My fiance proposed to me in the Rose Garden at Disney's Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella's castle. He hired the Disney photo and video people to trick me into thinking that they were doing promotional video interviews on couples this Valentine's Day. So I'm standing there with cameras and lights, hooked up to a microphone thinking do we really have to be bothered? lol We were asked how long we've been coming to Disney, what is our favorite park and why. Then they asked us to hold a prop and pose for a few photos to promote the Disney Florist and show the arrangements that can be made special for couples on Valentine's Day. The prop ended up being a flower pillow bed with Cinderella's glass slipper on top. I noticed an engagement ring inside the slipper sitting on rose petals. We took some photos holding it and my fiance says this is nice right? And before I knew it he was on one knee in front of me proposing! The entire thing was caught on video and photo. After all the emotions and crying, Disney said well we weren't doing interviews all day, we were hired here for YOU. It was truly an amazing experience. They then took us around the park to take photos and video footage at different spots so they could create an amazing video montage! Will post the link very soon!
Hope you all enjoy! It was the best night of our lives! [Later in the evening we headed over to Citrico's for an amazing dessert and champagne toast celebration. We are still waiting for our professional photos from Disney. In the mean time I will post what I already have!

Ok so it says I need 10 posts before I can put a link up :confused3

Does anyone know an easy way to post pictures? I have my photos saved in albums on my desktop. Why are they asking for a url to insert pictures? Please help lol :worship:

Need to get more posts going so that I can post my youtube link :yay:

A little bit about us...

My name is Danielle I'm 25 years old originally from Brooklyn, NY. My fiance's name is Leonel he's also 25 and from Brooklyn. We attended the same high school together for 4 years but didn't start dating until the summer before college. We officially became a couple on 7/3/03 and this July will be 8 years! :woohoo: Although we've known each other for 12 yrs!

We decided we needed a change of scenery and moved here to Disney's Town of Celebration, which is part of the city of Kissimmee...literally disney is in our back yard! It has been a dream come true living here in the middle of the magic. We would never go back! We have 2 cats Pacey and Caylee who we adore, they are our children lol. We work hard but also love to enjoy life. Our weekends are usually filled with roaming around Orlando, shopping, Disney park hopping, eating out, movies. There's so much to do here! It really is a great lifestyle.

We just recently got engaged on February 14, 2011. Read our proposal story above. Will post pics and video very soon as soon as I figure out how to! Our engagement night was truly unforgettable. He gave me the fairytale I've always dreamed of since I was a little girl princess: Our plans for the future include buying a home (we currently rent in Celebration) here in town and actually owning a piece of the magic. And our Disney Fairytale wedding will be in 2-3 years.Yep, putting priorities first. Some say we are a little backwards but we are saving for everything on our own with no help so there needs to be a certain order to things to make it all work :thumbsup2. Many blow so much on the wedding that they never get out of their apartments. We want to have a home to come back to after our honeymoon ;) and not be broke!

That's about it for now...Introduce yourselves, would love to get to know all of you! :grouphug:

Your engagement sounds amazing, can't wait to see pics and the vid! You guys sound a lot like us, we love movies and Disney park hopping, etc. We are planning on buying a house in 3-4 years in Celebration, that's my dream! I LOVE the houses there! Right now we live over by UCF.

Anyway, welcome to the boards and congrats again! Start making more posts so you can post your pics!
