Our little thread of BIG changes, the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

The "broken" reservation is dead!!!!!! It has been cancelled!!!

Snagged a killer deal at Beach Club - you know, amazing deal...;)

So, there it is!!!

Saving sooooooooo much money, and we already know we love BC/YC so no worries there.....and as soon as I get my money back from Disney....our reservation will be PIF!!!!!! :dance3:

Sounds fabulous!! PIF guy was so happy for you, he wanted to start dancing early! :dancer:

Nope...but I think DD9 has it figured out. Mommy took screenshots of our FP+ on my iphone and she saw them. D-OH!!!:headache:

Mommy is not the sharpest pencil sometimes.

Kids don't miss much, do they? :rotfl: Are you going to surprise them? Next week will be very happy for three princesses! princess:princess:princess: :goodvibes

Happy Friday my friends!!!! :grouphug: Totally exhausted, school work parent teacher conferences..the fun never ends!

I think I'm cured of my RC bug....maybe temporary.. could it be??? Hope everyone has a great weekend, miss Jen wanted to wish you safe travels

TGIF!
 Wookie, Love all your ideas and sure you will pull off Cinderella that even the Fairy Godmother would approve. Is there any way you style your hair? A wig will be so hot.

I could easily do the Cinderella bun. My hair goes down to my bottom, and I wear my hair in a bun up like Cinderella everyday I work because the little kids tend to pull it if it's down. I just thought since I'm not a blonde it wouldn't look right. Then I'm going to get ribbon, to match the dress I am buying to wrap around a headband and then add crystals to it.

ETA...
At different times this week, the boys asked me where we were going this Summer on vacation. When I told them we were going to Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Canyon National Park, they said basically the same thing. "Can't we go some where fun, like Disney World."

Happy Friday everybody!
It's currently (real temp) -11 degrees. Come on spring! In the meantime, I'm going to focus on this: :beach::beach:

Needed that little ray of sunshine today - even if it is emoticon form. So cold and we're going skiing next week... trying to focus on hot tub!

HAHA...problem is I have never been very good at doling at peer pressure! Did I do good?? :yay:

You definitely pass -- look at what you ended up pushing MM to do!!!

Jenny your DD is a hoot! Can't wait to see how they react when they find out!!! :yay:

So I think I've ruled out AoA...but the ASSp surfing section and ASMo Dalmations section look super cute. (As long as DD isn't scared of the huge figures/objects).

Not to add to your mix but my friend just posted her Disney pics and AoA Cars section is so flippin' cute!!! Looks just like Cozy Cone!!!

:flower3: for pas and anyone else who needs it.

I do have to admit, though, I'd love a summer trip through Yellowstone/Tetons!!! If they would only put a Disney resort there, it would be PERFECT!!!

ADR review for Sept:

Sat - arrive, T-Rex dinner
Sun - H&V lunch, GG dinner
Mon - CP dinner
Tues - Kona breakfast, MNSSHP
Wed - Sanaa lunch, possibly Whispering Canyon dinner (pool day)
Thur - BoG lunch, Marrakesh dinner
Fri - Akerhaus pre-park, possibly 50's PT dinner
Sat - possible WC breakfast (depends on flight)

We like to park hop AM/PM (forces us to take a break and if LOs are grumpy we can crash a bit - also why I like to leave lunch free if possible). I had Tusker House and PF in there but DH was afraid of 'Plushie overdose" so I cut down. Figure we can do those in December.

Really back and forth about which moderate to do for December... CSR fits the style of the group well but size makes me nervous. Would prefer POR size with CSR rooms. Interested to see how the CBR refurb looks, too.

Friend posted her Dis pics and OMG, the ones of her DDs riding carpets with Aladdin and Jasmine are just THE BEST. Truly the magic of Disney!!! Stories like that are what keep the magic alive in me!!! pixiedust:

Dimndgal - my BIL and his family are staying in a LK suite at AoA next month...but the suites are as much as our GF deal, so...that's out...although I LOVE the Nemo suites! :-)

 At the urging of DH, we cancelled all our ADRs. And I only have a Princess breakfast now. We need to be as flexible as possible. This may be an interesting trip with our little man:duck: Apologies in advance to anyone staying at YC/BC :worried: :grouphug:

So DD likes pics of the puppies (Dalmations section at ASMo)...but she also said she liked the pics of POR and ASSp...lol. She's really no help. :-)

Sports had a refurb last year (or the year before....) point is the new rooms are fresh and cute :)

Hello RCers! Stopping by for an update - I've seen pas and mousemommy in a couple different places, and checking on status! Is it GF for pas and BC for mousemommy?

Our princess half marathon weekend was GREAT! We only changed once since booking last July - from Poly to BWI CL. We stuck with BWI CL and were thrilled - they upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite, which was perfect for half marathon weekend. Due to weather conditions at home, Southwest offered to put us on a flight a day early free of charge. So I had 4 hours to pull the kids out of school, make resort reservations for that night, change magical express and book ADRs for the extra day! We ended up at POR-Riverside for the night before our transfer to BWI. In the end, it's not our favorite mod, but I'm really glad we were able to try it!

I had already changed from POR-Royal Room to Poly for later this month and we're holding onto that. Checking daily to see if I can get CL with the AP rate, but no luck so far. Has anyone had luck with that? Or do you think when they are sold out on AP rate, they are just sold out. Does it do any good to keep checking?

As for next January - marathon weekend - I'm thinking AOA for our late arrival night, then GF sugarloaf (our youngest is celebrating his bday and defected from Poly!) then BWI CL. But that could change . . .

Pixarmom - what didn't you like about POR? We've done Poly twice and BC once, but thinking of downgrading to a mod or value this trip to save money...POR is on the list of possibilities...

:wave2: In my experience something usually opens up, even in the last week or so. And they will usually waive the change fee if you are upgrading! Congrats on the upgrade pixiedust: So nice! We are at YC for August :beach: no CL. So happy to see you, and even happier you had a nice trip!

Hi Koh1977! OK, I really like to stay positive but I also want to be helpful. In recent years, we've only stayed mod for 1-3 nights before transferring to a deluxe. Based on these experiences, we've concluded that we'll stick with deluxe.

So the positives first: For purposes of a late-night arrival, POR was a good fit. The theme is very well done. Everything was clean and we loved the new triple sheeting with runner. Made the room look and feel so clean! Loved the curtain separating the bathroom area - that really came in handy! We were in a preferred room, so our walk to the lobby/food court was quick!

The not-so-good: We're just not fans of the theme, particularly in alligator bayou. I did miss interior corridors and really missed the balcony (especially in the morning!) I'm not a fan of food courts and the CM at the POR food court was really rude to us. Air conditioning in the room was louder than I'd like. But I think in the end, it just comes down to the theme not being our style. Again, however, it was really well done!

If we did another late-night arrival, I'd probably lean towards POFQ for its small size and quaint theme. But for a whole trip, we'd shorten our stay, go in value season, etc. to book deluxe. Again, that's just because the resort part is such an important part of our stay - we're at the park in the morning and then resort in the afternoon. And that balcony is important to my sanity!

:wave2: In my experience something usually opens up, even in the last week or so. And they will usually waive the change fee if you are upgrading! Congrats on the upgrade pixiedust: So nice! We are at YC for August :beach: no CL. So happy to see you, and even happier you had a nice trip!

Thank you so much!!! YC in August will be fabulous! Really love SAB in the summer! (Love SAB anytime, but really use it the most in the summer.) Thanks for the booking tips - I'll keep stalking the site! A theme park view CL room just opened up, but I'm just not up for the $$ amount on that one. I'll hold tight for a garden view CL room and see what happens. If we get one, I'd probably cancel CP and Kona breakfasts and the CL upgrade would "pay for itself!" What happened to your ADRs? Does your husband prefer to play it by ear?
