We started at the Animal Kingdom at 9 and went straight to the Safari to get fp. While we waited for our time, we went to Pangani Trail and spent a lot of time watching the gorillas antics - one of our favorite experiences due to what they did! We finished just in time to use our fp and had the most amazing Safari! We saw a group of rhinos chasing - oh gee I forget which gazelle/antelope animal name. They ran right across the road in front of our truck, causing us to make a complete stop while we watched - it was too neat! Then, even the CM seemed amazed to see the cheetah standing up and alert right on a rock by this. She was a wonderful "guide" and told us we were really getting a good show, that something had gotten them all excited.

After the Safari, we headed out of AK (stopping for a picture with King Louie by the entrance) to take a bus to TOT and caught a monorail to MK. When we entered MK, I told dh to take the boys on the train to Frontierland, get fp for Splash Mountain and meet me at Liberty Tree, and I would run there to get PS in. As I cut through back paths, I actually was kicking myself for this, because I saw Peter Pan and Wendy with only one or two people in line for pics and autographs.

I ended up at the front of the line for LTT and dh and boys walked up seconds before they began announcing names (said the train ride was horribly packed!). We had a delicious meal and a delightful server Cheri. Thanks to Cheri, we are now planning a return trip the first of December - so we can come when the crowds are more manageable!

The boys were ready to get moving and we headed to Splash Mountain to use our fp and get fp for Thunder Mountain. We were happy to see Bullseye on the walk over. After our ride, we passed up the train (long line) and walked back toward Fantasyland. We rode it's a small world, and went back to use our fp on Thunder Mountain - this time seeing Jessie where Bullseye had been.

After our ride, we went to find our spot in front of the castle for the parade (love having shots of the castle in our pictures!). While dh and youngest son sat, oldest and I went to get ice cream at the parlor on Main Street for him. Then, I went to Adventureland for a Dole Whip float for me, and then took youngest to an ice cream cart for Tollhouse cookie ice cream sandwich (at which time I fell exhausted to the curb!).

We watched the parade and both boys were invited out to "help" the dancing brooms/mops with their fairy dust (youngest wouldn't go out though). Then one of the pirates came over to ask the boys out again when they came by later! The CM who invited them was so funny! When youngest wouldn't go (again) he acted so bummed.

After the parade we headed to Fantasyland and the Winnie the Pooh ride. While dh held our spot (no fp being issued) I took the boys to visit the "Villians". We saw Jafar and Cruella. This was one of the most memorable experiences for my youngest (but he now really doen't like Cruella! ;) ) We were joking around while we waited in line, and he said he was going to say "Woof" to her. We laughed, and I said "I double-dog dare you". So, he went up to her and said "Woof" She was sooooo convincing as Cruella! She got this look on her face that made us laugh - then he started to get scared. She told him to apologize but he couldn't say anything (cat had his tongue!) - so she took him by the arm and I was afraid he was going to burst into tears. We took a picture, and as we walked away he said "I never want to see her again!" When we walked back to the Pooh line, I started telling dh that he missed the show, then youngest did burst into tears :(

After the ride (ds was now happy again) we saw that Cruella was gone, but the Sheriff of Nottingham was there, so we went to get his pic/autograph, before heading to Toontown. We visited Mickey's house, Minnie's house and Donald's boat. I always take certain pictures in Toontown - the boys next to Mickey's mailbox, the boys inside the portholes of Donald's boat - and then we headed back to check out the line for Ariel and ride Dumbo. Ariel's wait was 45 min, so we went to Dumbo. While waiting, Mary Poppins came out and we got autographs and pictures.

After our ride, we went toward the exit to get out before the fireworks. We stopped for pictures/autographs with Geppetto, Meeko and Pinocchio before getting on a bus back to the hotel. We ate at the food court and had wonderful sandwiches before going to the room.

The cms are outstanding with the little ones.....makes me smile to see them so outgoing with these kids......thanks so much for your report

I'm sorry to laugh.....your poor son......but the Cruella story is too funny.
The CM's really get into the part they are playing.
Makes it that much more real for the little ones.
Personally, when I retire (which is a long, long time away{like 30 years}), I want to be the Magic Kingdom greeter, like @ Walmart.
Welcome to Disney, I would say.
We're going to be @ WDW in early December too.
Can't wait.... looking forward to short lines...

You sure saw a lot of characters this day! What an adventure for your boys!

Oh my - I feel so sorry for your little one... :(

When I was about 11 - we had gone to a long gone theme park in Arkansas called Dogpatch... I was really spooked by a character ( a MEAN hillbilly - as opposed to the friendly ones) - to the point of diving under the train seat! For the next few years was not very fond of anyone in a costume.:o

BUT when I was about 14 we went back - a fellow there was flirting with me, and I was asking about kids being scared. He relayed the story that the worst he'd ever seen was that 2-3 years previous he was another character he'd scared a little girl and she dove under the train seat in tears... yup - same guy.. laugh. Actually he was quite nice, but my father wasn't keen on his 14 year old flirting w/a college boy...:p

You're so lucky to have little ones to take to WDW - we're going in July -but both my DS are teens now... won't be quite as much fun with THEM .. I guess I'll have to play w/the characters myself!

Pam

My bf loved the gorillas at AK also. We had to traipse all over creation to find him a stuffed silverback...and he is 3o yrs old.
