~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

my favorite memory of voyage of the little mermaid is the first time we saw it. ray, being a new disney fan and all, had never really sat and watched the movie. he was a senior in high school when it came out and disney movies weren't exactly his priority in life then. so when eric comes out for the first time, ray goes, "who is that?" i said, "that's prince eric." he goes, "hmmmmm......well, prince eric's got a rockin mullet." :rotfl2:

I was 4 the first time I saw The Voyage of the Little Mermaid too. It is definitely a must for every trip, no matter how many times I've seen it! After I saw it for the first time, I was determined that I was going to be Ariel in the Little Mermaid show at WDW when I grew up. I think my father is getting tired of me dragging him on it, but he'll live. Actually, we had a great time waiting for the show when we were there in September. I don't know if I had just never bothered to look, or what, but the queue room that you wait in before you go into the theatre is very cute, with all the nautical theming. :)

I love the queue room! I read somewhere that there's a little box or something that says "Tinkerbell's dungeon" or something like that.

We yell "HOORAY!" too! I love that part as well as bouncing with Tigger. This one time during an evening EMH, the ride stopped right after we climbed into our hunny pot, and we were waiting to leave the platform. So we joke to the CM who's running the controls that he broke it and he'd better go fix it quick before the crowds get too vicious. (It was about 1 AM and the wait time was MAYBE 10 minutes.) :lmao: He was laughing and joking with us, and then some other CM comes out front from somewhere on the track, and we tell him that the platform CM broke it. By the time we got rolling again, we knew both their names and they knew ours. We let out a big cheer and a round of applause for our two new friends as we disappeared into the tunnel. Haha, it was fun, we enjoy interacting with the CMs a lot. :thumbsup2

Does anyone remember the Disney Channel movie "My Date With the President's Daughter" with Eric from Boy Meets World? I just realized that the girl who plays Alice in "Adventures in Wonderland" also plays the President's daughter in that movie!

I  this show. I remember the first time we did it, it was SWELTERING hot outside, and everyone was just happy to be inside an air-conditioned building. When the mist came down on the audience, it was like this huge bonus! :rotfl2: A bunch of people clapped and cheered, and this one guy yelled out, "AL-RIGHT!" It was funny, and boy did that water feel good. :cloud9:

Haha. That sounds like a fun night for Pooh!

I do remember My Date with the President's Daughter! Haha, yep the girl from the show is in it! And Eric from Boy Meets World...Now THAT'S a show I miss!

That water does feel nice!

LOL. Yes Prince Eric does have a nice hair piece...Oh gosh, now that's all I'm gonna think about when I see him this trip!

OMG the Winnie the Pooh theme song! That just brought back soooo many memories! I want my childhood back!!:rotfl:

Winnie the Pooh. Oh I love this ride. So does everyone in my family. Best memory to date was with my DS3 this past Nov. We were in the part with the woozles, and you know the mirrors? Well, when he saw himself he stuck his arm out and pointed and said "they have a picture of me in the ride momma!" I just could not believe it. :lmao: What kids say.

I love the bouncy tigger part ;)

Haha, he thought they took his picture?! That's so cute! During the bouncy Tigger part, we always move our arms and stuff like we're bouncing too.

Attraction of the Day...

Mickey's PhillharMagic

Oh I love this attraction! :lovestruc I love singing and dancing along to all the songs. It's so funny seeing the kids reach out to things like the jewelry and treasures during the Ariel scene. And during the "Be Our Guest" scene, I always jump when the blow the air at you several times. But my favorite part? Flying on the magic carpet with Aladdin and Jasmine and flying with Peter Pan and Tink!

Yay I've done this one! I don't have like a specific memory...I just remember loving it and practically crying while watching it! And this was before my Disney obsession actually began

Aw..that's so cute! :cutie:

Finally one I've done! I LOVE Mickey's Philharmagic! It always makes me cry, especially during the Aladdin, Little Mermaid and Lion King parts. It's the most magical thing in all of the Magic Kingdom to me  My mom always cries too!

Mickey's Philharmagic might just be my absolute favorite attraction at WDW. It has almost all of my favorite characters and really great music. Plus, I love it when they pipe in the apple pie smell. That just makes me happy. :)
We "rode" it three times when I was there in September. It was one of the first things we did, and then we did it first on the last day, and then it was the last thing we did before we left the park. Other than ride the monorail. I just think it is the best send off before you leave, with Mickey, and Donald, and Aladdin and Jasmine, and Ariel....

Mickey's Philharmagic...is the attraction I am MOST looking forward to seeing for the first time in MK!

So this June will be our first time with PhillharMagic. No one in the family have been to see this... We are looking forward to it, and judging from what everyone else says, it is not to be missed!:thumbsup2

I don't have any specific PhilharMagic memories but I just LOVE that attraction. The music always gets me dancing along in my seat! I get that "Disney" feeling in my stomach every time.:goodvibes
