We went to AK on Friday of our trip and came back to the Poly at around 1:00. About an hour after we got back, I was looking for DD2's sippy cup and realized we had left the diaper bag on the bus which also held our camera with all our pics so far!! I called our front desk who got me to the Transportation center. I told them what had happened and described our bag. He told me to hold on, came back in a couple minutes and said they had it. He then asked if we were coming back to AK that day. When I said no, he said someone would deliver it to the hotel front desk and they would call when it was there. We were planning on going to MNSSHP that evening and we had reservations at CRT at 4:45 so I figured we wouldn't have it in time for that. But, not more than a 1/2 hour after I had called our phone rang and the bag was already at the front desk!!! Everything was still in it, including the camera. Just our own little piece of Disney Magic! :teeth:

Does anyone have an address where I can send a letter? I would love to give some recognition to the people that helped us!!

I dont know about an address for you, but just wanted to say that I LOVE that DISNEY MAGIC :wizard: !! Its always so nice to hear stories like yours. Glad things turned out so well for you and Im sure someone knows of a phone number or address to post for you.

I don't have an address either but just wanted to say I'm glad you got to experience that Disney magic! :wizard:

In 2001 we bought our 4 yo DD a little stuffed Husky dog at the Canada pavillion. Later in the day we were in Innoventions and she noticed it was missing. She was so upset. The last time she remembered seeing it was when she crawled into this tunnel to look at some bug exhibit. We searched all over Innoventions and I even ran back to Ice Station Cool since we had stopped there before Innoventions and I thought maybe it was there. A CM saw my DD crying and DH looking around for the dog so he went over to help. He went over to the their Lost & Found and it was there! Someone had actually turned it in! I was sure some child had found it and adopted for their own. I was amazed - gotta love that Disney magic.

Do whatever you can to get your thank you's in. Even if it means unfreezing Walt. I'm sure the CM's never hear enough thanks, but plenty of grumblings.

That's what I figured too! I know people complain when they have bad service, but not too many acknowledge the good service they get. I will have to keep hunting for an address!! :flower:

Great story!
If you go on disneyworld.com there is a place for you to send an e-mail to Guest Relations. I have used this in the past and you first get an automatic response acknowledging your e-mail. Then in a few weeks you will get a specific reply from someone. A couple of times over the last few years we have also received telephone calls from WDW. Once it was someone from Guest Relations and another time it was from an executive at WDW. They do read and respond so give it a try. I'm sure they don't get too many "Thank You" messages.
I believe there are addresses on allearsnet.com if you prefer to write.

This reminds me of when my kids were really little and Disney did, what to me, was about the impossible. The kids slept with teddy bears and my older daughter left hers in her bed when we left for the park. The teddy was white and apparently blended into the sheets. When we returned to the room and figured out what happened, while my daughter was crying her broken little heart out, I called the front desk to see if there was any way we could find Teddy. She told me that the laundry was one huge central area making the odds somewhere near astronomical. Long story short: about 15 minutes later a CM came to our room with the cutest stuffed Mickey and Minnie you ever saw ... and if that werent enough ... I got a phone call a couple days after we got home to tell me that Teddy had been located (a little rough for the wear after going thru the washer and dryer) but was on his way home. Talk about pixie dust .......

:cool1: on our honeymoon in 1994, we went to River Country. Dh lost the lens out of his glasses in the water. We couldn't find it. We reported it missing, and went on our way. By the time we got back to our hotel, it had been delivered.

How wonderful. I just love that. I know that makes your vacation all the better. I had something wonderful happen as well....and on our first day!!

We stopped by the gift shop at POFQ to redeem our vouchers for the free lanyard and pins for using DME. When I handed the vouchers to the CM, he took my 2 envelopes of Disney Dollars by mistake. I believe he set those down on the counter and thinking I would pick them up, he had me fill out the information on the vouchers. I handed the forms back to him and he gave me the pins and lanyards. I did not get my envelopes. When we reached EPCOT, I realized I did not have them and I called the POFQ gift shop and was told they took them to the safe. I thanked the CM on the phone and was so very grateful.

I arrived that evening and went to the front desk and nobody had any idea what I was telling them. I went to the gift shop and the young lady in there was unable to assist me as well. She went and got Martha (she worked in the gift shop at POFQ as a night manager) and Martha walked me to the front; I waited while she went to get the Disney Dollars. There was approx. $150 in the envelopes. Martha handed me the envelopes and asked me to verify that everything was there. I did and it was correct. I thank her and gave her a small tip for her time and her honesty. I literally had tears in my eyes. It is so hard to find honest people these days. People like Martha are a rare gem.

I did experience in 2002 a CM on the Disney Cruise steal money from us and that really hurt my relationship and faith in Disney.

We go to WDW once a year on vacation, last year we tried the BW hotel for the first time. We loved it and they were so nice at the concierge lounge!
We spent a day at Diney MGM Studios and ALL DAY DS, 5 had been wanting a jeep he saw in the toy store. We finally bought it (after hearing about it for hours) as we left the park.
We stopped at the concierge lounge for drinks and DS couldn't wait to open it. One of the men working there, Earl, said he would help our son with the twisty tie things, there were alot and it's hard for little kids. As they opened the package, they saw that a back wheel was missing from the jeep! Our son was so upset, we assured him we would get it replaced the next day but he was really sad. He wanted to go back to the park and get a different one, but it was almost time for the park to close and it was pouring rain!
We went back to our room, and who do you think showed up 30 minutes later, Earl! The friendly concierge guy, with a brand new jeep with four wheels! Our son was so excited he talked about that for the rest of the trip and a few times since then. He drew a picture of Earl and gave it to him the next morning with a thank you note, which they put up in the lounge kitchen.
We felt lucky to experience Disney Magic.
