Our BCV resale purchase timeline

When we were going through the process we wondered how long the resale purchase would take. Our timeline may not be typical but here is how our purchase of a BCV timeline went:

3/8 - Inquired about a BCV contract at The Timeshare Store
3/9 - Made offer and offer accepted by Buyer
3/10 - Submitted for ROFR
3/25 - Passed ROFR
3/26 - Estoppel information requested from Disney
4/8 - Received closing documents to sign
4/12 - Notified sale has closed
4/12 - Called Member Services and we were already set up in the system
4/12 - Made our first reservation for October 2008

Start to finish - 36 days

Our add-on contract passed ROFR on 3/27, but we're still waiting for the estoppels to come back. Hoping to close in the next couple of weeks, though! Based on your time line, ours should be back really soon.

Enjoy your first trip as a DVC member!!! I still remember ours and it was really special!

We are also looking into buying DVC and been checking out all the resale sites. Hopefully the right contrct will come up soon!

Mulan, you might want to start calling instead of waiting to post. Sometimes great contracts never make it to the website. Ours didn't!

My experience was not as good.

Submitted to Disney on 3/12
Passed ROFR 4/12
Waiting for seller to sign final documents to close.

I have heard of a couple in your timeframe taking that long, snoopdoug. Also, the estopple process has been taking more like 25 days or so. The ROFR has been coming back quicker though at around 10 days.

Here's mine for TTS resale of BWV:

3/14 -- contacted TTS for the first time and began paperwork process
3/18 -- Sent off to ROFR
3/27 -- waived ROFR
4/8 -- closing documents received
4/9 -- sent balance due to TTS
4/11 -- notified that I was the brand new owner!

Less than a month!

Still waiting though to be entered into MS and make my first ressie!
