Well, in a few days, we're outta here...I can't believe it's almost time!!
Here's our itinerary and stats:
Cast of characters:
Don - my husband, 30 years old. A bad childhood experience at Disneyland (his parents' fault, not Disney's!) made him a professed Disney hater for years, until he went back as an adult. He is now firmly converted...been to DLand several times, Epcot twice, and WDW in general once.
Me - 29 years old. Many wonderful childhood experiences at Disneyland have made me a Disneyphile for life. Been there too many times to count, and WDW once.
Spencer - our son, almost 3. Been to Disneyland once, LOVED it, and we can't wait to show him WDW!
Itinerary:
Leave Monday morning, arrive in the afternoon. Check into the Boardwalk Villas. Spend the afternoon at Downtown Disney, browsing shops, buying our APs and probably eating at Wolfgang Puck Express. Evening is open, but will be catching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from somewhere or other.
Tuesday - Epcot
Wednesday - Disney Studios (lunchtime PS at the Brown Derby)
Thursday - Animal Kingdom, dinnertime PS at Boma
Friday - Magic Kingdom (Crystal Palace character breakfast)
Saturday - open. Spending it with a friend, at whichever park he wants to go to.
Sunday - open...doing whatever we missed earlier in the week
At the moment, my biggest worry is ME. Last trip, Don came down with strep throat the week before we were scheduled to leave, and then had an allergic reaction to his antibiotics and had to have them changed. I seem to be carrying on the "get sick just before Disney" tradition admirably, if not quite so dramatically, with a very nasty cold. I'm feeling much better today, although it's still hard to talk (throat congestion and irritation), so here's hoping I'm completely on the mend by Monday morning.
There you have it!
