We also have Celeste as our guide. She has worked for Disney for 13 plus years. She is very good to deal with. I referred some people (none of whom have purchased) but she not only sent them information but she called them to say the packet was on its way and sent me a postcard letting me know their status. I would highly recommend her. Annmarie

We lost our original guide, Bettie Pleasant and we have been members for just over a year. She moved after many years with DVC. We didnt know we could ask for a specific guide so when we needed some answers to a couple of questions, we were told that Debra Robinson was our new guide. She is a very nice person and very genuine. In fact, in speaking with her in just one conversation I felt as if we had so much in common and like I had known her for yrs.

The problem with requesting who you want is that you aren't giving DVC a chance. We can all be sure that DVC has many excellent guides working for them. My attitude is take who they give you and see how they work out. If you decide that you just aren't happy with your new guide, then request a change. You might just be pleasantly surprised with who you end up with (as JimmyTammy pointed out in the above quoted text).

Another Betty Prikryl recommendation. We bought sight unseen and Betty was really good about explaining things to us and being sure we understood the process. She was surprised how much we knew about DVC and I explained that the good people on the Disboards offered a wealth of information. We are looking forward to meeting Betty on our next trip to the BCV, she's a really nice woman.

Hey mickeyc, I too am from NJ (Parsippany) and I too used Kelly Jo. She was real good and I am a pain in the neck.

We initially met Linda S, three years ago. She was real good too, but we weren't ready. When we went back in June 2002, they set us up with Kelly Jo. Kelly told us that they are a team. During our June 2002 trip, we ran into Linda and asked her a question. Linda didn't seem to enthused. Maybe just an off day.

I would recommend both.

AEN: Great to hear from a fellow Jerseyite. From most of the comments on the boards it appears most guides are pretty good and are helpful. Kelly Jo was very helpful and gave me some good advise when we did an add on last year when my son was a CM. We were able to get a discount.

By the way I am only about 15 to 20 min. from Parsippany- -as noted I live in Butler. Can't wait to go back in July. Enjoy!!
