~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

my memory is another one of erin. she had never ridden before and tara and i were old pros. she knew there was a big drop involved and every time we'd go up a little one, we'd say, "okay, this is the big one!" and then when we were going up for the big drop she asked if this was it and we said, "oh, no, this is a tiny one." SO MEAN!!!! but she would've done the same thing to me.

oh, and i have to share this one too. this is from our may trip last year during the P&PP. this was luke's first time riding splash. it's one of my favorite pictures from last year because we had a boat all to ourselves. look at anna's face - it's like she's absolutely DIEING!!!! and luke looks so cute - kinda scared but still having fun at the same time.

I did!!! They look awesome. I have a pair of MBTs and these are supposed to be really similar to those. I love my MBTs... SOOOOOOOO I went shopping around and found the VS on shoebuy. There was a 20% off sale yesterday because of the time change, plus my 10% member discount and I got them for the clearance price at many other online stores! PLUS, if they don't work out, I can return them with free shipping! I am SUCH an online shopper. I got the same style as you, but in the natural color...

I just love this ride. I have two memories...One is getting stuck OF COURSE. And it was HORRIBLE! We got stuck in the room with the frogs and the buzzing bees overhead! That song...it just is TOO much to listen to for however long we were stuck! It may have only be 10 minutes but it FELT like HOURS!!! Oof.

My other is taking DS on it for the first time. I posted this in my PTR, but I think the pic says it all. I love sharing the things I enjoy with DS. And when he likes them too, it's just so fun. And you get so many of those experiences crammed into such a short time at Disney! We are the family in the back row. Check out the joy on DSs face!

I love splash mountain, when i went in 2005 (my first and sadly only trip so far) we rode this about 3 times in a row. We had waited until the end of the day to go on as my friends wasn't to sure she wanted to go as she wasn't keen on getting wet. The first time we went on, we came off almost as dry as when we got on so thinking oh it isn't that bad decieded as there was no que we'd go back on *BIG MISTAKE* this time we some how came of soaked. It was dark when we rode it and i just remember how pretty everything looked in the park. Then off we went soaking wet to watch the fireworks
Ohh I miss Disney so much and really hope to go back soon.

Ugh, that part is the worst place to get stuck! Well..we got stuck right before you go up the big incline..under the two vultures that say things like "Laughing place? We'll show you laughing place"..

I only went on Splash once and I just remember it being so totally different than what I expected. I was thinking it was a little dinky flume ride but really the detail and the little visit through the inside is adorable and definitely a big part of the Disney magic!

Oh...just to warn you..if you go on it in April, be prepared to get soaked...BEFORE the big drop!

Space Mountain

This will also be closed when I go.. soo sad.. my DH still complains about it every time we talk about disney world. Luckily, my bro is going to Florida in March- before it closes.. and he will get to ride it. Which makes me happy because he hasn't been back to disney world since he was in like kindergarten.. and he was to short to ride it then... so he is really excited.
My fav. memory of this is when my mom, dad and I rode it for the first time.. it instantly became my fav. ride there.. and we got right back in line and rode it again. I remember what I liked most about it was that it was in the dark.. so you couldn't tell what was coming, going, or if there was a drop or anything.. so it wasn't scary at all.

Thats funny.. I never would of thought it would still be there. This is my DH's fav. ride.. we've never rode it with Jack Sparrow and he LOVES the movies.. so it will be great.

Peter Pan
I love this ride also. I don't have a memory of it.. just that I really really like it. It's one of my favorites.. because you truly feel like your in neverland.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid

This is a must do this trip.. idk how well DH will like it.. but Little Mermaid is my fav. princess movie.. soo he will have to deal. hehe

Mickey's PhillharMagic

I'm excited to see this.. because I never have.. like many of things.. but also I seen a picture and I realized its 3D.. and not only that but it has all the characters in it.. and it showed the carpet ride part.. I was OMG I have to do this! hehe


Winnie the Pooh

Although, DH and I didn't care for this ride.. but I'm willing to give it another try.. I did like the bouncy part.. it was cute.

B/F is mad Space will be closed too since he missed out on coming with us in '08! The dark is what makes it fun! I love screaming my head off.

--This one was my favorite when I was a little girl, I don't know why, but it was. My brother was terrified of it, so we only got to go on it once during that trip. Actually, come to think of it, he still isn't a fan (at age 19).

Splash Mountain
--Now it's my turn for one that is not really a favorite of mine. I don't really like to get wet, unless I am swimming, or in a swimsuit. I just have a weird thing about walking around in wet clothes, or wet shoes and socks, for that matter. We rode it when we were there this past December, because it is one of my Dad's favorites, but neither my Mom or I generally choose to ride it. Usually, when we are there with the family, my brother and sister ride it with him. We didn't want him to have to miss out on one of his favorites (especially since I made him do Philharmagic 3 times!) so we rode it with him. I'd forgotten most of the story line, and it was pretty cute.

Snow White was your favorite..how cool! I haven't heard that from many people.

Splash is a cute ride. I just miss the way it was before they made it so you get soaked before you even go down the big drop. It never fails, as we are going around the front and around the big drop, they have a canon that shoots out water and our boat always gets it.

The People Mover (TTA)

We llllllllllllllllllllllllove this ride! I can't tell you how many times we ride it a trip. We have the whole spiel down and everything. This is also a ride where sis and I like to take random pictures. For example:

I confess. I've never ridden the PM at WDW. And it's been so long since I rode it at DL...The thing I remember the most about this ride is, well..., um..., in high school?..., when we would go on tour?..., this was the fav ride for the couples to ride?...And let's just say that I don't remember too much from the ride itself...
