to keep any bookings I make.

Is your DH furloughed right now? He works for the gov't right?

I am so sick of the whole thing, it's so ridiculous.

My DH has not missed any time from work because he was deemed essential and he was just notified today that he will be paid on time throughout the shutdown due to the "pay our military" act, but I'll see it when I believe it...

On another note.......... I really should not have visited the Poly on my trip last week......I am jonesin' really hard right now over it. I am rationalizing in my head how the construction won't be so bad, etc., etc...

the only real dealbreaker for me is the lack of a pool, so that's the wild card...do I take the chance???? WWYD?

Miss and MM-This furlough stuff is so annoying. Dh believes they will make up back pay, but in the meantime what a mess. They had to cancel all travel in his office again.

Fingers crossed for you guys. Yeah, the lab my hubs works for is operated by the DoE. They only have 3 weeks of surplus to keep everyone at work and paid, then the furloughs start. I'm thankful for those 3 weeks; it's just awful for those who are going through this. Self-important, reckless idiots in D.C., all of them.

Sorry that it's affecting you guys. Same has been happening with my husband's work -- all non-essential travel has been suspended. (Silly thing is, he was supposed to be going to D.C. for a DoE committee; that's not going to happen now because they're all currently furloughed. Bad news is, being oblivious scientists, they'll probably reschedule the week of Thanksgiving. ) I have a contractor friend in D.C. who is just up the creek with these furloughs, I guess back pay doesn't extend to contractors? Or I guess it depends on the company.

Tikiman has the link up too it is 33 pics from all over the resort. Being a person who loves exploring the resorts I stay at and taking lots of pictures the fences would bother me, especially staying there for the first time.

DH and I were happy, because it saves about $600 (which doesn't suck given this govt crap).
