Just a warning to everybody to check your paperwork carefully! Ours arrived from Disney last week (we go in 3 weeks :woohoo:) and when I was looking through the accommodation and ticket vouchers I couldn't see any mention of the dining plan. I didn't know if there should be so I thought I would call Disney to find out. To be honest I was really calling to make sure they had the room request noted as when I called a few weeks previous to make that I wasn't convinced that they had noted it down (as it happens they hadn't).

The Disney agent had a look at the booking and said it was good that I had called as the dining had actually dropped off and it would have been a problem had we got to check in and not rectified it. Apparently, if they make a change to the booking it can sometimes just disappear. I was a bit confused as we hadn't made any changes but she said they had made an administrative change at some point.

It's all sorted now, firstly they sent a new invoice showing it added and then new vouchers. I just wanted to warn people as it is obviously something that does happen occasionally and would hate for someone to have the hassle of sorting it on arrival. At least they have the room request down now too!

Wow, good thing you checked your paperwork, and thanks for the word of caution.

Now you've made me go back and check mine

Thanks...I just got online to make sure mine is on there too...should take a print out!!...

Thanks for this I have just checked mine:thumbsup2. What number did you call about the room request, I need to do ours but we normally book through ba holidays and booked direct with Disney this time for the hotel and wasn't sure who to call to request a room location?

I definately agree you should double check the booking - all my details on my confirmation e-mail were correct, but i had phoned disney just before my 180 day (ADR) mark as I was struggling to load my booking on to the website - only to find that the booking in their system had us arriving 4 days after what we had booked!!

They managed to sort it no problem - seems like there might have been a mix up between my booking and their system or something - but they too said that it was just as well i had called!

Thanks for posting this - have just checked my Virgin on line booking and there is no mention of free dining however on my paper work there is ....i will have to phone up tomorrow and double check!:thumbsup2

I just called the Disney UK call centre and asked them to add it for me as we are staying at SSR and, according to other threads on this site, DVC properties won't accept room requests other than if it's noted on the reservation. Last time we stayed onsite it was a CSR and then I called the hotel number (which apparently is another central call centre) and they took the details - we got exactly what we asked for:thumbsup2

If you do call the UK call centre I do suggest you call back after and get someone to confirm that your request is on the booking as the first time I called the agent didn't do anything. I kind of suspected as much though as she was quite rushed and spent most of the time telling me they were only requests and couldn't be guaranteed. Only then did she ask what the request was and finally, as an afterthought, she asked what the reservation number was  She didn't confirm my name or anything so I doubted it was on there. Still, she did my a favour really or I probably wouldn't have called back and found out my dining had gone!

When they do add the requests they appear as codes on your Disney invoice (it doesn't show exactly what you asked more the fact there are requests) which was also reassuring!

great, thanks for this, i will def give them a call. I remember last time we checked in they gave us a preffered room in allagator bayou at port orleans but we actually want to be away from the amenaties with a longer walk as we prefer the quiet of magnolia bend - they guy at checkin said they often assign longer stays as near to the amenities as poss if there is room which for most would probably be really helpful but i wanted to request a magnoila bend room so i will give them a call and then probably call them back just to make sure :thumbsup2. glad you got yours sorted and like you say the dinning issue wouldnt have been highlighted if you hadnt called back so it pays to double check.

Should it show on my invoice if I had made any special requests? We have a room near to the food court at SSR.

oh that's terrible. I will have to check our paperwork when we go next year since we've booked it directly with disney! Thanks for the heads up

The exact same has happened to me, I couldn't see my free DDP on my online booking so I requested a new invoice and it was printed clearly on that. If you phone Virgin please can you please let me know what they say as I may have to phone them as well :headache:

My invoice from Disney shows the lines 1 High Floor *R and 1 Nr Transport *R with a note at the bottom *R - Requests not guaranteed. They are indented and just appear randomly in the list and they are not together. The strange thing is I made 3 requests and being near transport was not one of them! When I called Disney I queried this and they said these things on the invoice are just codings they use and she read out to me the 3 requests that I made. I'm not sure if it means that if it's not on your invoice then they haven't noted your request (like they hadn't mine) but it's probably worth calling them to check if it's not on there.

Thank you...I will call them tomorrow to check again. As the requests that were made after the original booking.

Just called Disney UK the CM assured me that our special requests were on the system.

Fingers Crossed.
