We (me - mom 50s, oldest son, youngest son & his fiancé all over 21) were in Disney on 12/6 & 12/7 staying at SoG. We had military hoppers and had 2 days to do all 4 parks. We activated our passes the day before so we wouldn’t have to waste time doing that, took 45 minutes at guest relations at Disney Springs from when we checked in to when we were called in to meet with a CM. We were coming from Universal.

12/6 - HS & Epcot day - bought Genie+ at 6:45am, and 2 phones signed into the MDE app to try and get RoTR & SDD. Was able to get $ILL RoTR for 12:45, but SDD was at 7:00pm, which wasn’t going to work with our 6:00pm Epcot dining reservations, so I was able to get RoR for 10am. Didn’t get to HS until 9:30 and it was PACKED. I was able to book LL for RnR, ToT, then knowing we were headed over to Epcot, booked a LL for Soarin, and then TT. Also rode Star tours, 3 Caballeros, Mission Space, spaceship earth, & walked around the world.

12/7 - AK & MK day - bought Genie+ again, $ILL for FOP and LL for Na’vi. Was at the park at 8:20 (for some reason thought the park opened at 9, but it was 8), again it was packed. Rode FoP, but Na’vi was down most of the morning, CM told me I could use our LL for a different ride, we were headed over to Safari, Na’vi opened, so we rode stand by and used the LL for Safari. Leaving AK booked LL for splash, and $ILL for space. Booked LL for Buzz & Pirates. Also rode, Dinosaur, Everest, Gorilla falls, it tough to be a bug, BTMR, carousel, Monsters laugh & IASW.

FOR US…wanting to do as much as possible in 2 days, the extra $$ was worth it. I was on my phone more than I would have liked, but I was able to get most of what the “kids” wanted to do.

Sounds like you had a fun filled two days. Too bad you weren't able to take advantage of the early mornings, might have had a better chance to knock out Slinky Dog and tsm

Can I ask, because I don't know, why you have to activate your tickets? I'm sure it's a good reason just to make sure you're not impersonating or whatever, but was just curious. 😊

The person who bought the tickets and everyone who is going to use them needs to be present to show ID & activate them. Prevents someone from buying discounted tickets and then selling them for a profit. Once the tickets are activated your party does not need to stay together

Thanks! I figured that was the case, but dang, seems like such a waste of time and something that can be done online, but guess it's better to have everyone present. Glad you were able to get it done the day before and had a great trip.
