Our First Trip as Parents! December 2012 TR - 8/6 OMG a TR link!

I'm so annoyed with the new Photobucket! I finally found my photos right in the middle of my old photos. It took me forever! Is there an option to bring the new uploaded pictures to the front of the library?!

Even though we were so stinkin full from lunch at Via Napoli, we knew that something important was in order. Something in the form of liquid. And we were, after all, in the World Showcase! So what better place to start than right here in Italy! We made our way to the Tutto Gusto Wine Bar right across the way from Vian Napoli and go inside. It was gorgeous! The light fixture was amazing. Made from wine bottles

We were seated at a table by like, 3 servers. It was so dead in they all seemed excited to serve us. Too bad we were only having wine. They had a great selection of cheeses, but we were all just too stuffed. So we each did our own wine tasting.

I did the From the Hills of Piemonte tasting

DH did the Soft Elegant Reds

And DM did the Crisp Italian Whites

Mine were so delicious. Particularly the Barbera. I love Barberas! We all had so much fun talking to the servers and talking about where theyre from. One in particular, cant remember his name, had a lot of fun talking to my DM in Spanish (of all languages!) and I think my DM enjoyed it as well. Next time, well be coming here with empty stomachs so we can partake in all of the cheese!

After our wines were downed, we head over to Japan. DH and I decided before going on the trip, that we were going to have my DM do the Pick Your Pearls in Japan as a small Christmas present. But first we browsed around the beautiful country

I think its so funny when DS looks up through the sunroof of the stroller

We headed into Mitsubishi (since I can never remember the real name! :lmao:) and everyone went there separate ways, as if they already knew what they wanted. I was left alone with the stroller.

I spot DM and of course, starts picking up things

And guess where DH is?

Here Ill zoom out a bit

Im pretty sure we tasted the Tenryo and it was very good. I wish we would have bought a bottle but wasnt sure how to bring it home. Just like the wine at Tutto Gusto. Their wine was reasonably prices, but didnt bring any wine skins with us.

Just got caught up. We love Via Napoli too! I can vouch for the Quattro Formaggi pizza being delicious! So good! We plan to go back there on our December trip. We're also looking forward to trying out Tutto Gusto, so that was cool to see a little bit of it in your report.

This picture is so stinkin' cute!!!!!! Love it!

We tried the wine bar in October and I will most certainly be heading back there in June. I loved it in there and I imagine I will love it even more when I need to get out of the June heat.

I hear you on traveling with bottles. I am always too afraid to bring anything home, but in June we are driving so as much as I don't want to drive, I really have to take advantage of our one (and hopefully only) driving trip. :rolleyes1

Yay! So glad you liked that pizza. I for sure will be getting it then :thumbsup2 I really cannot wait for your TR with Dug Baby! :cool1:

Oh yes. And The Ditch is another great place to ditch the heat :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Well I can see how you'd be nervous. Seeing that you dropped that Carolina Lemonade Vodka in HHI:rotfl2: I'm reading your TR for that right now and am loving it so far. I must say though, not as many alcoholic beverages in that TR than your current one with Eandesmom (sp?).

Your visit to Tutto Gusto looks like a lot of fun. We have not been yet :lmao: but it's on my to do list for the summer.

We never go into the Japanese store, but I guess we didn't really know the sake corner. Guess we will pay it a visit rather sooner than later.

As for bringing home bottles. We always have some bottles to bring home. Just wrap them tightly in a T-shirt or two and stick them in the middle of the suitcase, you won't have a problem. :thumbsup2

I am determined to spend some time in Tutto Gusto on our next trip. I literally just popped my head round the door last time to take a look but never got back there

We need to not pack every day with ADRs next time, we would actually much prefer to snack (and drink!) our way around world showcase :)

I didn't know there was a wine bar in Italy! :thumbsup2

I love the store in Japan, always fun to browse.

create a sub folder in photobucket and when you upload new pics just make sure you select that destination as where you want them to upload too, it will bring them to the front of the album for you.

:thumbsup2

I still haven't made my way into Tutto Gusto yet. I'd love to go in and check it out, sometime.

:confused3 Close enough for me! :lmao::rotfl2:

Sounds reasonable... :drinking1

Wow I am surprised you haven't been yet! :lmao: It's a must Karin :thumbsup2

Thanks for that tip about the bottles. You've never had a problem with cracks or leaking? I've seen the way luggage carriers handle luggage :scared1:

Linda, Tutto Gusto is such a nice, relaxing getaway. We had completely forgot that we were at WDW.

Yes! I'm praying that if we can get to WDW this October for F&W, we won't be needing many ADR's :worship:

Yes! And it is amazing! I actually found out about this place through one of the TR's I was reading a while back and was so happy to hear that there was a place like this. It's so relaxing.

This is wonderful news! Thanks so much :worship:

Perhaps if you make it back to WDW this year, you'll be able to check it out

I think it's very reasonable. :thumbsup2

No leaking, no crack, no nothing. Just make sure you wrap it well and that it cannot move in your suitcase. Oh, and mine travel in our Samsonite hard case!

I know we must try Tutto Gusto during our summer trip, but it got pushed back as we usually can get really good wine and nibbles when we go to Italy on weekend trips. ;)

Great updates! Now that I am all caught up, I will go take the photos of my pins and pennies you asked for

Yep that's me. But I have a good excuse!

1) DH was on Spring break all last week so it was fun to hang out with him and get things done around the house.

2) We were out of town for the weekend. We went to the coast for my birthday so didn't have much time for the internet.

3) Easter and my birthday (i'm 29 now! :faint:) was on Sunday so that day was filled.

4) I need some pictures of some things for my next update from my mom and I keep forgetting!

I'll be updating hopefully on Wednesday because tomorrow will be a busy day. DS will be 6 months tomorrow! Crazy. And tomorrow will be the first time trying out solid foods so we're excited to do that. I'll post pictures of that first before my update i'm sure. I'm just now catching up on everyones TR's :thumbsup2

Happy birthday for Sunday Alicia, hope you had a lovely day!

Remember to record DS having his first food, the faces they usually pull are very funny.

I bet he has grown so much compared to the photos from your vacation.

Thanks Lisa!

We are definitely recording him tonight! I'm actually really looking forward to it. I'm hoping that this may help him sleep a little bit more at night. He's still drinking 3 5 ounce bottles a night which is crazy, I think! We're only starting out with the baby cereal per doc's orders, but I can't wait until we move on to veggies and fruits!

Yes! It's so crazy when I update here and post pictures, he doesn't look the same to me anymore:(

Happy birthday!!! :dance3:

And hey, it's okay..I understand just spending time with your DH. :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes

It's crazy, even though DS is only 6 months old, you kind of forget what it was like before you have a kid, but we got to relive those moments this past week and that was very nice.

Happy belated Birthday

Hope you had a lovely day

Oh and by the way will DS be posting a dining review? ;)

Ok, 29 is one to celebrate and enjoy. The one that sucks is 31. The 30 one isn't so bad. You still feel like you're in your 20's and you're ok with it. It's when you put that 1 after the 3 that it starts to get you. :headache: Happy Birthday!

Good luck with the solid foods. You might want to consider wearing a rain poncho. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:
