Our least expensive Disney trip EVER!

Airfare $100 US [had a SWA credit, so only paid $25 US each for round trip]

Car $155 US Alamo for the week

POP Century $720 US for 7 nights in July using a code

$0 for tickets as I bought 10 day hopper pluses that don't expire way back

Food budget about $400 US, we have groceries & restaurants down pat

TOTAL for 4 people in July $1375 for 7 nights/8 days

That's only $49 per person per day. I can't do that at home on vacation.

WTG! Good bargains there! I just worked out about $100/person/day with no rental car, and thought I was doing well! It's so much sweeter when you get a deal! (Or is that just me?? )

I check Alamo rates often and book online when a good rate comes up. If a better rate pops up, I re-book. $155US is for one week. Our credit card and car insurance are covered. We have booked with lots of rental companies and found Alamo the best priced.

As for food. We are big on going grocery shopping and eating one meal out. We've done all the Disney restaurants and character meals, so we like trying off-site places for meals. We go to late lunches for better prices than dinner, yet same portions. Eat breakky in room and dinner is usually just a snack of crackers, cheese, sandwiches, fruits, veggies & dip, etc.,. Our resort mug isn't included in the $400 budget, we are taking our March Break POP Century mugs back for July trip.

In March, we spent 10 days in Florida. Groceries were just over $100 for all 10 days. Meals were at McDonald's, Sizzler, Shoney's, Cici's Pizza Buffet [kinda yucky].

Good going Sandra.....we had an awesome trip last July. 4 people, 15 nights $4400 total CAD. That included every penny I spent.

You go on the mugs Sandra. I totally agree, it's the mugs from the same year, it's not like you have been using the same mugs for years ----which I know people who have mugs so old the colurs are coming off and they use them and NO ONE says anything to them.
Last year we went 3 times and there was no way I was purchasing mugs for the 4 of us 3 times!! Especially since we use them only for hot chocolate mostly.

You should add the Walmart code from Mousesavers.com to save an additional $15.00 to bring your rental to $140.00. The Walmart code also includes a free additional driver.
