Yes, I can wait.

I certainly don't want to cancel GF until I know for certain I want to change. On one hand, the great rate at GF was how I talked DH into doing Disney this summer. On the other hand, it would be more budget friendly if we switched. The GF doesn't include dining, so that's all OOP, which is ok, but yeah...factoring in the extra cash for food, it'd save us at least almost $400. Closer to $600 with a 25% room discount like they have for the first half of summer.
OR, only save $200 and get an extra night and a day (so we can hit AK which we were going to skip)...hmmm...

I kind of like the idea of saving money and getting an extra day at Disney... but that's just me. I guess it comes down to an extra day = more time to enjoy = more relaxed pace.

DH didn't get why I had a resort day on our last trip until we did it... was such a great time that he loves having a day and a half of 'nothing' on our next trip so we can decide to do a WP or just be lazy at the resort. Being able to do AK when you might not otherwise sounds fun, not to mention giving you a chill evening to do whatever!
But, I agree holding onto the rezzie until you're sure!
Hey all!!! For some reason I couldn't log on from work.
As for GF vs. AKL, I'm over it. I'm always excited about saving money, but when it comes to Disney trips, I never go with the cheapest option.
We are sticking with GF, and we will just have to buy the 10 day hoppers and upgrade them when we get there instead of buying the AP's right now.
Honestly, AKL seemed like a 'wow, we'd save so much' vs. a 'man, I really would prefer that' situation for you so I can understand your choice!!! We'll see what the next whim bring!
Dmndgal I just have to tell you every time I look at your picture under your dis name I just smile.

she is soooo adorable.
I agree!!!

awwww, thank you so much!!!

It's from our DL trip when older DD was 3. She loved the outdoor teacups and would just throw her head back and lauuuuugh! That photo (and the experience) is one reason DH started to 'get' why I was so into Disney.
Glad it can make others smile! (it's my fave pic of my precocious one!)
So very true
We are making very loose plans. What park we're going to on what day, and one ADR per day. Our other meal (which will be a CS), and what ride we ride when will all be by ear. We have our list of "must do's" and that will be our main focus.
*nods* this is my biggest worry about FP+... I like to have one ADR and matching park planned a day; that way my other half of the day is loose and easy. I'm still not sold on the idea of picking my rides 2 months out...
As much as I would love to go to one, I'm not sure I could handle it. I'm not big on crowds. Heck being in a Wal Mart on Black Friday is crowd enough for me to have a mild panic attack. It might be better for me to visit Tokyo without the addition of Olympic crowds.
I KNOW!!! Advance trip to Tokyo (to get your bearings), and of course DL... then follow-up trip for some Curling action!
I think I'm done pricing for a little while. The DH is really working my nerves about it. If I don't do something he wants me to, or if he wants to get me to do something he'll say something like "oh really, and I thought someone wanted to upgrade their Disney resort." Like tonight he wanted me to make cookies. When I said no he said "Oh really, you won't make cookies? And I thought you wanted to upgrade your Disney resort." It's kind of taking the joy out of pricing different resort/room category combos for the trip.
I hate when they try to pull stuff like that! Luckily, I got my ace in the hole when DH went hunting with his dad this fall; it had been 10 years and this was the first time he was 'free'... but he felt guilty about leaving me with our littlest one. So, I asked his mom to come out (since we would be elk widows) and he got to hunt. He never asked why I was so understanding... until he got home and he saw me perusing the resort pages.
Thank you, I hope we don't. The DH really wants to go, so even if the inlaws don't go, we'll go.
The migraine is better today. It's not totally gone, but better. It maybe that it is gone, and my head is just sore from being in pain for so long, if that makes sense.

I hope your week picks up and your migraines stay away!!!
With Disney trips, as long as it's in your budget, the cheapest options isn't always the best. In the end, you have to be where you think you'll be the most happy on that vacation.
THIS! Very much THIS! I feel like I should print this out to keep reminding myself!!! Sometimes the price difference in the resort makes up for itself in spades in other ways! DH was leery about spending more on YC until we did it - SAB, location, and overall luxury of the resort were worth it to him. Still can't convince him that CR is worth it on this trip (and not 100% sure I'm on board) but at least he never batted an eye when I went straight to deluxe!

Just got back from Wal*Mart where things are getting CRAZYYYY!!! They are calling for some monster snow this week which means we'll be buried or get rain (the joy of Maryland!). I had done my big shop over the weekend but
Amazon sent me an email Sunday saying my formula was out of stock so back out I had to go.
SOOO over winter and ready for some warmer weather! My girls keep exchanging this almost cold and I think it's just from close quarters but it would be great to go out and get sun without risking frostbite!
On another note: WHERE IS SEPTEMBER????? I need the calendar so I can plan my ADRs and
MNSSHP!

and

for all!
