UPDATE The vet said Koda is resting comfortably and doing good so far. I forgot to mention that there is the possiblity of death
as the worms could travel in his bloodstream and lungs. Have to keep him calm for at least 2 months. Thank you all for your good wishes and experiences with this.
Please keep Koda in your thoughts. He is almost 18 months old and we got him when he was 6 months. Rescue told us he was heartworm negative but the vet has told us that he was too young to really know and we just found out at his yearly appointment. He gets one shot today and then two shots in January. Recommended to crate him 24/7 just out for bathroom walks and a hug. Anyone have any successful heartworm treatment story?
