Our dog died while we were at WDW

JoNo - You said the criticism should stop but you made a couple of harsh criticisms in your own statement which I do agree with. My point is everyone is criticising in one way or another, you try not to but it is so hard when it comes to a helpless animal. You also were not able to not criticise. It's right up there with leaving a child in a hot car in my opinion.

You are stating she doesn't have any common sense and she has a big lapse in judgement which is pretty much what the others are saying.

I dont know for sure what happened. The cable he is on was tied around his legs and she thought he couldnt get to his water. Could have been that he had a choker collar on to and exerted too much energy trying to get to it.

...didnt tell anyone what was wrong til my inlaws were at the airport coming home as they were going to take care of Nick the rest of the time for us.

Told the girls when we got home. What a sad, sad, thing.

I think I took it harder than anyone, and I'm not really a dog person.
I'm sorry for the loss, especially for your kids. But I can't help but wonder why two responsible adults didn't see a potential dangerous situation leaving a dog like this. No, the dog didn't exert too much energy. He did what was natural to get to his water. So sad! :worried:

I'm sorry the dog died. I'm sorry you are feeling bad, and I'm sorry such a precious animal suffered a horrible ending.

Please understand what you did could have gotten the dog seized and yourself fined and possibly arrested had someone called animal control on you because it's considered neglect and animal cruelty.

I'm not judging. I'm not flaming. I'm merely stating a fact so if you get another dog, or if someone else is in a similar situation, they can think twice.

Thank you, to you and ML's original post. I couldn't figure out how to say what I wanted to, nicely. It's heartbreaking that this happened. And it could have been avoided.
