Our Biggest Celebration Surpise Trip Ever!!! Update 8/21

I'm super jealous that you're at Disney right now!
My DH and I are planning a trip to the World in May 2013. This is a combination Graduation and Anniversary trip for us.

My DH is in seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana and we got married June 4, 2011. We can't book yet as it's just under 2 years away - but we are constantly looking at prices and all that fun stuff just to see how much money we have to save up before we can go :scared1:

I can't wait to hear all about the surprises you have for your kids and DH.

I wanted to wish you a wonderful vacation but our darn dsl service from ATT went down last Wednesday and we are finally up and running again today Monday. By now the surprise is out of the bag and I'm sure you are enjoying your week in WDW. I cannot wait to hear all about the trip when you get back and how excited everyone was when they got to their resort. :) Enjoy your time in the sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read your PTR and am eager to hear about all the surprises!

DH and I are planning a surprise trip for our daughter and I can't wait to tell her..... in January!

Hooray!!!!!!!! Welcome Home!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you had a wonderful time and can't wait to hear all about. I booked a Mom's only trip this week for January with free dining!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome home! Hope you had a fabulous trip... can't wait to hear all about it and how the surprises went!

As you all know, we told the kids we were going to Disney a few weeks before leaving. They were all excited, my husband and I were the only ones who slept the night before. We were up at 3 am to get ready to leave by 4. We arrived at the airport and thru security with no issues, then we stopped for coffee, needed it by then. We were at the gate by 5:15, had an hour to kill before boarding, but it went by fast. When we landed at MCO, we made our way to ME, I had told the kids we were going to Beach Club for lunch. Going thru ME, DD20 thought she figured it out, but again I told her we were going for lunch. The bus actually stopped at POP first before going to BC. DS15 started to get off at POP, but I reminded him we would be going to BC for lunch. When we got to BC, it was hard to talk to anyone because the kids were right behind me, so I told them to sit down while I went to ask for directions. We came back to get them when we had the club level CM to take us upstairs. DD20 said she knew it when we got on the elevator, but DD15 and DS15 were still clueless. When we got upstairs, they took the kids and my husband to the lounge while I checked us in. When the CM said we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite, I was excited. They also gave us a credit for $140 because we were in a suite we didn't need to pay the extra adult charge. After checking in, I retrieved my faimly from the lounge and went to our room. When we walked in, we were in the room with 2 queen beds, the kids were a little disappointed I think. Then we walked thru the door to the living room and their eyes got huge, the room was awesome. Here is a video of our room, sorry for the messed up beds, we took naps that afternoon since we had been up for so long LOL

Great start to the trip!!!!!!!!! I bet the kids enjoyed themselves and wow on the upgrade!!!!!!!! You surprised the kids and YOU got an upgrade. How can one top that!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear more!!!!!!!!

Before we took our naps, we gave the kids their gift cards, They were shocked at the $100 they had to spend. We then went down to have lunch, we were starving. The Marketplace doesn't have much to offer, I got the hawian flatbread and only ate 1/2, didn't taste right and it made me sick later in the day. We then laid down for a few hours, when we got up when to DTD for our normal first meal, Earl's, I love that place. We walked around for a while and went back to our room to find our cakes. They both were good and everybody was surprised. Our last surprise was on Tuesday, for my husband and I's anniversary dinner, we went to Cape May. I should have just made this for my husband and I without the kids, they did not each eat $40 worth of food.

I'm a lurker on the disboards cake thread! Did you order cakes from the BC bakery??? I'd love to see pictures, etc. and here your thoughts about the cakes if that's the case. I'd love to order a cake someday. Nothing beats cake for breakfast! ;)

The chocolate cakes was a 6 in marble cake with fruit mouse filling and chocolate ganache topping with huge strawberries on top. The white cake was mini wedding cake, all vanilla. Both were awesome cakes. They did come from BC/YC Bakery.

Yum Yum Yum!!!!!!!! My dream would be ordering a cake while on my Disney vacation. And you had two!!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to order a 6" white with custard filling and strawberries for our Moms Only Trip next year but we won't have a frig (staying at Pop). We haven't booked any of our adrs yet so I'm not sure where we're even eating yet. My brain is spinning with all things Disney. :rotfl2: Have you started planning the next trip yet???? :)

Yes, planning has begun for next years trip, can not wait. My husband and I are also going to Tampa in February so that will be the 1/2 way mark.

How many are going on your trip next year?

For our January/February trip it will be my friend and I. We vacationed together this year at Pop at the exact same time. I had asked 4 girls total for that trip and two backed out. It was ok in the end. Actually I think it worked out better. My girlfriend and I are I swear sisters from another mother. Haha. Our husbands tolerate our vacationing without them :cool1: and are happy we have fun while on vacation. Although this year we ended up missing the snow storm from #*$&. :thumbsup2 We had over 20" of snow and wind and it was a mess here. All while we were enjoying the 70's and sun of Florida! Oops. Haha. For the other trip (June 2012) I haven't started planning but am thinking about it will for sure be the three of us, myself, husband and our youngest son who will be 14 by then. We have two older sons also, 23 and 22, but I'm thinking neither will join in. We all went together this past December for the first time in 10 years. Our oldest was looking for a job at the MLB Winter Meetings being held at the Swan and Dolphin. It was the reason for the trip and we all vacationed together for a few days and then he was off hunting for the job while the 4 of us had fun. I just LOVE planning Disney trips and of course these darn Disboards!!!! :rotfl2:

I would love to surprise my daughter with a birthday cake, how do you go about ordering?
