Our End-of-the-Summer Celebration! *TR LINK ADDED!!*

Hi Sarah!

Not long to go now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: You must be so excited! And it would be great if you managed to fit in a DIS meet with your friends as well!
The concert sounded like good fun! :thumbsup2

I was looking at Accuweather.com and noticed your dates are not apart of the 15 day forecast. For some reason, I got really excited for that. :rotfl:

So cool that one of your friends will be their during your last full day. I think that means you should extend your trip for at least a few days. :thumbsup2 It's a sign!

I'd love to be apart of the meet. I think we're planning on doing MK and evening EMH at DHS that day. I'd love to try to squeeze it in, though. I've always wanted to do a DIS meet.

LOL, after you said that I had to go take a look. It said rain in the morning for the first two days. Oh yeah, and highs in the 90s. :rotfl:

I wish we could extend! It's been a while since we've stayed for longer than 4 full days...

As of right now I don't think we know where we want to meet, but PM EMH at the Studios has been mentioned as a possibility. So maybe that would work out?? :confused3

Wow, sounds like you'll be meeting up with quite a few people! Fun!

Yeah, I'm excited! I sent a message to my friend to tell her to call when they get to WDW. I'm going to make her ride Splash Mountain (she's not big on the thrill rides but said Splash would be fun!).

Hey Diane! How have you been?

We're getting down to the last few days which is very exciting!! I can't wait to get back there and I know I've said this a lot but I am soooo looking forward to experiencing the Wilderness Lodge (we all are for that matter...). 12 days left!

I hope the next couple weeks fly by for you! I know what you mean about the days dragging, I feel like mine are too.

All the meets sound really fun!! :thumbsup2

I don't know if we are going to get to see the last AI show but that would be really neat. I bet it is crowded. I think I read though that they have a huge screen for people to watch.

Yep, they do - it's right on the outside of the theater, I think a lot of people sit and watch right there in the middle of the park!

Well we're down to 10 days now! Soon to be in the single digits!:banana:

That would be kind of fun to sit outside and watch the finale. I am so excited to see what AI's like!

10 days, 10 days!!!

Are we really leaving for Disney World NEXT WEEK?! Yes we are! AHHH that is so crazy. So exciting! The weather's finally gotten a bit warmer here to help us prepare for the heat of Florida (though who knows how long it'll last!). I'm a little worried about what it's going to be like there but hey, who cares?! We'll be in Disney! :lovestruc:yay:

Anyways...time to share my last (yes, last one!) memory with you guys.

Magical Memory #10

Yesterday I was doing some cleaning and found some papers buried in one of my drawers. When I opened it up, I found an old trip report! After our trip in 1999 Dad wrote a report and for whatever reason I printed it out and kept it. It's sort of funny that I still had it (I do clean more than once every 10 years...haha!) but it was so neat to read and reminisce about that trip. It was over Easter break and it was our longest Disney trip...10 days! After reading it I realized how awesome that trip was. We got to do sooo much! I thought I'd share some of the highlights:

:wizard: Staying at the Polynesian. I never would have remembered but we stayed in the Bora Bora building.

:wizard: Doing the Family Magic Tour. I did one of my past memories on that tour. It was such a blast. One of the things that was funny was that everyone got sprinkled with "Mickey dust" so we wouldn't act like adults. Dad wrote that if anyone started acting like an adult they'd get sprinkled with more. I remember now how there was this one little girl (must've been 3 or 4 years old) and she started whining so she got sprinkled with more dust!

:wizard: Going to an ice cream social at the Garden Grill. We had coupons for free sundaes. And boy were those some sundaes! They were big waffle cones filled with ice cream all on a warm chocolate chip cookie. Mmmm.

:wizard: Visiting the Animal Kingdom for the FIRST time. :goodvibes
n20305212_31587454_6259.jpg

:wizard: Visiting both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. :thumbsup2

:wizard: Going on Space Mountain (which we thought was kind of scary in the dark but we still loved it) and Test Track for the first time. I remember the whole thing with Test Track. The first time we went to Epcot that trip it was shut down and then on our last day in WDW we still hadn't gotten to ride it. We really wanted to so we ended up waiting an hour and a half for it! :scared1: Isn't that crazy?! But it was worth it!

It was also funny reading the references to some old attractions: the Skyway and even a Mulan parade! Dad also wrote something about how we saw where they were building the new Pooh ride. Kind of like a little Disney history!

I think I'm going to have to hold onto those papers...such fun memories! :goodvibes

Sarah -- you're leaving for WDW next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so exciting.

Funny you mentioned the warmer weather. I was just telling Aaron how the hot, humid, sticky weather has arrived just in time to prep us for Disney. He thought I was crazy, of course. But seriously, after looking at those temps on Accuweather, it's supposed to feel like it's 106! That's nuts!!!

The PM EMH would work great for me. Just let me know. I can PM my cell phone number if you want to text me the info while we're there. I won't be bring my laptop so I'll be shutout from DIS for a whole week. ::GASP::

Btw, I used to LOVE the skyway. I was so sad when they took it out. Oh, and I still call TTA the People Mover. It will always be the People Mover to me.

Wow! ONLY a week! Left! I have 14days today! Well we have been having weather in the high 80's and 90's and very high humidity! So I'm thinking we've gotten a real taste of what disney will be like! :) That is so neat that you have had that lil report all that time!

I know, I feel like this PTR has been going on forever. I'm ready to start a TR now! haha

Yeah, Dad keeps saying how we'll have to do a lot of stuff we don't normally do so we can go in the air conditioning for a while! It's going to be HOT.

OK, it's sounding like PM EMH might be the best bet for a DIS meet. That'd be a fun way to end our trip.

The Skyway was so fun. And we still call it the People Mover too. I'm sad it's closed when we're there (I think it opens the day we leave...).

Ooh yeah, sounds like you'll be all ready for the FL weather then!

It was a fun surprise finding that TR...especially since we're so close to this trip!
