I'm up at 6:00, make coffee and head outside for a smoke and a look see around. I go back inside just before the phone rings and I hit the speaker. Of course the crew all sleep through it I think it's Mickey but it's kind of scratchy so I'm not sure.
Anyway I wake them all up, pack the backback and the fanny packs, change the ice in the cooler which now has a 4 pack of Coor's Light in it! I grab a Brita and we are off to AK for EE!
We don't wait long at the bus stop and soon we are standing in security for AK. We get through and head to Donald's for breakfast. We're a little late cause we got lost (lost in AK? yup that would be me!) anyway we also run into some CM's with bug boxes, one holds some kind of HUGE cockroach and the other a trantula! ick poo! I can't even spell the darn thing. We get directions for Donald's and we're on our way! We head to Dino land and there are CM's blocking the way! Ummm we're going to Donalds I say, the nice CM says in a mean voice "Well it's about time you got here!" I laugh and off we go! We get there just a few minutes late, get our pic taken---hate it! not buying this one--and we get seated. Donald comes over to say hi and of course I see Goofy heading our way. I look at DS4/5 and he's getting that look of horror on his face but doesn't retreat to under the table. He's much better this time THANK GOD! The food is good, we eat TONS DS4/5 has pudding with breakfast but Hey! we're on vacation why change things now lol!
We head for our first ride ever and it's Dinosaur! We are the first ones of the day and the CM outside tells us a joke "What was Tigger looking for in the toilet?" Dunno??? "POOH"! OK it's lame but we all laugh and walk in. We get ushered into a room with TV screens and watch the pre show. Looking good! DS4/5 freaks when the lights go out and after the pre we have to PS. So I tell DH and DS12 to go on in. Me and DS4/5 look through the store, handy how you get to visit the stores during PS. Anyway about 6 min later they come out and me and DS12 head on. I never see the Dinosaur lunge at us cause the bright light temporarily blinds me and sends my contacts into orbit, DS12 tells me about it afterwards! It begins to rain just as we all get together in the store and I whip out our dollar store Elmo looking raincoats as the entire store full of people don Big Bird ones and the CM's rush around to make demand.
I decide I better get that KS FP so I leave the crew and power walk to KS...man! this is FAR! I see a Queen Ant just walking into an area and run over and ask for a pic! My first one solo!!! DH and DS4/5 ride triceratops spin and DS12 rides PW while I am gone. When I get back we go hit ITTBAB and it was fun! DS4/5 cried when he got wet and didn't really like it very much....wonder if he's gonna like much! It's pouring pretty good by now and we see CM's calling pple into Tarzan Rocks...it's dry so SURE! Well the boys liked it but me and DH could have done without. I think at this point I spotted the little bar and headed over there to get a frozen Marg and DH a Yingling. The wind started whipping and the poor pple at the tables were holding onto their food and the babies for dear life. I didn't mind the rain....had me a Margarita, I was at WDW and once your wet...well your WET!
Time for our PS at KS. Actually there wasn't a line at all so we just walked in. Mike from Jersey was our guide and he said that we were very lucky to see so many animals. One couple behind us insisted that the animals were fake. The rain then slowed up a bit so we hit a character trail and saw Pooh, Piglet, Eyeore and Tigger. They were just taking a break so we were first in line when they came back! Piglet joked with DS12 that he was too big for a pic and a sign but then wrote "I was playing" in his book. I looked over to my left where Tigger was and what did I see????? DH was bouncing
with TIGGER!! BOUNCING!!! I got a pic! I think he's beginning to GET IT!
We get a turkey (ahem EMU) leg and it's HUGE! fatty and a funny red color as well. IT's not bad just different and thank god we only got 1 because 3 of us all took turns knawing at it. We head into Lion King and we were Warthogs! Great show! We really love it. We see Timon and get his pic and sign outside.
We were pretty soggy at this point and my feet are beginning to hurt BAD, so we decide to skip the rest of the park, foregoing the parade sigh* and head back to CBR. Of course it STOPS raining the moment we get to the bus stop!
We walked into our room and there on the bed is a Welcome Home Sign sitting with DS4/5 Pooh Bear! How cute is that! I then glance over to the vanity area and I gasp
OH MY GODDDDD IS THAT???? IS THAT!!!DH &DS12 come running into the room WHAT! I'm pointing to the vanity just pointing and can't say a word....they run over I guess expecting to see some big huge bug or something and there right there on our vanity is all our stuff laid out and a darling swan holding DH's toothbrush and a cute little bunny holding mine!!! AWWWWW! I of course take pics!
The boys head to the arcade armed with our motorola 2 ways and me and DH hit the courtyard, him for a brew and me to jot things down in my journal. My cell rings and it's Kathleen FL! She's about 40 min away! She was going to stay at CBR for the night before switching to BVC but she changed her mind. We arrange to meet and I tell her that I will call her when we leave for the bus. I run upstairs and take a quick shower, dress and do make-up...I can't wear my sneakers so I put on sandals and band aids on my toes and I call KathleenFL to tell her we are ready to go! Well she surprises me by saying she will pick us up! WOW! in a convertable no less! We head to the Boardwalk for a drink and some munchies where Kathleen introduces us to her daughter and son in law, nice pple!! Her daughter kindly offers Kathleen to us for the night and Kathleen decides to go to Illuminations with us! We finish up our drinks at ESPN...warning the hot dogs are like 16 inches long, loaded with cheese and chili and I swear they come on a loaf of bagette bread! DS12's eyes are way bigger then his stomach and DH winds up eating half ok well 3/4!
We walk over to Epcot and when Kathleen puts in her AP it beeps! Oh that's not a good thing right? The CM explains that it has expired! Oh no! She meant to have it renewed earlier but with the hotel change and picking us up and all she forgot to. The line at guest services is a little long so Kathleen tells us to go on and have a good time! WAHHHH!!!
Well the next thing I know Pixie dust falls from the sky (I saw it!) and the CM lets her through the gate! THANK YOU SO MUCH MISS CM!!!! We choose our spot and me and Kathleen hoof it over to Rose and Crown in the UK to get a drink. My DH drinks Yingling..or Coor's light PEROID! Well Rose and Crown doesn't HAVE Yingling and the CM there looks at me like I'M a YINGLING! Coor's light? no? ok what is CLOSE to Coor's light? He hands me a little cup with a bit o beer in it and I taste it...Yup that's beer alright
not being a beer drinker anyway and doubting that DH will notice much now anyways I order him one of those. Have no clue as to what it was but it was EXPENSIVE!!! I grab a coffee and Kathleen gets a drink (she pays with her DD card!) and we head back over to watch Illuminations. Well what can I say! What a spectacular show! Totally awesome and just wonderful. DS4/5 covers his ears cause it's "too loud" yeah and his screaming at the top of his lungs is quiet!
We head back to the Boardwalk where the boys hit the ESPN arcade and Kathleen and DH grab another drink and we sit on the Boardwalk just enjoying being at WDW and with each other. The boys get picture postcards taken ($5 each) and it's getting late, long day so Kathleen takes us back to CBR and we hug good-bye! I have to say that Kathleen is a great person! She helped me with the stroller swap and posted a pic of the 2 of us on the BB under the heading Stroller Pic.
I put on the TV...hey they didn't take my tip envelope and my remote still doesn't work! Oh well! Tomorrow is another day!
I set the wake up to 6:31 and drift off to sleep with CNN.
