Our Disneymoon Dining & Trip Report Dec. 07 - Ahhh Cali Grill!....Updated!

Thanks for the tips on the server at Jiko! After giving some time to mull over the meal as a whole, I'd like to return to give it another chance. If Shellie is there then I could definitely try to ask for her!

Last day! I don't think there's any real dining reviews in here, but just to finish things up...

Day 9: Last day! Saturday 12/15 Back to Magic Kingdom for a little Dreaming!

This morning I decided I had to go back to MK so we went there. We packed up the car, checked out, and got to MK about 20 minutes before it opened. Once open we went straight on Space Mountain and saw our first Dream Team member – who gave us dream fastpasses! Woohoo! That really made my day. So I skipped along for a while, happy as can be, as we rode a couple rides in the morning that didn’t need FP’s so we’d have them for later. Around 10 we went to Tom Sawyer Island for the paint brush scavenger hunt where we found 2! Then we decided to use one of the FPs on Peter Pan’s flight, and as we were exiting there was another Dream Team member telling us congrats 3 times over – once for our honeymoon and 2 times for the 2 dream fastpasses we now had! That was pretty amazing, I was stunned! DH Wanted to give them away but I was selfish and did not want to give up our good fortune : ( I told myself it’d be hard to find a 2-person group anyway). He felt better about having 2 after he saw a couple other people walking around with 2, the dream team was out today!! But he still insisted we put away the 2nd one. We got lunch at Pecos Bill where I tasted cardboard, or a veggie burger, not sure which it was. It was gross but I was hungry so I ate it anyway. DH enjoyed his burger. We enjoyed a leisurely day of rides, did a little shopping, and then decided to head to the airport to potentially catch an earlier flight due to inclement weather (a Nor’easter was supposed to start Sat night through Sunday and we were flying in at Midnight!). Unfortunately we didn’t make it and waited at the airport almost 7 hours for our 9PM flight but luckily we got in before the snow started.

Anyway overall the trip was great – sprinkled with a few disappointments which many were surprising (ie Citricos) but we’ll most definitely be back!

Thanks for writing your TR/Reviews. I'm sorry some of the experiences were kind of sucky but I really enjoyed reading your posts! Especially the Cali. Grill- I've heard so many mixed reviews and I'm a very picky eater myself. We chose the CG for our reception at our DFTW and I'm so nervous about whether I'll be able to eat any food (or if I'll have to be picking stuff out of it). It was nice to hear that overall you enjoyed your experience there despite a few obstacles.

Thanks again for sharing,
