Our Biggest Celebration Surpise Trip Ever!!! Update 8/21

This day will be my 40th Birthday and we are going to Epcot, I hope to be there for rope drop and go straight to Soarin, ride and get FP for later. Then we will walk around, do whatever rides we can and head towards Test Track. My DH and I have been on this, but none of our kids. Once we are done we will head back to the countries starting with Mexico. We normally start on the other side and have never made it to Mexico before giving up and going back to the resort. This was, we can work our way back to our resort, probably snacking along the way and buying gifts. We will probably go back to the resort for awhile and then go back for EMH's in the evening.

This will be our last full day, well almost. It is another relaxing day and DTD for another trip to EOS for dinner. Plan to do laundry this day and just relax, no real plans.

This is our last day, plane leaves at 8:55 pm so we are just planning on staying around the resort until it is time to catch ME.

I got our packet from Magical Express today, I was so excited. I have been worrying that my daughter would get them out of the mailbox and know what was going on, but as my luck would have it they arrived today, the day I got the mail. BUT when I opened it, none of our kids are listed on the paperwork, they are on our resort reservation, but not ME. I called and they found the mistake, when we changed our reservation from 2 rooms at POP to 1 room at BC, they didn't change the ME reservation. We may receive a packet with just them in it, but they are sending a whole new package with all of us on it, but now I have to worry again my daughter will get the mail. Either way, I have kept the secret surprise since January 3 and we only have 38 days left (37 days until we tell them).

Thanks, I cannot wait to see it and stay there. Chances are good, she won't get it unless it comes Monday or Tuesday next week, I have to go to work those days and she is off, but they said 7-10 days, so I will be home those days, hoefully

We now have an issue. We found out on Monday, my husband has collasped lung that is healing, but the doctor advises him to not fly. We have a month to go, I really feel we both (dh and myself) need to sit down with the doctor and talk to him.

I called and left a message for the doctor to see if he meant right now or ever again, we don't leave for a month. We have an appointment Wednesday Morning to talk to the doctor about everything and what will happen if he does fly

Thank you both, hopefully after Wednesday we will know the risks. My husband is determined he will be able to fly by then but we will see. He thinks the doctor is just covering himself by "advising" him not to fly

5 WEEKS!!!! I will be there in 5 weeks. I need a vacation, even if I have not been at work the last 4 weeks, I have still been working and need this time away.

My husband talked to his doctor, he told him right now he would not fly, but he feels by the time we are leaving for vacation, he should be fine to fly. For now I am not changing anything for our trip and see what happens when we go back on the 20th, since the doctor called and we talked via speakerphone, we have canceled the appointment for Wednesday.

We always drive to, this is the first time we are suppose to fly. I am trying to figure things out just incase, but with this being such a special trip, I want to fly, but only if it is safe.

Got our new ME package yesterday, daughter got the mail. She hasn't asked about it, I told her I ordered some information for our trip next year, hopefully thats what she thinks it is LOL

I ordered our cakes today. My original plan was 1 cake, a 10 in Marble cake with fruit filling and chocolate ganache. When I called they talked me into 2 cakes. 1 being the 4 inch 2 tier wedding cake, white with white frosting for my husband and I's 10th anniversary. The second will be a 6 inch vanilla cake with fruit mousse filling and covered with chocolate ganache for my birthday. I left the decorations for this one up to the baker. They should deliver it around 5 pm while we are at Cape May Cafe for dinner. I am so excited, we have 4 weeks to go, I am now starting to think of little things I need to do.

Update on my husband-he had his third x-ray last night after work, the doctor called right away again, we figured this was bad news, but it was good news. His lung is almost healed on its own and the air is gone from his chest cavity, we go back on the 20th for a follow up, but looks like we will be flying!!!!

Thanks, the doctor said with the way he is healing now, there should not be any reason he can't not fly at the end of the month.l

Looks like a wonderful vacation of surprises! Who doesn't LOVE that!!!!! Last year we went to WDW as a family in December (oldest son was attending the mlb winter meetings looking for a job). It was the first time we vacationed together as a family of 5 in 11 years. We stayed at Pop and had a blast!!!!! During the summer last year free dining came out for January so myself and a girlfriend planned a girls only trip! Yep, just like you, I had two trips planned to WDW in 2 months. It was so much fun doing all the planning. I can't wait to start planning our next trip or trips! I hope you're able to do a trip report when you return. I can't wait to hear all about the family's reaction to the surprises!!!!! HAVE FUN on your vacation!!!!!
