Sept 11, 2002
Today we got a later start, but got to Epcot around 9:30. It was a cloudy, rainy day today. The park wasn't too crowded at all.
After we got the stroller, we headed to Spaceship Earth. That was a great ride. It was so relaxing. We did stop for a few minutes, but we were on our way in no time.
Our next stop was The Living Seas. We got to look at alot of different fish, dolphins, and manatee. The girls really had a great time with the hands-on items. When we got out, a rain shower came through, and the stroller was soaked.
Next was the walk around the world. All of the different buildings were so pretty to look at. I felt like I was in each country. It was getting crowded at the American Pavillion (it was Sept. 11th) for the moment of silence, but I really didnt want to be there (I have my own way of mourning I guess), and we went to eat in Germany.
After lunch, we walked around some more, just looking at the different buildings, then stopped in Norway. The girls and daddy played on a viking ship, and I watched and took pictures of them. Went to Mexico, and rode on the boat. I told DD1 this is just like It's a small world at MK.
There wasnt anything going on in the WS, so off we went to Test Track. I didnt want to ride, so DH and DD1 took off to ride. I was surprised she went on it!! She liked everything except for the end when they were speeding around the track. We then started walking up front and decided to leave Epcot, and go to the Magic Kingdom!!! I kinda knew the girls would get bored at Epcot (They really like rides), so that gave us an extra half day in the Kingdom.
We got to the Kingdom in time for the parade!! The girls loved it!! DD1 had her camera, and was taking pictures of every float. Her favorite was the Pincesses. We were right at the end of the parade, so we kept the girls busy with snacks and drinks until we heard Mickey talking.
After the parade, we headed for the train. We rode it all the way around the park. After the train, we wondered to Tomorrowland. DH rode Alien Encounter. There was no way DD's and I were going to get on it!! The girls and I waited outside for him, bought some popcorn and soda, and waited, and waited, and waited. A vendor was kicking those huge balls to the girls, and they had fun. DD2 discovered feeding the birds while we waited. So instead of eating the popcorn, she would throw it on the ground for them.
After DH was done, we headed for everyone's favorite ride Buzz Lightyear. DD1 and I rode together, and had a blast. DH and DD2 had a great time together too. Since there was no line, we went through again. DD2 and I went together this time. We all got pretty good at it (DD2 was trying to shoot all the spiders, she hates spiders). Next we went on TTA. We got to see the inside of Space Mountian and Buzz. We liked that relaxing ride!!
We then started toward Fantasyland, and rode the Tea Cups, Pooh, and Snow White without any wait. Snow White scared DD2 too much, so she wouldnt get on it again.
Since the park closed at 6:00, we stared back to the front. What a long day for all of us!!
Next up: More Magic Kingdom!!!
