Steve's a little down in the dumps. I thought I might start a thread to let him know how much we care about him or just send him some PD or well wishes or whatever. I'll start:

Steve, I think you're a wonderful, sweet, and caring person, and I'm glad that you're my friend. I'll miss you on the trip, but at least you won't have to listen to Moulin Rouge 312 times. ;)

This is for you:

Steve, a little birdie told me that you're in need of some TLC and Pixie Dust along with a few (((((HUGS))))) thrown in for measure.

Here are the hugs (((((((((((((((((Steve))))))))))))))))))) and some PD *******
I will always admire your endurance and your smile. That's what I remember the most about you.

When I think of you, I remember how you walked around that magical place in so much pain before finding out about your hernia. (That reminded me of my father when he broke his ankle and walked on it for two weeks without much complaining.)

When I see your face in my mind it will be the big smile that you had when you made it to the Wilderness Lodge during our first "unofficial" DIS CON mini meet.

I hope you have a smile on your face, and determination in your heart. God Bless you friend.
Gerri

Steve, I would send you a big kiss but it would be germ filled.... so I am just sending a cyber hug sans germs...until I can give you a real one in December..

Hi, Steve, my Dear Friend!

I miss your posting here on the DIS-CON Board.

I want to publicly thank you again for my brand new WebTV and brand new keyboard.

That is one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me. And you sent me that wonderful card with the little baby on the front, holding her little, cute hands over her little cute face.

It was perfect!

And, you signed it annoyminously from your DIS-CON Friends, but I found out later that it was you.

I have heard from many DISers of your very, big, kind heart.

Do you recognize this picture. It's probably right before you lost your hat, lol. That was just one of the many times I laughed so hard that I was crying spending such wonderful time with you, Steve, and all my wonderful big-hearted DIS Friends.

You see how sneeky Sandra B. is, quickly holding her hands up after pinching my bottom. That's why I'm jumping out of my seat. Wow, she left a big mark on my little BUM, as the British, say...hahaha!

Now, Barbara wasn't as quick at raising her hand, as Sandra B. was pinching my BUM...I like that word...hahaha, after
pinching Frank. He didn't jumb because Barb only pinched his wallet by mistake.

And TIA! Tia...Tia...Tia!!!

Tia was reaching between the front seats
to pinch Steve's and John's BUMS...hahaha...and Steve looks like he is in severe pain and John seems to be enjoying it.

I think that this was all MS-Green-Glove-Barb-For-Real's plan. If I recall Barb wreaked an earlier log on Splash Mountain...hahaha.

Steve, my friend, you take care and I can't wait to see you again at DIS-CON II, too...haha. If yo need anything, you just let me know.

Your friend, Ray :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Steve - Sorry to hear that you are feeling blue. It's perfectly normal to be down in the dumps occasionally. I hope that it's nothing too serious. You're a good friend and a good person. Just remember what Annie said:

It's a hard knock life. (whoops)

The sun will come out tomorrow... (that's more like it)

Awwwwww.....you guys are so good to me. ::sniffle:: Love you all!

I'm going back into the hospital for day surgery tomorrow for the "other side" of the hernia problem, which decided to "pop up" a few weeks ago. Bad timing....I was supposed to go to California with Ms. Dayna. So I've been a little down in the dumps. But I'm never down for long.

The really good news is that I've finally found somebody to share my life with (besides all of you, of course ;)). It's still early.....but it's been great so far.

So anyway, hugs and smoochies to all of you. Thanks for making my day!

Aw, Steve, I'm sorry you're feeling so blue. I know how disappointed you are missing this trip. We're disappointed you're not going-we're sure going to miss you. I guarantee that there won't be a minute that goes by that we don't think of you! :) You are a great guy. You're kind, considerate, thoughtful and hey, you're a Disney nut-Steve, honey-you're one of us! :D
Here's {{{{hugs}}}} for the surgery tomorrow and to make you feel better. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, for sure.
And, I'm happy to hear about the "someone special". It's amazing how that can make you feel better, too! :) :)

Steve, Steve, Steve. You know I love you. I'm sorry you're feeling blue lately. I'm feeling a little blue myself....I'm sorry that you need day surgery again tomorrow--AND--that I won't be giving you a big {{{hug}}} this weekend. :(

You are a really good person Steve Olmsted, and I'm proud to be your friend. I'm so happy for that you have someone special in your life right now. I wish you both the best. :)

We'll be carrying you in our hearts this weekend. :) :) :)

Lovies and Huggies and Smoochies Steve.

Steve,

Thinking about you... I've got a ton on my plate right now too but my DISCON friends are so special... there is always room for a bit more! Like jello... have you every been compared to jello before? It is a compliment I swear...

Be well, get better and bring your "someone special" to DISCON2 please! I'd love to meet this lucky person!

Oh Steve sweetie....know I am thinking of you honey. I can not imagine you BLUE!!! Senind you happy thoughts, PD..hugs and squeezes to my buddy!!! No blue for you sweetie!!!
I am thinking of you.... :) :)

HUGS!!!

Hey Ray!

Shhhhh......Tia's DH wasn't supposed to know about the pinching part (but we all know that's exactly what she was doing). ;)

Thanks for all the encouragement, guys. And yes, I'll be bringing that somebody special down to Florida with me, if all goes well. Poor man. He won't know what hit him. :D

Hey Steve. Sorry to hear that life has you a bit down. I don't make it to the boards much these days but when I heard that you were feeling a little blue I had to stop by to give you a {{{HUG}}}. I hope that special someone that you have found realises exactly what a wonderful person they have found in you. Hope these are looking brighter and better soon.

Steve,

I personally think a hernia operation is a small price to pay to not listen to Moulin Rouge 312 times or wearing the Dumbo Hat, but I am sorry that you won't make it to DIS-Con West. On the brighter side, I am glad that things are working out for you in your personal life. You only have nine and a half months to prepare him for us. Is that going to be enough time?

Sending peach colored PD from Georgia.

Frank

Frank, I'm glad to see you here sending Steve some Georgia PD. :p on the Moulin Rouge and Dumbo comments. :D :bounce: :D

Steve, I'm so sorry you're feeling blue. Maybe some good thoughts from Holland will help?
Can't wait to see you and your 'special someone' at DIS-CON II

Hi Steve,

Sorry to hear that your surgery is interrupting your trip to the Disneyland meet. :( What awful timing! Guess you'll just have to hang out here with the rest of us who will be home here on the Dis during the meet!
We'll just have to take this Dis-meet withdrawal one day at a time, and we'll get through it somehow! :)
Glad to hear things are going so well in your personal life. :D Hang in there & the rest will get better soon! :D

Well, dear friends, I've made it (almost ;) ) out of the fog. The surgery went well, and was relatively minor compared to the last time. The doctor attributed that to my being very aware this time, and "not traipsing around Disney World like a &*^% fool." Hey, what does he know??

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. And as for the 9.5 months to prepare, Frank....well, he already knows about the harem. I'm trying to break it to him gently. He's seen the "Princess" ballcap and the all-American Mickey hat, and a few of the group pictures. ;) One thing: he's has every Disney video ever released, so I think it won't be a difficult conversion. Annnnnnd.....he's never been to Disney World.

Talk to you all soon!
