Our family thinks we're crazy....My first ever PTR

Hi all. Man, it's been a while since I updated and things have changed!!

We went to book our tickets on Southwest but couldn't get the flight that we wanted without having to deplane at our layover. Unfortunately, when we fly out of Dallas Love, we have no choice but to layover. We really hate having to change planes with DD in tow. It makes for a stressful trip.

So, that had my wheels spinning. I secretly wanted to drive because I love road trips and wanted to have a stop over at the beach. I talked it over with DH and we've decided to drive and stop on the way home in.......

BEAUTIFUL Destin, Florida!

YAY!!!! I'm so excited! I've never been to Destin and I've heard how beautiful the beaches are.

So, we'll leave POR on the 21st around 11am and drive to Destin. We're going to stay two nights and leave on the 23rd for home.

I cannot wait! So excited!

It's been a few years since I've been to Destin (well, about 7 to be exact... a little more than a "few", LOL)... but, yes, the beaches are very nice!

I haven't posted in a while. It is with a heavy heart that I report that my dear sweet husband Chris passed away Monday night. I found him unresponsive and we were unable to save him. We are awaiting the reports of the autopsy to determine how he died.

He was just 34 years old but he left a lasting legacy that will live on forever. We are believers in Christ and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Chris is in the arms of Jesus right now.

I ask that you please say a prayer for our family. Chris' funeral is Friday morning. Please lift us up during this time.

Give you love ones an extra hug and never take one second for granted.
