Hello

We are going to DLP for the first time next week and I have a few questions:-

1 My son is celebrating his birthday during our visit. Am I right in thinking that he is able to claim a birthday gift as we will be purchasing Francilien/Fantasy Aps on arrival? (Our accommodation is off-site)

2 Where exactly are the car park, main entrance and picnic area located?

3 We are hoping to purchase 2 Francilien Passports and 1 Fantasy Passport 'at the gate' when we arrive on Monday, 15 Dec. Does anyone have any idea how long we would have to wait?

Many thanks.:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Welcome to the boards :wave2:

1) I've certianly not heard of that...I saw some children getting teddies when their parents bought them AP's when we were there in October.

2) The car park is located about 5 minute walk from the main gates, the picnic area is right outside the entrance, in front of the Disneyland Hotel.

This map may help

You can see the car park in the far right, the Disneyland Hotel is also basically the entrance and the grdens infront of the Hotel are the picnic area.

3) If you go to Guest Relations to the right hand side of the Disneyland Hotel probably about 5-10 mins :thumbsup2

Are you aware that Francilien Passports cannot be used on the 2nd and 3rd day (I think it is) after purchase? Therefore this would only work if you intend not visiting the park for a couple of days at the start of your holiday.

You might also want to check the 'blackout' days for both these types of passes, for any potential future visits.

Have a wonderful trip!

Many thanks for your speedy replies.

cap'njack - thanks for the superb map. The waiting time to purchase APs is not nearly as long as I envisaged! I was envisaging huge crowds at DLP at this special time of year.

kevankiki - I am aware of the 2nd and 3rd day rule and two days in Paris have already been planned, but thanks for the warning anyway - if I hadn't known and I was only visiting for 2/3 days, it would have been an awful shock!:thumbsup2

You are welcome. Most people would queue at the front gates for the AO but if you head for GUEST RELATIONS at the right of the DLH then the queue there will be much, much lower

I was looking at another website when I read about a birthday gift for a child who is an Annual Passport holder, but I must admit that some of the info on the site seemed a bit out of date, so perhaps DLRP did do this once but have now stopped it. Anyway, I am going to ask when I am there next Monday. After all, nothing ventured, nothing gained!:santa:

I also had a look at the official French site of DLPR and I notice that even though parking is free if you hold a Fantasy or Dream AP, if you pay for it on the day of arrival of your first visit, the amount is not reimbursed to you, which seems a bit unfair. :rotfl2: Has anyone come across this?

I've been told that you can claim it back but I was staying onsite so I didn't need to try it out for myself.

I was told that when you pay for parking you need to ask for a reciept so that the AP Office can tell that you HAVE paid for parking and then they will deduct the amount off of the total bill for your AP's.

I have never heard of anyone recieving a birthday present when buying a AP.

When we bought our APs in August we were told we couldn't claim that day's parking back :confused3

Have a great time!

I asked about this in July and was told they don't refund on parking.
