Hi all!
I was thinking I'd start a short PTR for our upcoming "drive-by" visit to WDW! I haven't posted any TR's here on the DIS before except for my TR of our Wedding/Disneymoon trip in the Wedding and Honeymoon forum which is linked below-
WHO:
Lori (me) 41
,
DH (Eoghan) 32
WHEN:
3 nights from Saturday Sept. 19-Tuesday Sept. 22
Where:
In a Studio with an MK view at BLT.
Dining Reservations:
We're not doing a heck of a lot of dining this trip (well, for us anyway
). Though there are a number of "traditions" that we adhere to. It's just that we can't do as many as we only there for such a short time. So this is what we have booked:
Saturday: Dinner in Morocco (one of our traditions. We LOVE it and the last time we ate here I tried a new dish on the menu which was soooo yummy and DH wants to try it!)
Sunday: Dinner at Narcoossee's. I have made reservations for this place the last 3 trips and have yet to actually go! We said we'd eat there this trip if it killed us!
Monday: Breakfast at Kona Cafe. We have had lunch and dinner here and have really enjoyed the food and service. We have not ever had Tonga Toast and we need to try it this trip!
Lunch in Biergarten. This is a tradition. One of my faves for sure.
Dinner in San Angel Inn in Mexico. Also one of our faves and
despite the fact that the tables are somewhat close to-
gether, we think it's one of the most romantic
restaurants in WDW. We like to get the Mole Poblano, it's
better here than anywhere else I've had it.
Tuesday: Breakfast at Crystal Palace. Another tradition and I love the fact that DH likes it too even though he's only been to WDW twice! He has asked when I was planning the ADR's for this trip and the wedding one if we were going to go to CP! How could I say no? Too cute!
Any special plans, events, etc. that you have planned:
Nothing really. Hopefully meeting up with some fellow Disney brides and some others. And maybe my wedding photographer.
Also, due to an injury I sustained on my wedding/honeymoon trip, we missed out on being in the parks for like 3 days of our honeymoon, so we didn't get to do AK like AT ALL or just simply walk around World Showcase and relax with a drink or two (which is something we love to do) so this trip is to do the things we missed doing on our last trip. But not in a hurried or stressed our way...
Also, this is our first time using DME as the last two trips we drove down...
So, all in all, there are quite a few firsts this trip! (OH! And DH hasn't done either HoP or MS yet, so those are definitely on the list!)
Basically, this trip was first conceived because we wanted to use our AP's that we got with our wedding package again before they expired. Then when we bought into DVC on our Disneymoon, it was too hard to not go! We were able to book a MK view Studio for the same nights we were looking at so we just went ahead and booked it!
All we had to pay for was flights and food (and of course, shopping!
)
