Our First Anniversary @Sports, Old Key West AND Pop! TR finished, new TR started!!

I forgot to tell you Hill, I posted on my TR what building we were in at OKW to answer your question!

Sounds like OKW is great and you guys were having a a great time, minus a few rude people!

Love the Spaceship Earth pics! When we rode it for the first time with the changes, I was thinking "Oh my gosh, they are really taking our picture?! Are they going to have a gift shop at the end and try to sell those to us?!"

lol I like the new changes on SE, even though I know alot of people don't. I wish they had done more w/the space at the end but I like the pictures and the "future". We had so much fun doing that every time! Thanks for reading girl!

That is so irritating about all those people cutting at Spaceship Earth. I can't believe the nerve of some people! Or the nerve of those birds who tried to steal your lunch!
That's also too bad about the photopass thing not working at Test Track. It worked for us when we were there, but I don't understand why that is the only ride that seems to have that feature. It's such a great idea! I guess then they know nobody would buy the shockingly overpriced pictures then.

Yes they were very annoying...and we seemed to see more and more of those instances this trip. or maybe we just forget about it?

I know, I wish they would add Photopass to all the rides with photos, instead of forcing all of us to take redneck pictures!

Hillary - I'm finally all caught up. I've been MIA on the DIS within the couple of days being sick, now I have to read a lot of TR's. I love the SE pictures too. One of things I want to do when we go in Nov is to really enjoy going through the WS. We always just quickly go through them just to say we were there and never really walk through and see everything. Not next time though.

I'm glad you're better, I know how it is, getting busy and getting behind on TR's! lol.
Oh you HAVE to spend time doing that in WS! I kept saying that after our last trip and I'm so glad that we got a chance this time. You really will see lots of things that you miss just rushing through!

I forgot to tell you Hill, I posted on my TR what building we were in at OKW to answer your question!

yay! I saw where you did that!

Wow, sounds like a wonderful morning!

thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Sounds like OKW is great and you guys were having a a great time, minus a few rude people!

we had such a good time...I've been going through withdrawal this week I think...

next installment coming up soon!

After we finished our lunch with the birds, we were ready to walk around the rest of the World Showcase. We didn't have any set plans for that night, other than possibly staying for Illuminations, so we had the rest of the afternoon to just enjoy Epcot and were in no hurry at all. I love days like that! :goodvibes

After the United Kingdom was the area between there and France, and I pointed out the back entrance to DH, since I didn't think he'd seen it before. I had told him about the Epcot resorts and where/what they were, and was explaining all this to him. He seemed really interested in seeing it over there so we discussed possibly going over to the Boardwalk/Beach and Yacht club that night if we didn't stay for Illuminations. I had to take a few pictures because it's just pretty...

We walked over into France, and saw lots of people standing around. I'm not even sure what this is called, but it was a few guys doing some stunts and stuff. We couldn't see or hear very well with all the people, but DH was interested and wanted to stand and watch.

thought this was pretty

after it was over we walked back through the shops and stuff, taking our time. It was interesting to go in these places that I probably haven't been in for like 10 years or so. The previous times we've been in WS we started and Mexico so by the time we got to this side we were done. So it was nice to walk around.

I saw this window and LOVED it.

065.jpg

After France is Morocco, and I saw in the Times Guide that Mo Rockin was going to be out soon, so I kinda wanted to stick around for the next little bit to see that. We walked back through the country, I really think it is one of my favorites. It's just so cool looking...

of course I had to take tons of pictures

DH saw this sign and HAD to have his picture in front of it. If you watch That 70s Show you'll know why. He is obsessed.

072.jpg

After walking through all the shops we decided to go sit down and relax for a little bit. The Morroco storyteller was first, talking about Ramadan. And then MoRockin would be next.

I thought I took more pictures but apparently not.

We sat and listened for awhile, and then got up to walk some more.

Next up-Japan!

This I think, is my favorite. I just love the architecture, and I LOVE the big store there. When I was younger almost every trip I had to get something Hello Kitty. I still love Hello Kitty actually. We walked around in there for awhile, looking at ALL the stuff to buy. We almost bought some candy but decided to wait. When we came out we went up to the counter service place to see what they had, and I saw sushi and decided that is what I'd have for dinner, either from there or Sunshine Seasons, depending on where we were.

When we came back outside DH saw the fish pond and all the huge koi fish. He had to stop and look at them for awhile. I must mention that my parents have a koi pond in their backyard, and they only have one left (they've gotten eaten by birds/raccoons/etc)...but still. He acted like he'd never seen them before. weirdo. So I just took pics.

083-1.jpg

onward to America!!!

as we got closer, we saw people in line for the Candelight Processional. It was the standby line. HOLY CRAP it was insane. I have never seen so many people...there is no way they were all getting in. But the line doubled and went down in front of the bridge in front of Italy, and then waaaaay down almost to Norway. crazy.

I don't remember if we did the show in America or not (I dont have many notes). I dont think we did. Around this time we were getting ready for dinner, and trying to decide what to do. DH really wanted Mexican, and I knew we could sit at a table in front of Mexico to see the fireworks. So, we decided that since Futureworld would be closing earlier, and we could come back to WS later, we'd go do a few things in Futureworld, get my food, and then come back to Mexico to eat and watch Illuminations.

a few pics on the way...

084-1.jpg

So we headed back up front, to ride Ellen's Energy Ride. I've always loved it, even though it's super long. We missed the first few minutes of it, but at least we didn't have to wait. We saw the rest of the video, and then went into the theater. Everyone was going into the middle and right side cars, with the whole left one empty. One of the guys working (who told us Happy Anniversary when we came in) told us that if we sat in the very front row on the left, we'd be in the very front. ok! So we went up there, and after we sat down another family moved from the middle to our side. But other than that it was empty! pretty cool. I took a few pictures...

088-1.jpg

089-1.jpg

Ellen! I must add that I LOVE Ellen. I watch her show just about every morning getting ready for my internship.

090-1.jpg

after the ride, we decided to go to the other side and get on Nemo. We hadn't ridden it yet and I just love it. There was no line, we pretty much walked through the long line, straight on. cute as always. There wasn't a Crush show starting soon so we decided to do it later. We went on over to The Land, to see FastPass times. They were waaay later, and standby was over an hour so DH decided to pass. We rode the boat ride, and then stopped in Sunshine Seasons to get my food. I got a side salad, which ended up being pretty good size for CHEAP, and some spicy shrimp rolls. mmmm. We carried it back to Mexico, and I found a table while DH went to order his food.

094.jpg

091.jpg

092.jpg

He got a burrito, and loved it. My sushi and salad was SOOOO good too. By the time we were done, we still had almost 2 hours left until Illuminations. DH really didn't want to sit and wait, and we knew we didn't have enough left to do really for that long. We walked around, went in Mexico to do the boat ride...

095.jpg

and then walked over to Norway to do Maelstrom.

It was getting chilly, and we were pretty ready to go, so we decided to head out and catch Illuminations another night. We wanted to go to the Boardwalk area, so we walked around the WS to the International Gateway. DH loves boats ya know, so we had to ride the boat over. It ended up being FULL of people, most of whom had just seen the Candelight Processional and were talking about how great it was. I believe Monique Coleman was the reader that night...I didn't even know who she was. Which reminds me...when we passed in front of the theater, they had the entire walkway blocked, because all the performers were walking across to the back. So everyone was stopped. When they let everyone go, it was SCARY mass chaos, as two huge crowds of people are coming head on into each other. I had a death grip on DH, and I get very claustrophobic so I hated it. It was SO crowded, all the way around the WS so we were def. ready to get out of there!

so we got off at the Boardwalk and walked around there first. Just a little story...DH and I started dating in November of 05, and in January 06 my mom and I took my two younger cousins to Disney for a week after New Years. We stayed at the Boardwalk for a few nights, and then at the Poly. Well our room at the BW was overlooking the big tree outside in the courtyard. I sat out on our balcony there every night talking to DH on the phone. Anyway...I showed him the general area of where our balcony was and reminded him of that. cute.

We walked down to the ESPN club, DH wanted to see what all they had in the arcade there. Not impressed, we walked back the other way, just looking at all the people, and the stores. We walked on around to the BC and YC side. I was dying to see the pool, Stormalong Bay. We had to search forever for a place we could even get in, it was all locked up! Finally we found a way, and walked around the pool, it was so neat. We def. want to stay there one day just for the pool! We also passed Beaches and Cream...I always wondered where it was!!

We were getting tired, so we decided to go through the lobby and get a bus to DTD to get home. I had never been there before, and had no clue how to find out way in. We just walked for awhile, until we found some doors and luckily the lobby was right around the corner. We went through the Yacht Club lobby to get out the front door to the busses. It was very pretty, but SO not our style. We felt completely out of place...everyone in there was all dressed up, and it seemed really quiet and just not Disney. I dont know.

so we went out, and only waited about 10 minutes for a DTD bus. But then we had to stop like 2 or 3 more times...I was confused about where we were, but finally we got to DTD. Since it was kinda chilly we decided to just get on a bus back to OKW. We only waited a minute for one to get there. On the bus ride back we discussed going to the store for a few things we needed. DH wanted some beer, and something else? Water? I dont remember now. So we decided to get in the car when we got back and just drive over to Goodings outside DTD since we were so close. I knew pretty much how to get there since we've been in that entrance before and have been to some of the restaurants over there. It was easy to find, and we got there really quick. The parking lot was kinda empty so we wondered if it was even open but it was. We got what we needed and were out and back on Disney property pretty fast. It is a decent store though, MUCH cheaper than buying everything at Disney, groceries and stuff. And super easy to get to, so we knew where to go from now on!

Getting back, somehow we missed a turn, and ended up near some backstage areas or something...I dont even know. We figured it out pretty quick! We got back to OKW and back in our lovely room. I uploaded pictures (every night I did so I'd have plenty of room on my camera and just to stay organized), and we watched some tv before getting to bed! Another wonderful Disney day!

Next up-swimmy time and a very full day!

EPCOT is so fun to explore. Thanks for sharing... I can imagine a slow paced day- maybe in twenty years..... right now with kids it does not seem to happen!

Haha, love the 'Fez House' sign. We love 'That 70's Show!'

Those are HUGE koi fish!

Oh I forgot to mention this on my Epcot day! We decided to ride Ellen for the first time ever! And while we were just out of the dinosaur part, the ride stopped-no sounds-no lights. There we were sitting in the pitch black. At first we thought maybe it was supposed to do that...and then we realized no, no it wasn't. A CM came over the loud speaker and announced that the ride has temporarily stopped and to remain seated and that it'll start again shortly. Well....that never happened. The CM came back on and announced that they would be bringing someone to our vehicles to escort us down and out of the attraction. my first time ever having to do that! So i really want to go on this again and actually see the whole thing through! oh and in the dinosaur scene, me and sis were smack dab in the middle of our row and we were the ones who got squirted in the face!

I saw this window and LOVED it.

I love it too! Was that in the perfume shop? I went in there once and drenched a stuffed animal in my purse with perfume, so for the next couple of months he smelled vaguely of Epcot

That is such a sweet story :lovestruc That is something I love about going back to WDW over and over again, there's always new things to do but there are always so many wonderful memories!

Also, November 2006....that means you have been together exactly one month less than Jack & I. And I'm not married yet! I need to start bugging him about that :rotfl:

Oh I'm sure! But, I can't wait to go with kids, I love reading TRs like yours, families with small children bc I can't wait to do that. I do enjoy our trips now though, before we are so busy!

that's a great story! I can't believe you'd never ridden it before though! wow. I'd like to have that happen sometime, I've never been on a broken down ride, or seen that stuff, it just seems cool. Did they turn all the lights on and stuff?

And I'm glad someone understands the Fez thing, lol.

It was the perfume shop! I love it. I'm a sucker for pretty window displays!

And I love the little memories and stuff too. Really is what Disney is all about.

And, I was wrong, it was actually November of 2005...I'm crazy. We got married Dec. 2007, a few weeks after our 2 year anniversary. oops. BUT, you still should start bugging him.....:rolleyes1

They FINALLY turned the lights on but it wasn't all of them. It was just enough for us to see to get out.

Great update! I love WS. It's so nice and peaceful to walk around and see all the sites and just relax!

Monday December 15th

I woke up in the BEST mood this morning, in my beautiful new Old Key West room! I love me some Disney, and waking up in such a pretty room, with just a hint of sunshine coming in, with a whole week ahead of me...can't get better than that!

I think we woke up around 7:30 or so, and DH wanted to go take a run around the resort, so he got on up and got dressed and left. I took my time getting around, I opened up the blinds and sat outside on the balcony for a few minutes, just enjoying the quiet. I saw a couple teeing off at the green right across from us, but had left my camera inside and didn't feel like getting it. I took my time showering and getting ready, and a little while later DH came back and got himself ready as well. We had made our own coffee, with our favorite coffee and my yummy peppermint creamer, and decided to take a cup with us. This was SO nice, to be able to have our own coffee in the morning using our coffee maker!

I was faithful to Tourguide Mike yet again on this trip, and like our honeymoon, we did pretty good with crowds. We were headed off to Epcot! I was so excited, it really is becoming our favorite, although Magic Kingdom will always be special and just "DISNEY" to me.

We walked across to the bus stop and I'm sure we didn't wait too long. We got to Epcot soon enough, and were in pretty quickly. We stopped for a few pictures...

this on my camera...

048.jpg

for some reason the Photopass ones were just not good...we were squinty in pretty much all of them. I wish I'd known this, because this was the only time I gave my camera to the Photopass person the whole time. boo.

few Photopass ones...

few more pics I took

049.jpg

050.jpg

Of course, we went immediately to Spaceship Earth. Well, actually we sat for a few minutes on a bench near there to finish up our coffee...it was so hot we hadn't finished it yet and couldn't take it on the ride.

So after we were done we got in line. This was one of the first (and few) aggravations of the trip. We got in line behind a few people...a man, and I think maybe one woman. They were speaking Spanish and really loud. Well we walked a few steps, and then they stopped, and held up the whole line of people behind us to let like, 8 or 9 people get in front of them. The only reason I didn't throw a complete fit was because we hadn't gotten very far in line yet. But everyone behind us was getting aggravated at it. The people just kept coming. And a few random times during the wait they would just stop walking, to take pictures, or the kids would be playing on the railings, etc. And they were LOUD. DH was getting really aggravated.

vent over. The wait time was listed at like 30 minutes but we only waited maybe 15...the line always moves fast. OH...one more thing...the crazies in front of us asked the two attendants before you got on how many people they could get in one car or something...because I heard one of them say, "no sir, you cannot fit all of you in one car"....:confused3

So now that DH has figured out where to pose for the camera, he had to make a crazy face.

051.jpg

I don't know exactly what he was doing but when our thing popped up we were hysterical. It was HILARIOUS, watching his part of our future w/that picture running around. We seriously laughed about it the rest of the week...I don't know why it was so funny but oh my gosh.

After SE, we walked some through Innoventions. Is it just me or is it just totally lame??? DH is always interested to see stuff, but there is just nothing fun there. moving on...

We decided to go over to Test Track, to see how long the single rider line was since I don't ride. It wasn't long, so DH went ahead. I walked around in the store for a few minutes, found the tag for my car I wanted. I saw it in October but didn't get it, and wished I had. I decided to wait though bc I didn't feel like carrying it around all day, and didn't feel like messing w/sending it to the resort. And just bc I like to wait around on stuff, just in case.

052.jpg

I went over to the picture area, so I could see DH's picture come up and get it on our Photopass card. There was some girl working there, but she was being really rude and short with people who were trying to do their own card. Like she'd get mad at them for trying to do it themself and snatch it away. whatever. But she wasn't paying attention to anyone so they were trying to hurry and get their picture before it went away. Well after about ten minutes she left, walked off to some room. I had been watching her scan the cards so I figured if she wasnt back, I could do it. Of course DH came out a few minutes later and I saw his picture, and we couldn't get it to work. Lots of other people were having trouble too, and naturally stupid girl is nowhere to be seen. So, no picture of that ride. I was PISSED. I thought about complaining to someone but decided to get over it and move on.

After this we decided to head on back to World Showcase. On our honeymoon, one of the main things I wanted to do was spend time back there and see the countries, and take our time walking around bc the only other trip DH had been there, we rushed through and missed most of it. But for whatever reason, we just never got to on our honeymoon either. He had seen from Mexico-American Adventure, and nothing really on the other side. So that was number one on my list of to dos this trip. So we started on the Canada side since he'd never really seen it.

054.jpg

053.jpg

When we got there this guy was finishing up...

055.jpg

We listened to the last few minutes, there was a huge school group there, from a private school or something, they looked like middle schoolers maybe, and had uniforms on. We decided to go see O Canada, because DH has always talked about going there one day and I remembered it being pretty good when I saw it years ago, and knew it had been redone too.

058.jpg

056.jpg

We walked down to the theater, and only waited maybe two minutes for it to start. It was really good, I enjoyed the addition of Martin Short. DH really enjoyed the whole 360 degree film, he'd never seen one before. Made him really want to go now!

After that we just walked around some, went in the stores and looked at all the different stuff for sale, and then walked around and took some pictures...

057.jpg

059.jpg

DH in the phone booth...

060.jpg

From there we went to the United Kingdom next. We were getting hungry, and were looking for a place to sit and eat. We had packed peanut butter sandwiches and chips and pretzels and stuff in our bag (told you we were on a budget!) We walked through some of the stores here, and then saw this...

061.jpg

We didn't see any tables available, but some the little area down by the water with benches to sit. There was a free bench, and I thought hey, what a great view, we'll go there. BAD. Now, reading here on the Dis about others' experiences with the psycho birds there, I think we were INSANE to sit there. The birds, were nuts. Flying all over the place, SCREAMING, nuts. But we were HUNGRY, and they didn't really come real close to us, so we just ate fairly quick so we could get out of there! Seriously though...what is up with those Canada/United Kingdom birds?!?!?

our view (minus said birds)...

062.jpg

We finished our food, and with full bellies we were ready to conquer the rest of World Showcase!!

Up next-the rest of our WS afternoon and a romantic stroll!

Great pics, all are awesome. You had a best shots. Looking forward for more pics from you...

Have a nice day. :)

Loved the updates. I have been spending the morning getting up to speed on the DIS. Great pictures!

OKW looks beautiful. Someone I know has their DVC there and they swear by it. I'm not sure if they have gone anywhere but! I'd love to see it some day.

Can't wait to hear more.

They FINALLY turned the lights on but it wasn't all of them. It was just enough for us to see to get out.

that's still cool though. I'm a weirdo, i've always wanted that to happen to me.

Great update! I love WS. It's so nice and peaceful to walk around and see all the sites and just relax!

Thanks! You're so right, we really got to appreciate the WS so much more this trip.

Thanks, glad you got caught back up!

You should def. check OKW out someday. DH and I have talked alot about buying into DVC there one day, a resale. Or just buying in and always using our points there. It is amazing, and truly DVC's best kept secret, I dont think people really think about it!

Thanks for reading everyone! We've been so busy lately and I just finally got my pictures uploaded for the next update, hopefully to come soon! Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

Tuesday December 16, 2008

We had decided to do some relaxing this morning! We really wanted to check out the pool since it looked so awesome, and our plans were just to go to Animal Kingdom, and possibly DHS so we weren't in a big hurry. We were up around 8:30, and hung out in the room for a little bit and then decided to head down to the pool.

I didn't take my camera with me to the pool, we didn't carry anything except our mug so sorry for the lack of pictures. We wore out bathing suits under some clothes because it was kinda chilly, so we found some chairs over in the sandy area to leave our clothes and our mug, which we had put some hot chocolate in. It was so cool, there was this big area of sand over near the hot tub with chairs and palm trees, it was just so beachy and relaxing, I loved it.

We got on in the pool, but the slide didn't open until 10:30 so we still had some time. There were a few families swimming, and some kids getting all excited for the slide. We just swam around, and checked out the hot tub too, which was HUGE. Much bigger than the one at WL we had loved on our honeymoon. We just hung out and stuff until the slide opened. A CM came over and asked one of the little girls swimming if she wanted to help open the slide, and that was cute. He gave her a crown, and then they did this little thing to get the water running, and then she got to ride it first and then everyone else got to come down after she was done. It was cute and the little girl was so excited.

The slide was awesome! Much longer and faster than the one at WL. The first time I went down it kinda scared me, it THREW me out at the bottom and I felt like an idiot w/people watching. DH loved it though, and went down o ver and over. About 11 we were ready to get out and dry off. We just laid in our chairs in the sun for a littleb it, just relaxing and enjoying taking it easy for a little bit. I love moments like that...just stopping to relax and not being go go go.

We went back to the room to shower and get ready for Animal Kingdom! We got ready and headed across the street for a bus, not waiting too long. Quickly we were there!

002-1.jpg

We got up to the turnstyles pretty quickly. As I was walking up behind DH to go in, this lady came barreling into me, HARD. I'd had my ticket in my hand getting ready to put it in, and she hit me so hard it knocked it into my hand, and it started to blow away. I almost had a heart attack, but I got it pretty quick. whew that scared me...would NOT have been good to lose that annual pass!! I don't know what her problem was but I wan't mad...but I got over it quickly because we had a day of fun ahead of us!

003-2.jpg

We stopped to take a few photopass pictures...

AK.jpg

DH looks weird in both of them. oh well.

akborder.jpg

Before we left, DH had been talking about how much he wanted to ride Everest bc on our honeymoon we only were there for a few hours and we missed it. So we went straight there to get a Fastpass for it. It was for a few hours later, and I saw that there was a Nemo show starting pretty soon so we headed over since it was so close. We went into a mostly full theater, and the only places left were way up top, or on the end of the row in the front on the far right. So we went over there, and the seats weren't great, but not that bad either.

004-2.jpg

This was a new thing for me, we'd never seen it for whatever reason on previous trips, and I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not. I'd read here that people love it or hate it, so I didn't know. The show started in about 10 minutes.

I LOVED it. I feel like I just sat there with my mouth open the whole time, in awe. I was very surprised by how much I loved it. I said we'd def. have to come back and see it again!

After the show we headed over through the rest of Dinoland, but didn't really stop to do anything. We headed back over to A Bugs Life and did that. It was great, as always. It cracks us up everytime, when the kids start screaming. I know that's mean, but its just funny.

When we came out the sky had gotten really dark like it was going to rain, and I got worried. Luckily it never did.

One thing we didn't do on our honeymoon either was just walk around the paths and see animals. So we went to the Maharajah Jungle Trek since we had missed that. We really enjoyed that, it was something new and different.

There weren't a whole lot of animals out where you could see them, which kinda sucked. It was still fun though.

After we were done it was about time for DH's fastpass for Everest so we headed back there. Since we'd never even been over there before I wasn't really sure where anything was, and I knew you could see ride photos so I went in the store to see where that was. I looked around for a few minute sand then went back outside to sit where everyone was, watching the trains come down. I figured I'd probably see DH come down, and then could get inside and see his picture too. He sent me a text message too, right before he got on so I'd know when to look.

he looks so serious. lol.

We saw that the parade was starting soon, and were also getting hungry, so we decided to go find a place to sit, and watch the parade. There was also only one more Lion King show and it was right after the parade. So we looked at the map and decided to go sit outside Pizzafari, because we could see the parade from there, and then would be able to run down to the show w/out being blocked by the parade. So we headed that way, and found an empty table right along the parade route. There were some trees in the way, but we didnt care that much. We had our packed lunch of pb sandwiches and chips, pretzels, etc (we are so good on a budget!) The parade started about the time we finished. It was cute...I've never seen the Christmas parade there before, so I didn't realize it was the same as the regular one, they just add some Christmas stuff to the cars.

lol, not the greatest pictures, but it was nice to sit at a table and relax, so we didn't care that we didn't have a better view.

As it ended, we got up and walked fast to the Lion King theater. We walked right in, and I was excited to sit in a new area! I think every single time I've seen it we've been in the giraffe section. This time we were in the warthogs, so that was cool, to see it from a different side. It was awesome as always. It was always my most favorite thing about AK, but I really think now I like Nemo better. pics...

When it was over the park was closing, so we headed out. We had missed the Safari, Rafiki's Planet Watch, and Birds of Wonder, which was another new thing for DH that I wanted to get to. But we just didn't have time, and said we'd be back so it was ok.

We discussed what to do for the rest of the day since it was only 5 I think? We decided to go to DHS, if anything just to see the Obsourne Lights since I hadn't seen them in YEARS, and DH never had. We completely missed it on our honeymoon and I hated it. So we got on a bus, didn't have to wait long.

Right after we got through the turnstyles, DH stopped and was freaking out. He had his glasses in his hand and said that he had lost a screw, and didn't know where it was. UGH. we were freaking out, that would have SUCKED, bc he is blind w/out them. He'd had his sunglasses on, w/his glasses in his pocket so he was hoping that the screw had fallen out in there. We walked over to a bench and he finally found it. WHEW. crisis averted. I was so worried there for a minute!

We wanted to see if there were any TSM fastpasses left, figured there wouldn't. So we walked back there, and of course there weren't. So we went back to do One Man's Dream, we'd never done this before. We loved this so much. I don't know why we never have, in all the dozens of trips my family has made. We loved looking at all the displays and the video at the end was just so interesting. If you haven't done this def. check it out.

When we came out it was starting to get darker so we headed back towards the lights. We could see them as we came around the corner, and could hear the music, I was SO excited!

They are just amazing, words really cannot describe them. I dont even remember how long we hung out back there. It's just awesome. I dont remember if I've mentioned this...but if you don't know, the Osbourne family is from Little Rock, Arkansas. Well my parents are from Arkansas, and I was born there, lived there for the first few years of my life. Well growing up (until I was married actually), we always spent Christmas at my grandparents house in Mississippi and Arkansas. Well I can remember when these lights used to be at the Osbournes house, and they showed it in the local news in Arkansas every year. So back years ago when MGM got them, we thought it was pretty cool. anyway. again, words cannot describe how amazing they are. And when they make them dance it's just awesome.

I took a million pictures.

you can't not be in the Christmas spirit there, underneath all of those breathtaking lights and hearing the awesome Christmas music. I also loved that they played the Christmas canon, because that was part of the music that we used in our wedding and I just loved hearing it (Pachebel's Canon).

I actually did this video another night later but I just wanted to share it now...

We finally made our way away from the lights, and because DH is obsesed, we had to stop by Muppets 3D. He LOVES that show, it's his favorite and it's the main thing he wants to see. He seriously cracks up the entire time, which cracks me up. So we saw that, and then were headed out. We were getting hungry and trying to decide what to do for the evening. We decided on Earl, because I'd always wanted to try it and it was so convenient to OKW. Problem was, how to get there since there isn't a direct bus to DTD. When we got out to the busses we decided that since Pop was the first stop you come to, we'd do that. I also thought it'd be cool for DH to see it, since I wanted to get him excited to check in there on Friday. So there were only a few people in line then but we had to wait a little bit and it was LONG by the time the bus came, and it ended up being full of people standing. When we got to Pop and got off the bus, we realized that the looooong line of people waiting outside the bus was for DTD! Apparently the bus changed over then, so we had to get right back in line! We ended up standing, which is fine but I always worry I'm going to fall onto someone bc I'm a klutz.

When we got to DTD we headed straight to Earl bc we were HUNGRY. They were pretty busy but we didn't wait too long. We decided to split a side salad, and DH got the Meatball sandwich and I got the Hawaiian BBQ. DH LOVED his, and mine was good, but I didn't LOVE it. The bread was good, but it just had too much bbq sauce or something. It was good, and it filled our bellies so we were happy. And CHEAP! That is def. like people say, the cheapest meal on Disney property! DEFINITELY a must do for those on a budget!

After that we headed to the Christmas store. I knew I wanted the Anniversary ornament to go with our honeymoon one and since they were half off, why not! (or was it 40% off?) anyway. We looked around and just ended up buying that ornament, although I wish now I'd gotten more since everything was on sale!

Here is our ornament on our tree..

After we paid and left we decided to get on back to OKW, we were tired and ready to relax. I THINK we rode the boat back ( I dont have great notes), and just headed up to the room. We probably sat out on the balcony, DH probably had a few beers, and then headed to bed ready for another great Disney day!

Wow Hill! Great update! :bitelip:

About the lady running into you...some people have no manners! I've gotten my ankles rammed into so many times by crazy stroller drivers!

And I found DH in the pic you took of him coming down the drop on EE. What is he doing with his arm?! It looks like he's covering his mouth.

And I laughed out loud with your comment about his ride photo "He looks so serious". That he did. He didn't even look phased by the drop! :rotfl:

thanks! lol, in that pic he is trying to hold his glasses on. He has almost lost them on rides like that, so he always holds them now. If he takes them off he can't see, so he leaves them on, and ride photos always turn out like that. lol. His pictures always end up cracking me up.

Thanks for reading!

My day has started off right - thanks for the new installment! :goodvibes

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading!
