We got up and headed to MGM to be there at 9. For some reason I felt like we accomplished the least this day and we did the most backtracking. Which means that now we have to go back soon!
We started by walking down to RNR to get a fast pass, decided to start our youngest on something milder than TOT, so back to guest services to get PS for Fantasmic Dinner at Hollywood and Vine before heading on to our first attraction. We tried to see Lilo and Stitch, but they weren't available until 10:15, so we went to the Backlot Tour and back to catch the RNR. Unfortunately it was down, but we grabbed fp for TOT and back again to see Lilo & Stitch (while dh went to get a locker for our video camera). After this, we headed back once more to try our fp at RNR. Thankfully it was now up and running, and we finally got to ride! Youngest decided he liked it and would do it again. It was also time for TOT fp, but as we went through the lobby and movie room, our youngest was starting to get very nervous (first time he has been tall enough to ride) and even the oldest (who has always loved it) decided he didn't know if he wanted to ride. The oldest ended up loving it again, and the youngest decided once was enough! But, he had to have a Goofy Bellhop hat and ears! I absolutely loved the new version! We got a fp for RNR before leaving the area.
We now thought about getting a quick bite to eat, but as the lines were horrible, we went over to Star Tours and rode it before heading to the Commisary for lunch. We split up on the way there so dh could run across park to get fp for Millionaire, and on the way, boys and I saw Mike and Sully.
After lunch, we went to watch Muppets 3D - boys loved this. Tried to go to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playplace, only to find it was closed because it had rained a little while we were in the theatre. We took pics at Singin' in the Rain umbrella (one of my fav movies) and then we headed over to use our fp at Millionaire. By the time this finished, we were on a quest to find a spot to watch the parade, even though it was now after 3:30 (we generally get our seats at least an hour before!). We ended up with curb spots (in front of a stroller not being used) for the boys, while we stood back behind. Dh didn't have time to go get the video camera, so I was bummed that we missed taping the parade (another reason we need to go back soon!).
After the parade, we headed back to RNR to use our fp, but the ride was shut down again, with a wait in the walk-on of 2 hours. We were told by a CM that they were shutting the ride down every so often and then restarting it, because they had been having trouble with it shutting down on its own. So, we decided to go ahead and head to Hollywood and Vine for our PS a little early.
We had a nice meal, although dh decided he was getting tired of buffets now - and we should have done a different meal package. Since our PS was at 5, we had enough time to go watch Indiana Jones from front row seats after we ate. This was one of my boys absolute favorites! So glad we did it this time. After the show, we headed toward Fantasmic entrance down by the lockers (got video camera this time!) and walked in to a very good seat. The theatre was already getting pretty crowded, but it got totally packed by the time the show started. We enjoyed the show, and walked out easily considering the crowds.
