This is my first ever dining review. We were there from Sat 8/16 through Thurs 8/21. Yes, even though the annoying TS Fay rained on our vacation, we had a good time.

I tried to take every food photo...but with a 15 yob and 9 yob....hunger usually took over. We were on the deluxe plan and after some basic calculation, I saved over $800.00!!! We did not think there was too much food, especially with an always hungry teenage son.

These are from Flying Fish.....everything we ate were delicious.

We also ate at Tutto Italia for lunch twice....food was delicious...especially the antipasto for two ( that was consider 2 appetizers ).

Teppan Edo was ok. Not enough food for my teenage son though...not surprised.

Had lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe....great food and service. We consider that one of the top lunch place to eat.

Yachtmen Steakhouse was good. Would definitely go back again.

We love the view at California Grill, but didn't have a good waitress. She was never around and took forever to get/refill our drinks. The food was good but we thought it would be better from all the reviews we read here.

I hope this was not too long or boring. We are planning to go back next August and will again add deluxe dining plan.

Great photos. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

What was the opinion on the potato-wrapped snapper at Flying Fish? I hear it's pretty good but your opinion may be the clincher. Also, which was better received -- the surf and turf or the whole lobster at Narcoossee's? I'm asking for DH. Quality matters to him but so does quantity. Fantastic job, and thanks again! :goodvibes

The Dining Plan is a god send with families with one of these and the Deluxe DP has got to be like a personal slice of heaven! If they aren't already there soon your boys will be having eating contests, lucky you!...:rotfl:

Thanks for sharing your photos, you have me reliving my Narcoossee's night.:thumbsup2

Thanks so much it looked like you did several 2 credit TS This really helps save time did you think the deluxe took up to much of your park time,I did the regular dinner plan for me and my 2 yr old this year and next year I am going to do the deluxe he will be 3 could you just give me your overall take on the deluxe do you think I should do the deluxe?

The pototao-wrapped snapper was delicious and I had the surf and turf while my 15yob had the whole lobster. The whole lobster was about 2 lbs and came with drawn butter kept warm with a votive candle "thing". The lobster was already cracked open when it arrived at the table my son had no problem devouring the meat. The surf and turf was good too. The tail and filet was more than enough for me. I actually gave part of my steak to the 15 and part of my tail to my 9yob.

LOL...for us, the dining plan is totally worth it. By next year, if/when we go back, I will be eating my 9yob's kid's meal and he will eat mine. His b'day is late August and we can still get the kid's dining plan for him.

I don't think it took too much time out of our park time. We enjoy relaxing
during lunch and feel "recharge" for the rest of the day. With a teenage son and the 9 yob who eats like one....deluxe was worth it. Quick service lunch is just not enough for neither of them. Even with a huge lunch each day, my 15yob is always using the snack credits in between and we never wasted one. As for whether you should upgrade to deluxe next year, it really depends on how you plan to spend the TS credits. If you want a 1TS for lunch and 2TS for dinner, as we did each day, then it is worth it. We are DVC members and always made breakfast in our room. Have fun at the park next year.

I've heard of Holy Water, but never Holy Butter. I never realized it, but I guess that thing is like a votive candle. Anyway, it made me :rotfl2: Your reviews are much appreciated. People don't realize it, but all the research we do on these boards gives us more time to enjoy the moment once we're there and not linger over the menus.

Thanks again! :)
