DC was soooo wonderful. It was a perfect day. We were there on November 3rd. We checked in at 8:30 and were given a 10:15 dolphin swim. We got to see the sloth and pet his back. We went and got our wetsuites on and put our stuff in a locker. Then we found lounge chairs and DD10 headed right into the resort pool to practice snorkeling. We went and had breakfast, back to the warm pool, before we knew it we were off to the dolphin swim. DC is very lush and tropical. You feel like you are in another world. Our dolphin was Nate. For me it was love at first site. We got to pet him and we learned some hand signals to get him to do tricks for us. Then we each got to go up and give him a kiss. After that we swam out and treaded water till out turn to hold on and be pulled back to shore. The experience was awesome, too short for me.
We then headed to the lazy river. That was very cool. It oges through the aviary. After that we had lunch. The food was really good. DS19 ate our money's worth! After that we went to the aviary. Then off to the coral reef. That was our first time snorkeling and it was so cool. The water is freezing...wear the wetsuit for that one.
After a quick trip to the snack bar for slushes and pretzels we went to the ray pool. That was very fun.
We went back to the coral reef and then into the warm resort pool. The time went by so fast. We finally went and took our showers at 5. The shower room provides everything you need. They have shampoo, conditioiner and bodywash from crab tree & evelyn. Then they have blow dryers availabe for your hair. They also have lotion and even mouthwash. They think of everything. We bought the picture s and the DVD for a total of$197.00. It was a little expensive, but who can resist. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us. I do want to go back. For 5 of us including pictures it was $1,600.00. Worth it, I say. Here are some pictures!!!! It is hard to pick, I have so many!!
