We had the absolute best time! on a budget! We went 4-23 till 4-30. Booked roundtrip non stop from newark to LAX through hotwire only cost about 210. per person. We took advantage of buy 3 days get 2 free hopper tix. And were first going to stay ramada about 60 bucks a night (there are 6 of us BTW) I read some reveiws though and was reluctant so I found the raddison in buena park (about 5 miles) THIS PLACE WAS SO NICE! Although, you can tell its a lil old it has been updated. It was most importantly CLEAN had sleep number beds a free HOT breakfast every morning which saved us a BUNDLE. We were lucky enough to be right near the pool and restuarant and the shuttle system was perfect. Aside from the parks we visited all the main beaches and the city. Disneyland attractions are so similar to WDW but it was a blast!

Sounds like a great trip. So as one Long Islander to a former Long Islander (Long Beach, Hicksville, Baldwin, Oceanside, Freeport etc.) which beach did you like the best?

Out in Socal definitely Huntington beach NOT huntington LI! lol. Out here on the Island nothing beats MONTAUK! We will def be going back to cali in a few years! It is much more expensive for us. For now we stick with our Orlando trips pretty much stay on property there is so much more to do and we have lots of family in the central Fl area! You us New yorkers, most of us started in the one of the 5 boroughs, then moved to the "country" (Long Island, was the country years ago) then we migrate to FLA. Some of the lucky ones like you take risks and go west to AZ! lol.

Thanks - We'll have to check out Huntington SoCal. Most of my family is still in NY though the relatives seem to be flocking to Florida. Airfare for six is $$$$$$$ way too much. Haven't been back to NY for almost 16 years so I am sure it has changed alot. Some day hopefully.

We are 6 as well and always on a budget! Check out southwest.com and download DING! also, this trip we ended up paying 212.00 per person roundtrip through hotwire. From Long Island to Orlando I usually can get 49 each way........thats 600 for all of us I couldn't drive there for 600.00. Gas alone may cost us that much not to mention food, driving time, kids fighting, yadda yadda. I always see specials from AZ to NY. DING is a great way to go and hotwire my second choice!
