Welcome to my first ever trip report!
But definitely not our first trip! Our family has been DVC members for 11 years and we love our home resorts of BWV and AKV. We are staying at BWV from June 10-17, 3 nights in a studio and 4 nights in a one bedroom with an extra studio for DS and DDIL. We are flying direct to MCO, and are all finished packing for our morning flight. Tomorrow at this time we will be at EPCOT. We spend a lot of time lurking on these boards, but don't post as much.
Now for our cast of characters
Me: Katie, My husband and I joined DVC in 2000 after a few trips to WDW and a Disney Cruise. We love all things Disney vacation. We started with points at BWV and a few years later added on at AKV. We love our Disney vacations and the memories we have created for our family over the years. I am more in charge of the organization aspect of planning the trips pulling it all together.
DH: Mike, is definitely the planner of the family. He lives to plan his next Disney vacation. Before we are home from one trip, he is already talking about and planning our next trip. He makes all our dining reservations. He is the one coming home from work with menus of restaurants asking where we want to eat on our next trip. He is also good about taking me away from work to Disney by sending me emails during a work day suggesting tips or tricks for our next trip. He is my Clark Griswold and an all around great husband and dad.
DD: Becca, who is 18 and loves our DVC and Disney vacations. She is celebrating graduation from high school. After her high school incorporated personal PCs for each student, she spent way too much time on the Disboards. Instead of paying attention in Spanish or taking notes on the structure of Congress, she was reading trip reports and decided we needed to write one for our next trip. She would not let up, so here we are! She is a great kid, super smart and very mature for her age. She has already claimed our DVC, but not sure what her DB will think of that!
With special guest appearances by
DS and DDIL: Mike and Katie, they got married in October and live in Florida. It can obviously get confusing with two Mikes and two Katies. Who would have thought that my DS would marry a Katie, a great name by the way but then again, I am a little partial. They will join us for the weekend and we have a studio booked for them. Our DDIL had never been to Disney before she met my son, so we are doing our best to convert her into a Disney freak as well!
The 3 of us have annual passes and we will buy our DS and DDIL Florida 3-day passes. We plan to buy a new TIW card once we arrive.
