I said something....this is what I posted.

I have to step in here and say something.....

Everyone has a right to their opinion, however to judge someone as a ineffective parent is wrong. As a mother with special needs children I try my damn hardest to make sure they are behaving or entertained. I have left restaurants and stores, but to think that someone is looking at me and judging me is disgusting. You honestly never know what disabilities a child may have and maybe compassion instead of judgement would be more humane.

Happy Thursday All!

Finally got around to calling and applying my GC's to our ressie so we are officially PIF!

Tomorrow I get to chaperone DS8's field trip to the History Museum and I am sooooo excited! :cool1: I haven't gone on a field trip since DD was born so I am due!

pas - Love the new split!

wookie - OMG! You so deserve something for the snake thing! I had to just skim the rest of your post because I got all :scared1:

dani - Yay for PIF! One step closer to Hawaii! :cloud9:

Melissa - Enjoy your snuggles! What a nice idea to get Steven after testing. I'm feeling like a turd today because DS7 was feeling icky and I all but forced him onto the bus. It is only allergy related so nothing major, but still... I regret not just keeping him home now.

magic - Sorry about your mom and canceling your trip. I hope that you guys can get something planned for the fall

koh - I'm confused about your split idea. Wouldn't it work better to do the DDP and buy tickets for the whole trip for first WDW part and then just go CL and OOP for the rest so you don't have to buy extra tickets you don't need? Maybe I'm just confused.

janet - :wave2: I'm now hungry for some southern bbq! Yum!

jenny - Happy Birthday to your DD! party: What a scary birth story. Glad everything was ok! Regarding the dining thread, I can't believe some people are so judgmental. My kids are usually well behaved, even moreso if another table is acting up and they are all :confused3 :lmao:. But still, I don't believe for a second that everybody hasn't had their fair share of "those" moments. A little empathy goes a looooong way. ::yes::

Grumpy Grandma - Yay for almost ADR Day!

piglet's mommy - Another snake story! :scared1: Moving right along....

Miss - I literally laughed out loud about the Hamm/Stitch underwear wrestling. Your DD is so awesome! :thumbsup2 Sorry about the flooding, but at least it scored you some good mommy/DD bonding time :goodvibes

Well, better get going. Between the field trip tomorrow and soccer Saturday it's my last good packing day, and I still need to finish laundry in order to do so! :laundy:

Iheart: I will do the PIF dance for you!:dancer::dancer::dancer: Hooray! Hope you enjoy the field trip! And you too have started soccer already? We don't start here until May 22!:confused3 It must be a tad warmer where you are!

Magic: I am so sorry. What about Janet's suggestion... maybe a little later in the year when the weather cools off?

Jen: Happy Birthday to her! :dance3: Please give her a big hug from us, especially from Miss M!

:grouphug: to all of you. Safe Travels to Candace and co.!
I_Heart: When do you leave?! :woohoo:

~~------------------------------~~

We're at home today. Schools were closed due to flooding. I just finished watching Hamm (Toy Story) and Stitch -- who were dressed up in Miss M's underwear -- have 10 or so sumo wrestling matches inside a hula hoop on our living room floor. :rotfl:

Our street is flooded and closed off starting a block from our house... and the flash flood warning is in effect until 8pm this evening. Only damage so far is a wet floor in the dining room where the water has blown in through the storm windows. Stupid gutters right above these windows got clogged yesterday afternoon from our silly tree pods. :sad2: (Reminds me I need to get that useless sucker chopped down this fall. )

Days like these, I wish I owned a kayak. We've got our very own Lake Michigan down the road. :rotfl:

Ugh, sorry about the water in the house. Hopefully it doesn't get worse. Miss M cracks me up with her creativity! I hope you took pictures!!!! LOL!!! Try to stay dry and safe!

The thing is, many of them have NEVER been in your shoes, so take their comments with a grain of salt. It seems that a lack of response to the mean people irritates them more. They are the ones who sound wacky.

We started 3 weeks ago and it has been in the 20s or 30s every week so far. This week we have been in the 70s and of course Saturday it's going back to the 30s. Stinks!!!!! Wish we started later!

OH YUMMY .... I can hardly wait!!!

Do it! :rotfl2:

Ok, I really gotta go now. Wah. Don't wanna!

Jen- just because the sports have started doesn't mean it's warm! Layer up! The hs spring sports start even earlier. I keep a medium size LLbean bag in the car...it has a blanket, ball cap, gloves, coat, scarf. I don't care if its 75...that bag goes to the courts with me :)

I_heart - do t beat yourself up about DS, we try our best to know when they really need to be home, but sometimes we don't get it right ;) Have fun on the field trip tomorrow!!!!!

Glad you are safe from the explosion, but if my DH had done that to me, I would have killed him with my bare hands (after I ran away and burned down the house) I HATE snakes. I used to not mind them until I was about 7 or 8 and was at my friend's house. Her mom was doing laundry, and we heard a scream. She opened the dryer and started putting clothes in, and there was a snake in there!:scared1:

Well I have to keep him alive, he's the only one working and I need him to pay for our WDW trip. Plus he's the only one that knows where the money is to get us there and home. :lmao:

The DH went out to work on a dryer not too long ago. The complaint was that it wasn't drying. He found a very ticked off rattlesnake stuck in the dryer. Luckily, it was too stuck to be able to get lose and bite him, or when he took the front off, it would have bitten him. When he told the owner, they didn't believe him. He had to show her the snake, and then she asked him to remove it. He told her his job was only to work on the appliance, not snake removal. He told her to call animal control and he would be back out once the snake was gone.

:scared1: That reminds me of the time we took DS down to Florida to meet my Grandma when he was 4 months old. We stopped at a nature preserve and decided to take him for a walk in his stroller since it was Feb. and the weather was great for us. We get the stroller all set up, I snap his carseat in and we start walking. After we had been walking for about 15 min, DH steers me over to the side of the trail, and I can't figure out why. Then I saw the snake he was steering me away from. I grabbed the stroller from him, turned around, and took off like a bat out of hell back towards the car. He said that was the fastest he had ever seen me run. Of course I then got back to the car about 5 min before him, and didn't have the keys.:lmao:

I would have been running too.

Stay safe and as dry as you can.

I need to get over to that thread and read it. Hopefully, I can get to class early enough that I can.

Your right, unless people have had themselves or relative with a special needs child they just have no idea.

Have fun!! I always loved chaperoning the DSs field trips.

I think so too. I had a hard time sleeping last night. Logically, I know they took it back outside, but I kept thinking it was crawling up and into the bed.

Well duh silly, they expect you to duct tape their mouths shut and bunji cord them to your luggage in the cargo hold. :lmao:

DH must be feeling bad about last night. He found out I ran out of Dr Pepper and he brought me two as he was on his way to his next call. When he gave them to me, we talked for a minute about ADRs. He said that there were several we went to last time, that we weren't going to this time, and he wanted to go to them again. I asked him which ones. I nix'd Le Cellier because 1. it's 2 credits and unless we have the DlxDDP, we can't use 2 TS credits on one meal and 2. we are not doing park hoppers this trip, so we can't go to Epcot after being at the AK. Then he said, "well ya know, the one with the lettuce cups". I was like "Yak & Yeti?" He said, "yeah, we just can't eat on the 2nd floor". We ate on the 2nd floor last time right by the railing. The DSs were so freaked out neither of them ate much and the oldest literally had to go to the bathroom (not to go into TMI territory). As of right now, our ADRs for 9/12 are an 11 AM Yak & Yeti and an 8 PM Cape May Cafe. He wants to talk about it tonight as to whether we are going to cancel dinner or may OOP for it.
