Our Dining Plans****Any Suggestions?

We are staying 8 days in September for out Anniversary and will have our 2 kids with us.

day 1- California Grill
day 2-chef Mickeys
day 3-LaCellier
day 4-Chefs De France
day 5-Whispering Canyon
day 6-Coral reef
day 7-Crystal Palace
day 8-Concourse Steakhouse

if we have any TS credits left we will try to get in a lunch at 50's prime time.
are any of the resturants like CG, CM, or WCC hard to get to? We will have our own car but would rather do Disney Transportation most of the time.
I just dont want to be going from park to resort if they take a long time to get there.
the day we go to whispering canyon we will be at the animal kingdom, I guess I need to look at a map...

Well I think you picked really good restaurants, a very good mix of fun and upscale. As far as the travel to the restaurants. Here is a good site that may help you in planning that. If you do take your car it's not hard to find your way around.

Your choices look great. Can I ask, are you planning to share since you have 8 places listed? Just curious. We are doing the DDP for the 1st time in Aug and we are doing 2 2TS choices so I did not plan a TS for 1 other day and our 1 lunch I was planning to pay OOP. Just wondering how to best use it. i have 2 DD(4&7).

we are actually staying for 8 days so we have 32 TS credits.
for the california grill we will be paying OOP for my 2 kids and saving their 4 TS credits for another TS dinner.

Don't the credits go by how many nights you're there and not by days? I'm new to the dining plan thing, but this is what I understood. I'd like to know for sure 'cause if it goes by days, then I'll have to change my plans around a bit. Thanks

By the way, the restaurants sound great

day 2-chef Mickeys---Loved the food and atmosphere, kids had a blast

One of the other posters was correct - credits are calculated by nights not days. If you are going 8 days (7 nights) with four people you will have 28 credits, not 32. Looking over your list, you have too many TS if you want to go all on DP. If you save your kids CG credits, but use four for yourselves that night, you have enough to get through 6 other dinners by my calculations.

so 32 is right....
