Our First Disney Vacation.

Hi, I am a long time lurker, first time poster, from MN, just wondering if there are any tips for our first vacation. We are staying in a All Star Vacation Home (Windsor Palms), from Oct 11-18, with our three daughters. I have identical twin girls, age 7 (one has spina bifida), and an older daughter aged 10. One twin loves princesses,and the other loves Minnie Mouse. We are already have planned breakfast at Chef Mickey's one morning, dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, and MNSSHP on Oct 13. Kids (and we) are so excited! Sorry if this got posted twice, I am just learning how to do this!

Congratulations on planning your first trip! I don't have any particular advice, but if you have specific questions most anyone on the DIS will jump in to help. If there are special traveling issues with your daughter's spina bifida you might find advice on the DISabilities board. You could also read some trip reports, they are usually chock full of good ideas.

We will be arriving the day you are leaving! I'm sure you and your family will have an awesome time!

The girls will be dressing up. Right now one wants to be a doctor, my oldest wants to be a 50's poodle skirt girl, and the other hasn't decided yet. They are very excited. My oldest will be getting braces shortly so she is a little bummed she won't be able to eat any sticky candy (told her she can pass it along to Mom and Dad! )

You might also want to consider the Akershus Royal BanquetLunch or dinner with the princesses in Epcot. My little princess fanatic loved it!

loved MNSSHP. we even trick or treating and ended up with so much candy between me, DH,and DD.
how about the Cinderella meal at the castle?
we saw a lot of the princesses and they were very interactive. and Fairy Godmother is down stairs before your meal for photo op.
