DH-just turned 40, loves Disney, leaves the planning to me.
Me, DW-36, Disney fanatic, obsessive planner, must have magic every moment!

Day 3 was a much-needed day off. We had the breakfast buffet at the Yacht Club Galley. They had a really good selection of food. I especially loved the French toast sticks. The food was good but we tend to overeat at the all you can eat things and it kind of messes up our day. I wasn’t that hungry for the rest of the day. We spent the morning swimming in Storm Along Bay. We really love that pool. It wasn’t as crowded as I expected it to be. It opens at 10 a.m. and we were the only ones in it for a while. We rented tubes and floated around for a few hours. It was really relaxing. The sandy bottom felt wonderful on our tired feet! They were doing some construction around the pool, and I felt so sorry for the men working in the hot sun while I floated around in the cool water.

Only had a few French fries from Hurricane Hannah’s for lunch. After the pool we napped for a few hours and hung around the hotel until our priority seating for Spoodles for dinner. I still wasn’t very hungry so I ordered one of their flat breads and the Arugula salad. The flat bread was pretty big for an appetizer. It looked like a mini pizza. The salad was really good it had apples, asagio cheese and walnuts mixed with field greens. It sounds like a weird combination, but it was delicious. DH had the Spegettini mixed with chicken and veggies. He loved it. They also give you some yummy pita bread chips with a hummus spread before dinner. We really liked the food here and planned on returning.

After dinner we strolled around the Boardwalk. Stopped a bit to watch the magician/juggler and eventually sat in front of JellyRolls to watch Illuminations. The next day would be a busy one so we decided to make it an early night.

Day 4

We decided to go to MGM today and pay homage to the man. After breakfast at the Commissary, we visited One Man’s Dream. I was really impressed with this. What an amazing mind Walt had. The world would certainly be a duller place if it weren’t for his vision. I wish they would keep some type of tribute to him permanently.

The park seemed empty this morning. It was kind of peaceful walking around without crowds of people. We strolled over to Muppets next; this is a favorite of ours. We also love Drew Carey’s Sounds Dangerous and did that next. An Indiana Jones show was starting across the way. I haven’t seen this in a long time so we decided to do it. It was a lot of fun. I love the extras from the audience.

We had to do Voyage of the Little Mermaid next. It’s my DH’s favorite. He usually gets choked up when Ariel is signing Part of your world, it's fun to watch! We saw Beauty and the Beast and managed to catch a few songs from 4 for a dollar. We saw them on our last trip and really enjoyed them. I was glad to catch some of their show. Next was Rock n Roll Coaster. I was looking forward to this, but I guess I forgot just how wild it was. I was blown away by the take off, but still loved the ride. This is good to do when you start feeling a little tired. It wakes you right up!

We somehow managed to eat after RNR Coaster. We had a PS at Mama Melrose. I got the eggplant parmesan and DH got a pepperoni pizza. I thought the sauce was a little spicy. DH thought his pizza was ok. I tried the tiramisu for dessert, which I thought was a little too dry. We went back to the room for a break and then walked over to Le Cellier in Canada for dinner. DH had the NY strip and I had the maple ginger salmon. The steak was really good and my salmon was excellent. We loved our dinner. After dinner we finished off the night with, you guessed it, Illuminations and a cold Molson. Tomorrow would be a long day at the parks Epcot and MK.

I agree that salad does sound good - sounds like a great time is being had by the two of you - thanks for posting!

Day 3 was the relaxing break you needed. We love Spoodles for dinner! If only you were more hungary....

Day 4 is great too! I agree that One Man's Dream should be a permanent celebration of Walt! It is a gorgeous display!
