Our 10th anniversary WDW trip began in when planning started in October. We decided "10 is a biggie" so WDW it is! We decided to keep it a secret from DD, since there was only about a month until the trip. Hard to do. I kept a secret countdown chain in the laundry room (how sick am I?) because I was so excited. We rented Disney movies that we don't own, but DD did not see that as odd. I packed while she was at school and on the morning we left we had a "Surprise, You are going to Walt Disney World" sign, Pal Mickey & disney beanies on the kitchen counter. DD didn't really believe it.

"We are going now?" "Today?"

We arrived at DTD Thursday afternoon. The crowds seemed pretty normal. Everything looked beautiful all decorated for Christmas. We did a little shopping. DD took full advantage of the My Little Pony box fill. We actually got pretty skilled at it! Dinner was Rainforest Cafe. Not my pick, but DD loves it. It was a little surprising to see that they put Santa hats on all the animals in the restaurant!

Day 2 we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. The cutest. Once again, I cannot get over the Christmas decorations. The big wreaths throughout the restaurant were themed for cooking. We knocked out the main characters for the autograph book. That REALLY beats waiting in line!

We headed over to MK. We missed the turn and had to go under the MK sign again, but then again, We got to go under the MK sign again!

This park was the busiest. It was, after all, the day after Thanksgiving. But it was worth it. We did not ride all that we normally ride, but DD has been there many times. We rode POTC. Loved it. I like that they didn't really change it, but just added to it. I didn't know what to expect. We got on it when there was a short ride, but later, oh man! Afterwards, Captain Jack Sparrow did a little show outside the ride. It was neat. He was good, fun to watch. I would stop to watch it again for sure.

DD loves Thunder Mountain, so she rode that about three times. We spent alot of time in Toon Town. That was packed. We spent about an hour in line for the princess in the tent. It was worth it though. It was Belle, Cinderella & Snow White. DD rode the Barnstormer. Really long line, but worth it for her. At Disney, I think she would wait for ANYTHING. We saw the High School Musical Pep Rally. It was neat. DD loves that movie. I found a HSM sweatshirt in the Emporium that is really cute. It is a gray hoodie. It looks so cute on her!

We did see the new Mickey stage show. It was really good. I love Mickey & Minnie dressed in the blue outfits. And I like that Donald and Goofy are in it too. I think Disney realized that we all like seeing the main characters together. The princess show up, as do Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, Smee & MALICIFENT! I thought that was neat! I got some really good pics.

We saw more at MK, but those are the highlights. The parade was awesome. Let's see, we ate at Cosmic Ray's for lunch (roast chicken for DH, cheeseburger for DD), and Columbia Harbour House for dinner (Chicken/Fish combo meal). We didn't do the dining plan this time because we were on such a short trip.

Right about dark, we rode HM. I love that ride so much. It was the longest we have ever waited for it though. Maybe 30 minutes? Didn't feel too long but I have never seen them have the line walk all the way down and around by the water. I bought a Donald HM rubber duckie and Donald POTC rubber duckie for DD. Those souvies are the kind that remind you of Disney every day. Love that.

Day 3 we were at EPCOT. Pal Mickey was really neat here. Esp. the countries. We rode the new Nemo ride. I loved it. We didn't even have to wait. It was really neat how they make Nemo & his friends look as though they are in the aquarium. We rode Soarin' & Ellen's energy ride. I just like the dinosaur part  .

The countries at Christmas are awesome. I love the decorations, and DD listened to the Christmas storytelling. Our fave was Pierre Noel. I love that french children put their shoes out to be filled. I think we should do that. We had lunch in China at the Lotus Blossom Cafe. It was DD's first time trying Chinese food. She is really into Mulan right now. After lunch, she got to meet Mulan. That is the one character we have never seen. It was exciting. Also in China, I bought her a child's mug with her name written in Chinese. Another daily reminder!

For dessert I had a big piece of Chocolate cake from the Patisserie in France. I love that place. I could live there.

We saw many many characters in EPCOT. Oh, very important, we had dinner in America during the Candlelight Processional. That is so beautiful. So many christmas carols remind me of that now. We were sitting there, eating, sporting our HAPPY ANNIVERSARY buttons, when a cast member pulled a sweet, happy old lady through the restaurant:
"Here ye, Here ye. (Insert ladies name) is here today celebrating her 80th birthday!" Everyone applauded, sang Happy Birthday and did a "Hip Hip Hooray". She was thrilled.
After our meal, we walked outside and took a look at the lifesize Gingerbread House. Seeing that the Processional was about to move the candleholders out, we decided to hurry past and accidentally cut in front of that same cast member taking a group's picture in front of the giant Christmas tree.
"Excuse me. I would like to talk to you. Wait right there." I was terrified. I thought we were actually in big trouble for ruining their shot!
The cast member asked us if we had properly been helped to celebrate our anniversary. We said "No" not knowing what in the world he was talking about. He told us to go into the Building (where you enter for the America film) and pick up the phone and dial ####(I don't remember the number). DH followed direction and it was a recording of the characters wishing a Happy Anniversary. Very sweet. The cast member returned with an Anniversary Celebration certificate which he personalized. He then PROCEEDED TO WALK US THROUGH THE RESTAURANT WITH THE WHOLE "HERE YE" "HERE YE" BUSINESS!!! I was mortified but it was fun. The crowd was very nice. He also gave us 3 Mickey crispy treats. It was all very sweet and we will never forget it.

Our last day we went to MGM. We did the usual. The parade was great. The waits were not really long. We got our pic with Sorcerer Mickey. We saw the Mermaid show, Indiana Jones and at the Magic of Disney Animation, we all sat down and a sweet lady told everyone "YOU HAVE ALL BEEN CHOSEN TO RECEIVE DREAM FASTPASSES!" :cloud9: :cool1: I was so excited. I couldn't believe it. DH was so happy. It was just so neat to wear them around.

Overall the trip was GREAT! I cannot wait to go back. I definitely want to return to see the Christmas decorations. DD filled up two autograph books.

Hope you can read all this! I would have made it shorter if I could! Happy Holidays!
