Wow! I am so far behind reading but couldn't pass up not quoting Megan here! I hope she enjoyed her shirt. It is such an honor for you to share your trip with us and it looks like you had TONS of fun! Quite fitting that she wore it to DTD. That is probably my favorite place and I am happy to skip a park to hit it and just enjoy the atmosphere!

it was time to meet Shawna over at POTC....we rode on that and then headed over to BTMRR!!!

guess what happend......when we were going up the big hill both Shawna and I heard a funny click noise and a couple minutes later......we STOPPED!!! this was the first time Megan and I were on a ride when it broke down!!!

It looks as though Megan has the fine art of waving like a princess mastered. princess:

We know another family that was on BTMRR when it was shut down. They were also finally evacuated via the catwalk. In their case the cause of the shut down was teenagers (not theirs) who stood up while riding. Those kids were evicted from the park.

We've been on two rides that stopped for a while. The first was It's a Small World. While I enjoyed it, this was my DH's worse case scenario :rotfl: He posted his sad dilemma on facebook. We suspect that the cause of that delay was difficulty in assisting a disabled passenger on or off one of the boats. The other was in Spaceship Earth, which shut down briefly 2 or 3 times. That one seemed to be an electrical problem because only the exit lights remained lit; everything else went dark. Our only concern then was that it was nearing an ADR time for us, but we made it in time.

Glad to read that you had such a great last full day in MK.

Well she was born a "princess" in her daddy's eyes  Megan mastered the princess wave when she was little!!!
those kids weren't very smart on BTMRR :scared1: hope they didn't get hurt! we've had a couple of slow spots on IASW too, must be the loading of the disabled boat....don't think I'd like being on a dark ride stuck like that  happy you made your ADR!

will be posting our last day at WDW tomorrow....said its over :sad2:
but looking forward to our October Trip :woohoo:...might due a quick TR for that one after we get home!

Your last day??? Already?????
Gosh it went fast!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and SAFE 4th!!!!
You won't see this till tomorrow, but I hope you had a GREAT time!!!!

today is our last day at WDW.....we had such a wonderful trip, meeting up with new friends, embracing old memories, creating new memories and experiencing new adventures!

we were up early today....enjoyed my last cup of coffee on our balcony and finished packing....called for luggage and they were there in 5 minutes, did our check-out and check-in for the airport and headed off for our last day in the World!

we have always finished our trips with breakfast at Chef Mickey's, we got the bus to MK and walked over to the CR!

got checked in and waited a bit for our table....one we got seated and our food the fun started

when Goofy made it over to our table he was quite taken with our "GoofyMan's Girl" and "GoofyMan's Lady" t-shirts we had gotten made to have Jim be a part of our trip....Goofy thought they were meant for him!
so regret not having this photos of what happend next.....Goofy had given Megan her hugs and posed for her photo and then saw that I was wearing my shirt also, he got so excited, he grabbed my arm and linked it through his and started to parade me around our area of the restaurant, pointing to my shirt and then to himself....Donald came up to see what was going on and they started "fighting" over me, pulling me back and forth, so I had to reassure Donald that I liked him too! it was priceless and fun!

we had about 4 hours to fill before heading back to AKL for the Magic Express, so we walked back over to the MK!
we had 10 magic FP from our adventure the night before on BTMRR - extras from Shawna and her family since they had left earlier that morning.

within the next 1 1/2 hours we rode the following using our FP's....
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
BTMRR - twice
Jungle Cruise
even with crossing the park and travel time we were quiet amazed we got them done so quickly!

It had gotten pretty warm that day, so we got a cool drink and found some shade, did a bit more wandering around and looking in shop's before it was time to say our good-byes...

headed back to AKL and picked up our carry-one bags, got cleaned up and a snack to enjoy while we waiting for our bus back to MCO.

made it through security pretty quickly and settled in for our wait to take off...no delays going home, no crying babies, just a quiet and relaxing flight home...got back to Seattle around 10pm, got our luggage and called mom for our curbside pick up....we were home around 1130pm and crashed hard, took us a couple of days to get back into the normal groove.

Thank you all for joining our magical journey to WDW!!!

we are leaving tomorrow morning for our next adventure.....trip to NY to visit with Jim's boss' family, meet the children of the other man Jim was with in Haiti and lost his life too and to meet everyone at the office out on Long Island for a couple of days.....then off to NJ to visit friends there (we lived in NJ back in 2000-2001 and have remained great friends with them) for three days before heading back into NYC for the remaining 6 days of our trip....
Seeing Wicked with my friend and her oldest DD from NJ,
hoping to meet up with Tim (that's nice) and his family,
doing a DIS meet with some ladies and their families from the Creative Community forum's, and spending some extra time with one of the families
meeting up with the mom of one of the Lynn University girls - Britney - we are involved with helping them build the orphange in Haiti,
going to see The Lion King
a shopping trip to American Girl along with dinner and a harbour cruise through AG

will post a few photos when we get home of our trip!

Thanks again everyone, loved sharing our trip with you all!

Lisa and Megan

Have a safe and wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing your dream trip with us. So sorry for your loss.

Lisa, THANK YOU, for letting us be a part of your trip and for sharing your memories of your dear, Jim. I enjoyed the TR so very much and seeing Megan with a big smile on her face.

Your story about Goofy and your shirt was so very special.

Have a wonderful time in New York and, if you meet Tim, give him a big hug from me.

I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

I too enjoyed seeing Megan beaming and your smiles, I know they weren't always easy! :goodvibes I am also teary because I didn't get to talk to you tonight and say goodbye. I see you have logged off and I am sure it is for the night. I did PM you. :flower3: Please have a safe journey and know I will be looking forward to hearing about the wonderful time you had! Please give Megan a hug from Auntie Judy!

Are you HOME???? WELCOME BACK!!!! Are you glad to be away from the heat wave? Another friend of mine who lives in Seattle wants me to move there...This was her big selling point (besides living near her): There was a story on the news that we've had 78 minutes of summer so far...that means 78 minutes of temps above 80. Minutes! And only above 80! Not 108! (My van A/C went out and the temp inside was registering 108 on the drive home)...does it even FEEL like summer to you when it is so cool??? Sounds like HEAVEN after the year we have had!

Looking forward to hearing more about the trip, what I DID hear about sounds FUN!!!!
