Our first ever split stay

So indecisive. So we are going to do the AOA from April 12-15th then POR royal rooms from April 15th- 20th. I didn't realize when you do a spilt stay you have to pay 2 deposits- Yikes. Hoping some sort of discount comes out for those dates but I doubt it! Oh well! It's done and I feel better. I just could not decide which would be better!! We got spoiled and got upgraded to the Poly in Feb due to the RR not being ready and I wanted to try them. Now if April would just get here already

You'll have to post back and let us know how it went. I've not done a split stay before but we're considering it so we can check out a mod or deluxe....but no way can we afford to stay in one for a whole week.

And yea....I'd not thought about the double deposits either. Since we always have to book 2 rooms, that's a LOT of deposits LOL

What are you doing for tickets? Are your resort stays with a package or room-only?

I have always been hesitant to try resort hopping (split stays), but tried it this summer and was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely a fun experience. I wrote about it here and gave a few tips you might find helpful:

We are also trying our first split stay this year. Even though we are DVC owners, I could not imagine going to WDW and not trying AoA. We have a 5 daughter who is obsessed with mermaids. So we are doing 4 nights at AoA and then 11 at AKV-Kidani.
I am thinking it will be nice to break up the trip and see 2 new places instead of 1!
