Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

Missoutandabout...I'm thinking breakfast since we will be getting up early...Hubby's up around 6ish no matter what! I can probably crawl outta bed around 7....We'll see! Eh...the shoulder does what it wants..ugh. Retail lifting killed it a while back!

So funny that once my reservations are all set to go...I'm dreaming of keeping my September ones...I should be giving that one up CR BLT..but ohhh...it just looks so good!:rotfl2: I really must be grown up.....

Need to go back and read but wanted to stop in and mention check your flights if you fly JB my return November flight dropped yet again $30 per person  I now have $142 in credits

Kinda makes up for Bella's $207 Vet Bill :faint: She weighed in at 133 lbs, a gain of 10lbs :scared1: so tomorrow she starts a diet :rotfl:

Hi Jenny! :) Big Happy Birthday to your princess! You are right, they sure do grow up fast! I am a bit nostalgic today -- My DS (Josh) - oldest just turned 21. He's officially legal in both Canada and the USA. and off my medical benefits as a dependent :( I am sad because he's still struggling with what direction to go with his life. I'll be here to support him though as long as I can, and I hope things look up for him this yr!

MISS: Glad the clown pool doesn't look toooo bad!
The BWI is in major running for our resort of choice for youngest DS's grad trip in Jan 2015/ thinking of making it near the end of Jan - my 45th bday will be on the 29th and I can't think of a better place I'd rather celebrate!!!

I'm sure I've missed a bunch more replies for as long as it has taken me to type this one out... :rolleyes1

Heather : I would be the one that would love to have WDW for my birthday!! ME!! I hope they never start asking me that, then we would be going 3 times a year!!:scratchin

Miss: Hiya! Yes, I hope she has a nice b-day even without a party, the girls in her class this year have been a bit...oh shall we say catty??? so she wants to just have her one tried and true BFF and their family over on Friday. And yes we are still at BC, but just between us all here, the resort choice may still be in jeopardy.

I see that chin-scratchin' going on. You know, I need to work on that too... next year is my "biggun" so we just may be going back NEXT October! :scratchin

Her laid-back birthday sounds just the ticket.

Think positive thoughts, my friend. Keep thinking of SAB. I'll help you out and think about it, too. ;) :beach:

Still tweaking ADRs.

So, trying to decide if we A) do an 11am breakfast at 'Ohana on arrival day before checking in to CBR, then CS for lunch/snack later before 9pm dinner at BOG or B) do quick breakfast on way to CBR (offsite), check in, then do a late lunch (2pm) at Kona then 9pm dinner at BOG.

Or something I haven't thought of yet??

Plan A sounds more doable methinks. 2pm Kona and 9pm BOG sounds like too many big meals too close together? Though, I do love the menu at Kona. :upsidedow I'm of no help whatsoever. :rotfl:

Hi Miss, We've been going to Food and Wine for awhile, probably 4 years or so? I think your plan sounds fine. Monday and Tuesday earlier are really nice. Weekends can be busy, but as long as you avoid the overly crowded booths you'll do fine. Just stop back later when the line has gone down. Most of the lines go pretty fast. You guys are going to have such fun!!!

About your ADR thoughts, it's mighty nice to be able to walk to dinner.

I'll be away for a few days, we're off to a wedding. Should be fun! I'll check in when we get back, and try to get updated on the most recent resort changes!

Thanks for the F&W tips! :goodvibes I think maybe we'll get one of those passport thingies for Miss M to do so she's more keen on stopping at all the countries. That coupled with the Perry/Duffy coloring should make it easier for get ALL the booths in (well, not all... but I'm sure my tummy will feel like that afterward.)

I agree about the "walking back" after a meal. Can't be beat! :thumbsup2 You just helped me make up my mind. Those cocktails at Bluezoo are top-notch, too.

Enjoy the wedding!

Another warm and fuzzy simultaneous post coming up:grouphug:

We're still on vacation so I'm not thread current, but had to post about what I've been up to on vacation.

Ginny, where are you when I need you?! DH has had me calling WDTC daily trying to get CL. I usually never call from my iPhone and must have been in vacation mode when I accidentally dialed 1-800 instead of 1-407 and ended up on some adult chat line:rotfl2:. After calling daily, I did get CL just now for WL:goodvibes, which probably won't surprise any of you that I changed to Old Faithful.

We have an "ADR" here soon at the marina so I have to run. Happy hour is calling

LOL, mental note to not dial any 800 Disney numbers. :lmao: Yesssss for getting your favorite spot. :worship: Enjoy the drinks!

The characters are pretty great there, too. :thumbsup2 Bah, no "growing up" required here at all. :thumbsup2

You've almost got a whole ticket there in credits. :thumbsup2 So, when's that next trip planned? ::yes::

Bella is a big fur baby, awwwww. Each time you mention how poor thing gets scared when it's stormy, I'll be imagining a small horse getting up on your lap to hide. :rotfl: :dogdance:

I knew I'd miss someone! ...

Happy Birthday to him! :dance3: Yeah, you should definitely go with an Epcot resort.

I think we'll love it there. Even with no SAB, we just feel like we're not at Disney now unless it's in the Epcot area. (It was the one thing my hubster said he missed when we were at AKL -- which was otherwise perfect to us in every way.) That slide looks a lot less creepy in person than it does in pics, honest. I actually think I may be able to convince Miss M to go down it, too... it appears quite tame speed-wise.

The hour is getting happier...

That looks totally yummy!! Enjoy!!!

(And then later maybe save that number we all call on your phone. It has earned a place in your frequently called numbers. That should prevent any future dialing malfunctions. :rotfl2::rotfl2:)

We all copy in the hopes that this plate of delish.....would Disney magically become real in front of us!!!:rotfl: For the record it did not. here anyway :confused3

Steven is on his computer, Sarah is watching Victorious, Andrew is out with his friends, David is reading, and the dinner dishes are done, so guess it is a perfect time to catch up :goodvibes

KOOK - oh my, that looks DELICIOUS ::yes:: I am :rotfl: with the 800# incident! Congrats on your RC, I know you will be happy to go "home"!

Marie - Happy Birthday to Josh :bday: I really think that BWI deluxe is calling your name over AKL popcorn::

Shelia - Congrats on the airfare credit  And I am sorry that Bob is giving your such a hard time, I hope he finally gets to the doctor and gets what ever is going on under control.

Ginny - have fun at the wedding :)

Jen - yep the fighting is horrible, she just loves to torment the boys :sad2: Ugh, I dont even want to think of tires, I have bigger tires on this truck than my last one and I can't even imagine what they are going to cost me :crazy2:

Wookie - I think keeping GFC is a good plan :thumbsup2 Oh and the rash.....when ever I am stressed my chest gets all red and blotchy, so there is definitely a physical response. Woohoo on class almost being over!!!

Koh - too cute about DD :flower3:

Willow - Sorry about your shoulder, hope it is feeling better  It is Christine (Minnie&Nana) with the Bruins logo :goodvibes We have enjoyed Cape May, have been twice for dinner. Food was good but like Miss said it is really loud. DH and DS both have an issue with the noise and I have said we will not return because my meal always get ruined by them :headache:

SueM - I PM'd you back :goodvibes Hope the stitches came out nice and easy and everything looks good.

Miss - I think I missed what you decided, but I would switch out AP as well. I think it is easier to be in the Epcot resort area.

Jeanette - dont worry about the GPA, you are doing an amazing job! Hope all is well in your world

Heather - love the family pis  We have been to Mexico twice (not including cruises) and the first was a nightmare, the second was ok, but DH has no desire to go back. He says the next AI will be in T&C.

Lacey - HELLO :goodvibes

Shannon006 - Welcome! We stayed at CSR once and it just wasn't for us, we had issues with the Pepper Market and very rude CM's throughout, but this was YEARS ago.

Hello to everyone I am missing!!!

I think that catches me up a bit. Sarah and I got so much done today, and I benefited from most of it  Hair cut and colored, bunch of clothes from Old Navy, just for me, new flip flops for both of us, and of course a stop at the liquor store :lmao: Also did a big grocery shop, that part wasn't so fun.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Oh my. That's a plate full of yummy. (Admittedly, being a Marylander therefore a blasphemous infidel and imagining that were a pile of blue crabs and/or oysters instead of lobstah, my eye was immediately drawn to the beer. :rotfl: Also, I love translating for our fantabulous New Englanders. :grouphug: )

It didn't magically appear here, either, Willows. We can hope, though.:rotfl2:

Now I really need to get back to packing.

Forgot to ask... anyone want to share their opinions of Hollywood Brown Derby?

We had an -- let us just say "unfortunate" non-food or service related -- occurrence at 50's which means we probably won't be returning for a long, looooooong time. :lmao: :crazy2:

You can't leave us hanging like that my dear!!popcorn::

Wookie: 2075....you kill me!!:rotfl: And we have a Grand Caravan SE, tires set me back $650.00 :faint:and yes they are big suckers too! I am hoping that was a good deal, we shopped around a bit.

I hope that's for all 4 tires.

For real. I adore risotto just don't ever have the patience to make it myself.

When I make it, the DH makes me double the recipe. The normal recipe for Le Cellier's mushrooms risotto calls for 7 cups of beef broth, double that, and I have to slowly incorporate 14 cups of the stuff.

I'll be away for a few days, we're off to a wedding. Should be fun! I'll check in when we get back, and try to get updated on the most recent resort changes!

Travel safely and have a fun time.

What is the drinking age in Canada?

I told my DH the other night I think someone is trying to give me the hint to go to Canada on a vacation. I recently started watching two new shows (Continuum, and Primeval: New World) both take place in Canada (Vancouver actually). The scenery in them is just beautiful, especially when they are outside of the city.

I just need to get caught up before it's over. I could probably do that tonight, but I have a sick Monkey. I'm off to snuggle up JM and watch a movie.
