Well, being from our part of Texas we were not used to the humidity. I mean we have 105 degree temps but humidity isn't that high. So needless to say, I was drenched the first five minutes. Lily, however, INSISTED on keeping on her many layered tulle princess dress the entire day. Are you seeing the word INSISTED connected to my daughter's name a lot in this report. Being very transparent with you....Yes, she is strong-willed and head strong, which will come in handy as she gets older. However, as a toddler, it can become quite annoying at times. Nonetheless, I thought heck, It's Disney! Let her sweat! She was from then on crowned the Sweating Princess. No kidding, she was drenched......She even took her NAP at the resort in that dress.....We had to hide it the rest of the trip so she wouldn't wan to wear it EVERY day

Sorry, I digress....back to the trip report! We decided to ride the carousel first. She was a little leery of it once it started moving, but after that she plopped right down on a horse and had herself a good ol' ride! The picture is not really good...we are in the back left.

Next, off to Dumbo. If you will notice, I am the one riding the rides with Lily. My poor hubby gets motion sick, so I was the chosen one. We only waited for Dumbo 10 minutes. She LOVED this ride.

After the ride, we met a few characters and didn't stand in line for very long. We met the wicked stepsister and step mother. Lily kept asking, why are they not smiling very much. They were really playing up their parts. Then we met the lovely Fairy Godmother!

While I was on Dumbo, someone gave my hubby three fastpasses for Peter Pan! So we headed straight there. I was a little nervous about this one for Lily because I knew it was in the dark, but she actually did pretty good. We then went on my favorite...It's a Small World.

We decided at that time we would go back to resort for lunch and rest. We had bought some foods from Garden Grocer....so we ate in our room. Everyone took a much needed nap. We knew we were going to be up late that night for the Parade and Wishes Fireworks show......
We came back to MK around 4:00. Again, the buses were great. Here is a couple of shots of hubby and Lily. The first ones I took that morning didn't turn out because of humidity. I had to learn to deal with the humidity and wipe the lens before I could take any decent shots.

Honestly, things run together and I don't remember exactly what all we did that day! I know we looked for characters, but didn't see very many, so we planned on the last MK day we would find tons of characters. I think this is the day we went and saw Mickey and Minnie in the Theatre.

Lily was not scared AT ALL of them. I was sure she was going to have a melt down with all the characters with heads that don't talk come out, but nope!!!
We had to get undercover and eat because it started to rain really hard. We went to a small quick service place that had a cover and watched everyone get soaked for about an hour. I was so sad thinking the parade and fireworks would be cancelled, but 30 minutes before the show....it stopped! Of course by then we didn't have a good place to stand at all, but we crammed ourselves in there. Here is Lily getting ready for the show

Not sure why she felt the need to wear her shades, but maybe she thought the fireworks would be bright! Ha!
Lily and her Daddy just playing around. He loves that girl!
I love the castle at night. We loved the show, but Lily was honestly pretty afraid of the noise. We were holding her in that HORRIBLY hot dress, she was exhausted, it was soooooo hot, and she was crying for a good part of it. I kept smiling....and then she said, right before fireworks started..."mommy, I need to tee tee". Ummmm.....there is a crowd of 50,000 people packed around us and nowhere to move. Or breathe. I told her try to hold it (am i a bad Mommy?).....She covered her ears for most of the fireworks, cried a little, and I think maybe she ended up tee-teeing in her pants (ok, I am a bad mother), but we couldn't GET OUT! If I could have, I would have. Once it was over and I got her to the restroom everything on her was wet, so I couldn't tell if she had just sweated a bucket or had an accident. But no harm done. She washed, right?

Once we made our restroom run, the CM's were actually directing us out a "secret employee" exit!!! We didn't have to go through the crowds at the front! We made it to the bus stop, and this was the only horrible bus ride....there were a million Brazilian touring groups, the line was really long, we were really hot and tired and it was well after 11:00. One group leader got in a fight with the bus drivers and we were all packed in there like sardines. Not a fun experience, but really the only bad one we had!
On to Hollywood Studios tomorrow...
