Our first holiday gift

Every year we invite a family friend over for Thanksgiving, and he always brings a Christmas themed gift. His theory is that there's already too much food, flowers just die, and Thanksgiving serves as the intro to a new holiday season. He also believes in the "more is more" theory, while never outrageously expensive, are always quite large (in literal size).

Today he brought us this:

This, my friends, is a "55-inch Mickey and Friends Holiday Stocking," according to the box. The thing doesn't even fit in front of the fireplace when hanging from the mantle! Needless to say, I've already claimed this baby as MINE, and fully expect Santa to fill it all the way to the top

I have that stocking! So cute. We got it at Costco....everything is bigger at Costco
We plan to hang it on the front door this year instead of a wreath.
