Our Anniversary Week at the Happiest Place on Earth!! TR DONE 8/30 SOUVENIR POST SOON

Whew! All caught up! I haven't done BB or DQ yet. We tried Sci-Fi during our last trip and loved it! Food & service was great and I loved how quiet it was inside. Grats on your new car and winning $200! :woohoo:

We loved the One Man's Dream attraction. You took a lot of different pictures that I did, so it was fun to see all of the things that you looked at. We also love American Idol. We were blown away by the stage. It's nice to try new things, huh?

Great update! The American Idol thing seems really cool! I thinkI'm going to have to go check that out! A girl I talk to on here going in August when I go her BF is doing the American Idol maybe I'll go that night! :thumbsup2

The One Man's Dream attraction is something I've never done before because everyone I've been with has never wanted to stop and do something that wasn't a "ride." After seeing your pictures, I can say that I'll definitely make a point to check it out on our trip in September! So cute that Chris wanted to read every little thing in there! :)

American Idol seems really cool, too! And yay for awesome seats!

One Man's Dream. I love that attraction/exhibit. I am awed that one man thought so much of this up. What an inspiration!

Thanks for the American Idol recommendation. I don't watch the show at all but I may try to catch it in the parks. It sounds neat!

Congrats on the $200 win at the casino!

You'll like it. If you end up hanging out with us in December, maybe we can check it out together...
either before or after you whip Trent at Toy Story Mania!

I agree, Kristen, more people need to see where all of the fun started. Too bad this is not right up at the front where you'd have to at least pass through it and acknowledge Walt's existence before you ran off to play in the place he created.

Hahaha I remember talking about whether or not you should make Chris go watch VoTLM or conn him into thinking it was a ride! :rotfl2:

I don't know if you know this, but there are different hype men, different Ryan Seacrest guys, and different judges throughout the day! And you know I did AI like 3 times...but...we did have your hype man two of the times, your Ryan Seacrest once, and your Randy and Paula once!

I WILL make it to One Man's Dream the next trip! I love looking at the pictures from it and kick myself everytime that we don't make it there!

Yeah, that'd be fun to walk through it together! Have you ever done the Animation Academy? I think that'd be something cool to try, too. Although, I must admit, I can't draw for anything. I think Jake draws better then I do! :rotfl:

And Trent has no idea! He won't see a winning score on Toy Story Mania when he rides with me! :lmao:

I LOVE One Man's Dream!!!!! You came real close to whipping him that time on TSM! You'll get him next time! ;) I need to check out the AI show. Next time.

It seems like Chris was really into Disney that day!! AIE loks awesome I can't wait to try it. How long are you actually in there?

very cute!

We were talking about The Voyage of the Little Mermaid and whether we should try it or not. I thought it was a ride but she informed me that it was a show. I pondered trying to drag Chris into it or conning him into thinking it was a ride and we should do it but then decided against it. No VotLM for us.

i've done it once and that was enough for me. it was okay but nothing great IMO. i'm sure if i have a little girl one day we will do it again!

Again, we really loved this attraction. What a wonderful tribute to a spectacular man. Everyone should take some time to go through here at least once.

i agree! i love this place and everyone should try it out. i try to hit it every time we go but sometimes we run out of time because it does take awhile to go through it.

i always cry at the end of the movie just because it's so sad that walt didn't live to see the opening of disney world. so sad! but i know he's looking down on all of us enjoying his dream and i hope he's smiling!

thanks for the american idol experience details! sounds really cool.

Ooooh I can't wait to try American Idol!!! It is pretty cool that the winner gets a ticket to audition for the real show. Wonder if they'll show any of the Disney winners next season...:scratchin

AIE was definitely worth trying out, especially for you since i know you're a big Idol fan, Sarah. You guys will love it! I wouldn't be surprised if they show some Disney winners next season, Disney would pay for the publicity! haha

You really should try out one of the water parks! There's great areas for little kids where Grace would have a ball. DQ would probably be something to wait until shes a little older but its fun so check that out sometime too.

It seems that a lot of people actually like Sci-Fi! Very different from the reviews I read before we left but we liked it too!

We loved the One Man's Dream attraction. You took a lot of different pictures that I did, so it was fun to see all of the things that you looked at. We also love American Idol. We were blown away by the stage. It's nice to try new things, huh?

OMD is really great. I would definitely do it again next time we're there, just not the movie unless Chris dragged me there again LOL I need to jump over to your TR to check it out, I keep forgetting because I'm such a ditz!

AIE was totally cool and realisitic, definitely glad we tried it!

Thanks girl! AIE is great, try it out when you go NEXT MONTH (:)) and you won't be disappointed. It will give you a break from that heat too! Definitely try it out

I would recommend walking through OMD. Ditch the people you're with (ok, except your son LOL) and give it a whirl. It doesn't take that long and it's worth seeing where all the magic started with the wonderful man.

Try AIE too! It's a great break from the heat and so realistic, we loved it!

One Man's Dream. I love that attraction/exhibit. I am awed that one man thought so much of this up. What an inspiration!

Congrats on the $200 win at the casino!

OMD was great. Can't wait to go through again. Walt definitely was an amazing man and inspirational to us all. So driven and motivated.

Even if you don't watch AI in real life, try the experience! I don't think you'll be disappointed!

You'll like it. If you end up hanging out with us in December, maybe we can check it out together...
either before or after you whip Trent at Toy Story Mania!

I think Lauren can kick Trent's butt!! LOL

I agree, Kristen, more people need to see where all of the fun started. Too bad this is not right up at the front where you'd have to at least pass through it and acknowledge Walt's existence before you ran off to play in the place he created.

I agree MeMom, OMD could be in a better location. I bet lots of people who aren't Disney obsessed like us don't even realize its there. It was great for someone like me though who IS Disney obsessed to get a glimpse of where it wall began!

Hahaha I remember talking about whether or not you should make Chris go watch VoTLM or conn him into thinking it was a ride! :rotfl2:

LOL good thing I didn't make him go to that, he probably would have fallen asleep like he did in Finding Nemo: The Musical!

I didn't know that about AIE! I can't let Chris know that you guys did it like 3 times or else he will ditch me and want to go on vacations with you guys from now on LOL

I WILL make it to One Man's Dream the next trip! I love looking at the pictures from it and kick myself everytime that we don't make it there!

CP I can't believe you've never made it to OMD! You will appreciate it so much when you do. It's a wonderful tribute to Walt.

I think you can whoop Trent's butt! Represent for the ladies, Lauren! LOL

The question was directed towards MeMom but I'll answer it anyway, we did do the Animation Academy! It was really cool and I'm POSITIVE my drawing skills are worse than Jake's! He could probably draw circles around me LOL
I LOVE One Man's Dream!!!!! You came real close to whipping him that time on TSM! You'll get him next time! ;) I need to check out the AI show. Next time.

I can't wait to see AI experience.

In only SIX DAYS :woohoo: you can!!

It seems like Chris was really into Disney that day!! AIE loks awesome I can't wait to try it. How long are you actually in there?

Chris is really into Disney, period. He's just not obsessed with the planning and stuff like I am. He was all about going back and still is really excited to try things we missed this time.

AIE is awesome, you'll love it. I think the whole experience is about a half hour long.

i always cry at the end of the movie just because it's so sad that walt didn't live to see the opening of disney world. so sad! but i know he's looking down on all of us enjoying his dream and i hope he's smiling!

I cry at this part too!

very cute!

thanks! glad you liked that photopass shot.

i think everyone should definitely give OMD a look through. it could take a long time to go through but you can kind of make it to be as long or as short as you want to. if you read every little detail and see the show you'll be in there a while but if you just get a general glimpse at everything it could be shorter which is good too! i can't believe i fell asleep during the movie, i felt like such a terrible Disney fan! but we'd been running so much for the past 5 days that the AC and darkness just put me right out LOL Sorry Walt! I love you!
thanks for the american idol experience details! sounds really cool.

Yeah, AIE was awesome! Give it a try next time you're down there, even if you don't like the real show I think the experience is worth doing.

I didn't know that about AIE! I can't let Chris know that you guys did it like 3 times or else he will ditch me and want to go on vacations with you guys from now on LOL

:rotfl2: Well you and him are welcome on our vacations! :rotfl2: I already told Mom that I want to spend just one day going to all the AI shows during the day and then the grand finale at 7. :rotfl2: When we go there over spring break together, I'm sure B/F will be okay with going to it since Chris will be with.

Hello! I just joined in, i'm at work:rolleyes1 and pretty much read through your whole thread and loved all your pics!!!

Just wondering in some of your pics, your hair is SO nice and curly, is your hair naturally like that? I have naturally straight and theres soo many times I want to scrunch and make curls esp. when I'm in Disney because of the humidity etc. and I NEVER can get it to look for example as nice as yours!! Any tips/advice and what products you use?

Thank you!!!:earsboy::thumbsup2

I wish we could go on your vacas! That would be pretty cool just checking out all the AI shows one day. There's enough time in between where you could squeeze other things in there too. Over SB we'll definitely have to go more than once...your B/F and Chris are going to get along so well!

Heyyy I actually saw you over on another TR (I forget whose!) and wanted to say hi since I saw you worked at Disney and are about my age! Thanks for joining in! I dont see a link to a TR or PTR in your siggie, do you have one going? Glad you like my pictures so far, I can't wait to get a new camera for our next trip though!

Thanks for the compliments on my hair!! I do have naturally curly hair but not as curly as I make it. I just use gel and hairspray. Pretty cheap gel actually that you can buy at the supermarket, LA Looks. I'm not sure if its sold all over though so I dont want to sound like an idiot if you cant find it or never heard of it! LOL Have you ever tried scrunching it with gel and then using a difuser on the end of the blow dryer? My hair didn't always get as curly as it does now (it wouldn't get this curly until I was like 18) and i would use the difuser on it which helped. I use Dove hairspray too, btw. When I scrunch my hair, I squeeze so hard that my hands and arms hurt sometimes afterwards LOL those are my only tips! try the difuser it might help! (side note: sometimes i wish i DIDNT have such obnoxious hair and that it would just dry nice and straight like yours probably does!!)
