Did I mention I got my last AP voucher yesterday? It's a bit of a scary prospect really. I'll get over it, I'm sure. Miss M's coming down with something (again) so back to the nebulizer and off to stock up on cold meds. Poor kid. If only our weather would stop changing, I swear that -- and being in the petri-dish known as elementary school -- has something to do with it.

Did I mention I got my last AP voucher yesterday? It's a bit of a scary prospect really. I'll get over it, I'm sure. Miss M's coming down with something (again) so back to the nebulizer and off to stock up on cold meds. Poor kid. If only our weather would stop changing, I swear that -- and being in the petri-dish known as elementary school -- has something to do with it.

I hate to say this out loud (or write is rather), but things are really quiet. I only have the 2 infants and 4 older kids. One infant is sleeping, and the other is drinking a bottle in a bouncy. The big kids are all eating lunch and then it's nap time.

I am starting to stress over my Poly trip in November. Tikiman is saying SOA may end Oct 1 due to the start of DVC construction. That could mean my dream of staying in the Fiji Longhouse on the Luau Cove side might be a nightmare ? Was still debating about booking SOA on our cabana day instead of going to a park, thus having an all Poly Day but now if the show is stopping? Ugh .......... So was up shortly after 3 am and checked my flights again and much to my surprise my return flight dropped again. I guess I should have waited to buy, so I banked another $32 in credits $16 ea tix, now I have $82 towards my next trip

You are banking the buckaroos! That can only mean one thing... even more WDW is in your future. ......... We did the same plan last year: pool and cabana day followed by SOA at night. It was such fun a relaxing day. I am such a WDW purist and I will catch hell for saying this but I just don't like SOA. So what is the deal with the new Villas vs SOA? Is SOA closing for good, moving, or refurbing? I haven't been to Tikiman in a while.

Love to all my RC Peeps! It's been a stressful few days at work due to layoffs - no one saw it coming. I was not effected but my 4 friends in the legal dept. were so sad ...changes are still coming in the Company. We've been told they are re-doing the admin role. due to the layoffs I will be picking up 2 more attorneys. How nice the company laid off mostly support personnel. How bout the high dollar executives? perhaps cutting their bonuses would of made it unnecessary to layoff so many.

Oh man, oh man!! That is a sad state of affairs. I hope you get a good final outcome when the dust settles.

So, after relaxing at my parents and the beach last weekend I was thinking maybe I didn't want to do a week of Disney next year, watching the kids swim is so much more relaxing than park hoping all day. So I mentioned this to DH, thinking he would jump all over the saving money part and the fact that he really does not love Disney. But he looked at me like I had three heads....so I replied that I know it is for the kids and we do always have a good time. He replied with a quick yep and that ended the conversation.

I just pulled all my resies and notes from last summer when we started our booking frenzy, not a single resie stayed as it was booked Resorts changed, dates changed, trips added, etc. I will be shocked it BLT stands as it was originally booked I cannot wait until Aug when I can book ADR's, I hate having a trip that I cant really plan yet

I completely understand, Melissa. When I canceled WDW due to DH not being able to take two weeks off at once, I proposed two one week vacations that we could drive to in a day and both DH and DD were surprised. While we do go places other than WDW, DH and DD don't believe I can go very long without a WDW vacation thrown into the mix. Even though DD usually seems to take for granted our frequent WDW trips, now that I've canceled, she's disappointed and wants to go. Kids

None of my reservations stay the same either (thank goodness for this thread), so I understand how you don't think you'll keep BLT. I think your trip seems far off now so when August comes and you can book ADRs, you'll be back in planning mode and feeling it again for BLT

WDWKOOK - Thanks. The BLT and BC in 2010 were a split stay. That trip was heavenly.
WL club in Oct. that same year was REALLY nice. We were so impressed in their food offerings (BLT and WL CL must've been an awesome split!)
And, yes, I did treat myself to AKL CL in 2011 when I ran the Princess half marathon. That was a solo trip and I loved AKL! Big time! Unfortunately, for my June dates it's something like $459 + tax per night, so I'm thinking more like pool view, which I've heard can be lovely.

This is my problem - I want to stay at all the Deluxe resorts, over and over again. You guys obviously understand.

Love to all my RC Peeps! It's been a stressful few days at work due to layoffs - no one saw it coming. I was not effected but my 4 friends in the legal dept. were so sad ...changes are still coming in the Company. We've been told they are re-doing the admin role. due to the layoffs I will be picking up 2 more attorneys. How nice the company laid off mostly support personnel. How bout the high dollar executives? perhaps cutting their bonuses would of made it unnecessary to layoff so many.

KOOK - I am still thinking BLT is best, know we love CR so it's a good fit. I was looking at the thread with all views trying to decide of I want north or south. At first the kids were saying north side so they could see MK and fireworks but after showing them the south side views with Epcot and AK in the distance they decided they like that. We go through the same issue when staying at CR. I keep thinking maybe we should just stay at CR to save money, but I think I would likely need to be institutionalized after sharing one room with my kiddos Do you have your summer trips booked? I am sure DD will have a great time and will just appreciate WDW that much more when you finally get back there.

Janet So sorry to hear about the layoffs, glad you were not one of the unfortunate employees , as always the "p-ons" are the ones to go

I think Bob will be more carefull now he did get quite the scare but still won't keep a journal of his meds/diet so he has a record as I suggested. It is what I do then I can tell if something triggers a certain reaction not to mention just keeping track of all the meds is a chore in itself.

MAGIC seems like mostly speculation last I read about DVC going in. Decided again against booking SOA if it is still there in Nov. They were still taking ADRs last time I looked. I just don't want to have my first and possibly last Poly stay to be amist construction everywhere.

We don't want you in the rubber room at CR, stick with BLT. Is DS sensitive to the loud noises of fireworks? If he might be, the outer room on the south side might be better - that's the Lake View we had. He could also watch the monorail a bit from there, off to his right and we could even watch DD on the Sky Bridge when she got refills at CC. I think you meant that you could see WL, which was hard for me, but since we were splitting, I survived.

I'm at a booking impasse. Unlike WDW, I'll lose some money if I book and change or cancel. Why this didn't bother me in the past, IDK. I actually have nothing at all booked, which might be a first. But it's actually a relief not to have to worry about changes and cancelations. I miss the flexibility of the WDTC and DD isn't as excited about those "other" vacations, so I'm stuck - for the moment. Thanks for asking

We made a change today. After a lot of back and forth, dh finally got the furlough notice. I have my trip fund, but we agreed to make a change at the beginning, will save us some $$$. Contemporary will have to wait, but I know it will be there down the road. Thought about WL, but he loves AKL, so we're two nights there and then over to YC. I was able to book Saana, the Jiko wine tasting and then a dinner at Boma. Very happy it all worked out.

I thought about you recently when I heard that notices might finally be going out today. I'm sorry DH was affected. How many days and can he choose the days?

Hi everyone! It's been a rough day, but we are making the best of it. Right now I am on my second monorail loop. Hoping to get into 'Ohana soon. I have been posting photos on Facebook, but I know not everyone has it. If any of my fb friends want to post them feel free to share with our rc family! I will try to get some done tonight

I've never stayed at the GF either but one of my favorite DVC perks is being able to legally pool hop!

Has anyone done the Family Magic Tour or whatever it's called at the MK? Thinking about whether or not to add it to our plans...

We've done it several times when the grandkids were young .... maybe 5 years old. It was a fun silly thing to do .... picture this granny crawling thru an eating establishment .... favorite grandkid memory!

Hello. Was directed to this thread by WDWKOOK and pas130, from pas130's PTR. She made me LOL with her changes in resorts! I had to show my daughter, so that she would believe there are other people like me out there

We leave in a few weeks for 6 glorious nights at WDW. I have BC GV booked but reading everyone's plans kind of makes me want to do a split stay I could do 3 and 3. Maybe add AKL or Poly?

Welcome nice to see you hear. Since I'm somewhat know as the Queen of the Split Stay .... I love them!!!
