After an exhausting wedding day we awoke at 4:30am to be out of our place and to the airport at 5am EST. After a surprisingly painless check in at Newark Airport we were on the plane and in the air by 7:30am; landing at MCO by 9:45am, 20 minutes earlier than our 10:05 ETA. While we were waiting for our luggage our Tiffany Town Car driver, Gil, found us (he was very surprised that we arrived so early)and we were soon off to a quick stop to Publix (the quickest stop Gil had EVERY experienced). It was then onto CBR where fellow Anime fan and cast member Daniel checked us in with the help of Cast Member Rich. It was apparent Rich was one of those cast members who seemed to know the ins and outs of all the rooms at the resort. He was racking his brain trying to get us the right room. In the end he selected room 3328. The room turned out to be just perfect. It was a short walk to OPR and a stones throw to the quiet pool, bus stop, and a beach with a two person hammock.

After unpacking and settling in for a bit we were off to the bus stop to take the bus to Epcot. A short 15 minute ride later we were at the gates of Epcot where upon entering we were quickly seduced by the lore of Spaceship Earth; beckoning us to take a trip on the global highway. Once we were done we headed over to MouseGears where we drooled over watches and other Disney merchandise before finally picking up the Bride and Groom Ears (to announce to the world our Newlywed status, of course). After donning our ears we decided to head over to World Showcase to take a leisurely stroll towards Morocco where we had a 4pm PS at Restaurant Marrakesh. It was at this point that we had the first of what seemed like an endless series of run-ins with Disney characters. Just as we were approaching World Showcase what happened to show up but the character bus! Mickey spotted my Mickey Ears, pointed me out to Minnie and gave me the thumbs up. We RAN towards the bus! My wife and I got our pictures taken with Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Chip & Dale before the characters had to leave. We then headed into Mexico and wandered around briefly without ever figuring out where El Rio del Tiempo was….this will come back later to haunt us. We then headed into Norway and rode Maelstrom, hearing the giggles of adult and children alike upon their seeing our ears.

After our trip back over the falls, we scooted past China and the Outpost to find Snow White standing ALL ALONE in Germany. Not believing our luck we quickly grabbed a picture with her. We continued our stroll through Italy and America before taking some time to look through Mitsukoshi in Japan—eyeballing a number of items to come back and purchase later and also enjoying the Taiko drummers (Matsuriza). We then wandered into Morocco to be near our PS. We took a look around the shops before settling down on a bench close to Marrakesh. While sitting here we spotted none other than Jasmine opening up her character meet with another cast member. Of course we went in to take a picture of her and then headed off and managed to get into our PS a ½ hour early. There was hardly anyone in there at such an hour. We both had the royal feast (there went our diet!) and DW had the Berber Passion while I enjoyed tasty Moroccan Sunrise. Stuffed to bursting we waddle out of Marrakesh where DW spotted the Genie, lounging on the fountain’s platform at the very back of Morocco. After congratulatory handshakes from the Genie we had our pictures taken with him. At this point, having been awake for 12 hours and having enjoyed a world wind wedding day, we decided to head out towards the bus stop to head back to our room. On our way we made a quick pit stop at the Living Seas where Nemo and Coral were out entertaining visitors. Poor Coral had to deal with being beaten on by a number of young British boys before finally giving up and heading toward a safer haven. We headed back to CBR stopping off at OPR to pick up our refillable mugs. We then dragged ourselves back to our rooms for a “quick nap” at 6pm…which ended up lasting until 6:30 the next morning when our alarm went off for EE at AK.

Next, Day 2, Jiko, the African word for “Spoil Honeymooners Silly”.

Sounds like a great start to your honeymoon! Can't wait to hear more!
